“Caitylin was awesome taking care of Sasha. We recieved multiple updates and she was flexible and follow Sasha's schedule as we asked for. We definitely recommend her for house sitting services. She is reliable and responsible. Our Sasha seems to miss her already.”

“Alice is wonderful! Perfectly communicative, incredibly attentive to all details. I came home to a happy, relaxed cat and an impeccable home. We would love to have Alice come again any time!”

“Jamie is an absolute lifesaver. She watches Maui most days while I’m at work, and I couldn’t ask for a better person to trust with my dog. She’s attentive, patient, and genuinely loves her, which shows in how happy and relaxed Maui is around her. She was even able to cut Mauis nails and brush her teeth which is literally a miracle considering Maui doesn’t allow anyone to do it (including me). Knowing Maui is cared for by someone so responsible and kind gives me total peace of mind. I’m beyond grateful to have her as both a roommate and someone Maui adores.”

“Paul has been an amazing sitter for our anxious dog, Ernie. He has been very flexible with our ever-changing travel plans and has been great at communicating throughout his stay.”

“Again Maddy was very communicative and sent adorable pics and videos of the fun times our dog had with her. She treated our dog as her own and we are very grateful!”

About: I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, including senior dogs who require gentle attention and special routines. I’m also very comfortable managing large, high-energy dogs, ensuring they get plenty of exercise, structure, and affection. A tired dog is a happy dog! My goal is to provide a safe and positive environment that meets each dog’s individual needs. I have a hybrid schedule with two work from home days a week and a four-day work week. This gives me the flexibility to offer reliable care during mornings, evenings, and weekends, as well as select overnight stays. I like to ask for a list of the words and routines your pet knows, so I can keep things consistent and comfortable. I support positive reinforcement and redirection and like to include short training or enrichment sessions with treats, along with plenty of playtime and affection.
“Tam took terrific care of our 10-y-o German Shepherd mix, Ava, once again. Tam gave Ava lots of stimulation, exercise, and TLC, and we came home to a happy pup and our home in great condition. Ava was sick at the very beginning of Tam’s stay (probably ate something “off” just before we left and Tam arrived), and Tam was heroic about cleaning up, keeping us updated, and following our instructions to prepare rice and modify what Ava was eating to get her back to healthy in 24 hours. Tam was terrific and communicated with us throughout. She also sends terrific photos so we never miss Ava too much when we are gone. I definitely recommend Tam for all your dog care needs.”

“Devon house-sat and looked after our two dogs on August 11/12, 2025. Devon's great! Very kind with our dogs, speedy with communications, and conscientious with taking care of everything just right. We wholeheartedly recommend Devon to take care of your pets and/or house-sit for you! Thanks Devon!”

“Annmarie took care of our cat and senior dog over a long weekend. She was responsive and responsible, and sent regular updates. We look forward to having her care for our pets in our home again.”

“My wife and I are first time dog owners who recently got a puppy. Anastasia took care of him for an evening while we were away and did a fantastic job! Theo was so comfortable with her and the peace of mind knowing that he was safe and well cared for is all I could ask for. Will definitely be working with Anastasia again!”

“My family could not have asked for a better person than Heaven to stay and care for our dog. Heaven brought us peace of mind while we were away as she is extremely professional, kind, caring, responsible and attentive. I received updates and pictures and our house looked untouched when we returned home. If I could give a higher rating than 5 stars, I would!”

About: I've been caring for animals since I was 8 years old. I grew up with cats of my own and have hands-on experience with both dogs and cats in rescue, shelter, and home settings. In high school, I volunteered for two years as a dog walker at LaMancha Animal Rescue in Chester County, PA. During college, I began fostering cats and volunteering at Gifford Cat Shelter in Brighton, MA where I continue to volunteer weekly. There, I work with cats of all ages and temperaments, from kittens to shy or under-socialized cats to high-energy adults. I have experience administering medications to cats, including eardrops, pills, and insulin, and I’m comfortable learning new medication routines as needed. In 2024, I adopted a shy cat of my own, and we regularly do clicker training to help him comfortable in his carrier, build confidence and strengthen our bond! This has given me a deep appreciation for patience-based, consent-driven care. I’m available weekday mornings before 7:30 AM and weekday evenings after 5:30 PM, with some flexibility on remote work days and holidays. On weekends, I’m typically in the Cambridge/Somerville area and available most of the day. I’m a patient, down-to-earth caregiver who takes the time to get to know each pet and go at their pace. I take safety seriously while keeping things calm and low-pressure. I follow your instructions closely and keep routines consistent to make sure your pet's day feels as familiar and stress-free as possible. I'm especially mindful around transitions, i.e. coming and going, leasing up, or introducing new outdoor areas, and I always let pets opt in to interaction rather than pushing them past their comfort zone. Before leaving, I make sure pets have access to fresh water, get any meals or medications on schedule, and are comfortably settled before I leave.
“Sam was wonderful with my shy, anxious pup. Sam took it slow and Fern really warmed up to her. I got a very detailed report from Sam at the end of the weekend. I came home to a happy pup & a spotless home.”

“Sunny took amazing care of Tater while we were out of town! Sent lots of pictures (amazing ones!) and checked in with us often. Sunny even left us a framed picture of Tater. She is fantastic!”

“Kairecia was amazing. She was so wonderful with our cats and rat and truly was an incredible help. Her communication is incredible and her ability to adapt to different pet personalities is truly an admirable quality. She even got our super shy kitty to come and hang with her toward the end! Thank you so so much for everything!”

“Brooke stayed with our cat Benny for 4 nights. I cannot recommend her highly enough! She was patient with our shy boy and by the end of their time together, they were great buds! Brooke was so kind and communicative. I would book her again in a heartbeat.”

“Angie was absolutely fabulous with our pup! She was so caring, sent plenty of adorable updates, and treated Maisy like her own. It was clear our dog loved her, too! Without a doubt, we’d love to book with Angie again. Thank you for taking such great care of our pup and our apartment!”

Wellington-Harrington pet parents share their Rover experiences
Nina was wonderful! She stayed overnight with our dog who has some vision problems so I’m always anxious when we leave him. She kept the space very clean, followed all instructions, and shared many updates which was super appreciated. Would definitely recommend!

Aaron was exceptional with my 8-month-old Great Dane puppy, Ody. He watched him for the day and was reliable, communicative, and incredibly attentive. He took Ody on multiple walks, including time to play at the dog park, and sent regular photo and video updates throughout the day, which I really appreciated. He was with Ody the entire time he was booked - which was a huge plus since he’s still so little. I felt completely at ease knowing Ody was in such capable and caring hands. I truly can’t recommend Aaron enough!

This was our second time having Shelby stay in our home to watch our dog, this time for a long trip abroad for 2 weeks. She took fantastic care of our dog and of our home while we were away. Shelby was super responsive, very respectful of our space, and clearly cared and loved our dog while she was house and dog sitting. It’s great to let our dog stay in a space known to him and we even had numerous neighbors reach out to let us know how good Shelby was with our dog. We will definitely be asking her to watch our dog again in the future!

We’ve now used James twice for house sitting with our dog, and we truly couldn’t ask for better care. This time we were across the country for an entire week, and we felt completely at ease the whole time knowing our dog was safe, comfortable, and so well cared for. James is responsible, communicative, and clearly loves animals. Coming home to a happy pup (and a well-kept house!) means everything. We’re so grateful and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.

Caroline is a total superstar! We hired Caroline to watch our puppy, Rogers, over Super Bowl weekend, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Rogers is a high-energy ball of hyper puppy power, but Caroline handled them like a seasoned pro. Here’s why they are the best: Punctuality: Caroline actually arrived early to make sure they had the lay of the land before we left. Communication: They were incredibly easy to coordinate with and super responsive from start to finish. Peace of Mind: We loved the frequent photo updates and check-ins! It was so reassuring to see Rogers having a blast while we were out. If you’re looking for someone reliable, kind, and great with energetic dogs, book Caroline. Rogers is already looking forward to their next "vacation" with Caroline!

Natalia is great! She stayed with our puppy the first time we left him for an extended period of time and took great care of him. She was very attentive to his needs, kept us posted on how things were going, and we felt super comfortable having her stay in our apartment. Would definitely recommend!
