“Amanda did an exceptional job taking care of my dog and senior cat while I was away. She has great communication skills and kept me informed about each animal’s wellbeing throughout my trip. She is very detail oriented and made sure she had all the information she needed for the sit. Most importantly, Amanda was amazing with my animals! They both absolutely loved her ( and my cat is very particular about people)! She took time to learn their personalities and spent time with each accordingly. I have never come back to such relaxed, happy animals after a sit! I can’t recommend Amanda highly enough!”

About: Hello! My name is Kayala, and I am a college student from Somerville, Massachusetts. I have been cat sitting for the past seven years and have had cats and bunnies my entire life. I have multiple regular cat sitting clients in the Somerville, Cambridge, Boston area that I have maintained through the years. I am a friendly and trustworthy person, and I make sure to treat pets with respect and love while also taking care of all of their needs. I have a cat in Somerville named Violet, and a bunny named Loretta who stays with me in my dorm during the school year. I'm known for loving my pets more than anything, and have tattoos for both of them! They are my girls, and my most divine companions. I deeply understand the strength of the bond between you and your kitties <3. I know it can be stressful to leave your kitties in the care of a stranger, but I make sure to send photos and updates! I am also happy to meet with you in person, learn about any special care instructions and preferences, and make sure you and your kitties are comfortable. I am an excellent pet snuggler (known for making cats, dogs, goats, and pigs fall asleep in my arms!), but am also always very aware of an animal's body language. It is so important to respect their boundaries! I have experience giving oral medication, inhalers, critical care (liquid food for rabbits), and subcutaneous injections. I am in Somerville for holidays and school breaks (summer and winter), where pet care is a prioritized commitment for me. I take same day bookings, as long as I am in town! I have extensive experience with cat sitting and have been running my "business" independently for the past seven years in the Boston area. I am the sole caregiver for my bunny, Loretta, and have had bunnies and cats my entire life. When I stop by for my visits, I give attention for a minimum of 25 minutes and meet them where they are. If they want to cuddle, I am open arms! If they want to play, I've got plenty of tricks up my sleeve. If they are scared of my new presence, I will sit thoughtfully and move at their pace to make them as comfortable as possible. I always send photos and updates to pet parents when I see their babies!
“Stephanie was wonderful for a one week stay with our pup again! The house was in pristine condition and Stephanie even went above and beyond to help us move our car when construction was happening on our street. I’d book with her any time!”

“Tam took great care of our elderly shih tzu, including giving her eye drops and other meds multiple times a day. She took lots of photos and kept us fully informed of our dog's activities and well-being. She left our house clean and well cared for, and followed our care instructions (for both house and dog) carefully. Highly recommended!!”

“Marcus (listed as Devon on Rover) was a phenomenal sitter for my GSD Izzy. He was in constant communication with me and my family around her care, went out of his way to ensure she had three walks and plenty of play time each day and made sure her scheduled walks, medication, and feeding times remained structured for the 2.5 weeks I was traveling. Izzy is a very loving dog but does require a confident handler with advanced knowledge given her working dog temperament and Marcus adapted to her needs seamlessly. Would recommend and rebook without hesitation (in fact we already have) and was grateful to have him for our extended sit. It allowed me to travel with sustained peace of mind and I returned home to a VERY happy and pampered dog who seemed less excited by my return than she was disappointed by Marcus’ departure!”

“Lelani is amazing and went beyond our expectations to love on Cash! She sends the most amazing updates with photos and loved ones our boy so much. It made having to be away so much easier. She left our place spotless, which was a surprising plus.”

“Alinés was an excellent sitter for my eldery babygirl. Her communication was perfectly tailored to our preferences with lots if pictures and updates. She also followed all care and home instructions expertly, including multiple medications. When I got home I could tell my dog was so well cared for and loved, would book again in a heartbeat.”

“Alyssa watched our young husky for the day while we were at work and did a great job! She kept us updated, kept him occupied, took him out often since he’s still potty training, and gave him a nice long walk. It was incredibly reassuring knowing he was being well cared for”

“We were so reassured having Emily stay in our house with Lola while we were away overnight. She took great care of Lola and we won’t hesitate to call on her again in the future!”

“Great experience, Our pup was taken care of very well and looked even healthier after we got back. Anthony was also great with the difficult times thst i had to schedule because of an early flight. Great sitter and would love to book him again.”

“We are so happy to have found Aubrey. I felt very confident and assured knowing she was with my dog. He loved her immediately. Aubrey will be a part of my community moving forward.”

“Aaron was a lifesaver. I had a last-minute situation where I had to travel. Essentially, with very little notice, I needed somebody who could commit to staying the entire day with my dog, Lulu. No problem for Aaron. He did everything I asked of him. And you can tell that he loves animals. I’m recommending him to my neighbors who often need a dog walker. I would definitely hire Aaron again. He is 100% reliable. Don’t hesitate for a second, if you need a sitter/walker. Aaron is outstanding!”

“Sam was wonderful with my shy, anxious pup. Sam took it slow and Fern really warmed up to her. I got a very detailed report from Sam at the end of the weekend. I came home to a happy pup & a spotless home.”

“Jamie is an absolute lifesaver. She watches Maui most days while I’m at work, and I couldn’t ask for a better person to trust with my dog. She’s attentive, patient, and genuinely loves her, which shows in how happy and relaxed Maui is around her. She was even able to cut Mauis nails and brush her teeth which is literally a miracle considering Maui doesn’t allow anyone to do it (including me). Knowing Maui is cared for by someone so responsible and kind gives me total peace of mind. I’m beyond grateful to have her as both a roommate and someone Maui adores.”

“Anastasia is a regular dog walker for us and recently stayed with our pup while we were away for the weekend. Our dog is clearly very comfortable with her and she always does a great job caring for him and paying attention to Ira’s need and idiosyncracies!”
“Ilse was wonderful watching our pets - particularly our anxious dog - over Fourth of July weekend. Super communicative and comfortable giving our pup meds. Even noticed our plants were getting scorched in the heat and needed some refreshment! Will definitely inept be calling her in the future.”

“Heaven is a delight. She cared for our labradoodle and rabbit for a week and was responsible, proactive in her communication and loving to our furry friends. I did not worry for a moment. Especially kind were the many photos she took while we were away. She was absolutely fantastic.”

“Phia really came to our rescue and took amazing care of our 9-month old puppy! Barley looked so, so happy in all of the pictures Phia shared with us and he’s had a blast on walks and training with Phia! Best of all, Phia left a special memorabilia to welcome us back home (a hand drawing of our puppy)! Thank you so, so much for taking such thorough care for our puppy, Barley!”

Sulekha was great! She watched my cat Peach while I was away and was very easy to communicate with. She took great care of Peach and sent me frequent photo updates!! Would trust her to take care of any pets and will definitely be using her again in the future. Highly recommend!!

Masi took great care of Chewie at our apartment while we were gone for a weekend. She was very communicative and sent us lots of photos. Chewie is older with some health problems, and we felt like she was in great hands. As a bonus, Masi left our place very clean. She clearly loves dogs and we will happily book with her again!

Uma was wonderful! I was so worried about leaving my dogs for a longer period of time, but I felt a million times better knowing they were in such good care. She sent regular updates and kept us in the loop, and she was patient and accommodating with the time difference. We will absolutely book her again.
