Dog, cat, and people person!
Hi! Please call me Lou! My pronouns are they/them, and I am so excited to work with you and your fur baby! I have volunteered with many different shelters to get rescue cats and dogs adopted. A lot of these jobs included spending time with the rescues to work on trusting people again. I am very passionate about building the relationship between human and animal. Additionally, I have experience with cat, dog, tortoise, fish, and plant sitting as well as with minimal grooming. My most notable case was one in which no one could wrangle Sky, a 2 year old pup who had been brutally beaten; he snapped at anyone who came near. After just an hour and a half of walking in the park and sitting on the grass, he snuggled right up to my side for tummy rubs. I focus on how your pet loves, so I can connect with them and provide them with the care they need.

Safety, trust & environment
I am extremely mindful of environmental hazards, so that is my number one concern. I never leave food or drink out, and I always do a sweep of the apartment before I leave. Your pet is safe with me!

We love Lou almost as much as our cats love Lou!!! This is Lou’s second time taking care of our (four) girls and they were wonderful. Lou really understands the cats and their needs. This was a long trip from home for us and it made me feel so much better that they were there. Lou even vacuumed - they really go above and beyond. The cats don’t even seem to miss us. Thank you so much Lou!!
I had a last minute trip, and Lou took the best care of my best friend and my apartment! Highly recommend!!
Lou was wonderful with our four girls. They made sure they were well cuddled and sent tons of photos which we were so grateful for. Would have them over any time!!!!
Such a great experience!! Our pup couldn’t have been cared for any better and the communication and photos gave us great peace of mind while out of town. Highly recommend!
Lou was awesome! She clearly loves animals and I feel like she took great care of my dog and cat. She also took good care of my home and even stripped the bed before leaving. She is a responsible and trustworthy pet sitter and I would definitely use her again.

Schedule
I work full-time but have flexibility to maintain your pet’s routine! I get up early and typically have a few hours to myself after work, so morning and evening visits are easy! I am flexible as well in terms of location – if your pet needs someone to sleep next to at night, I can do that! Conversely, I’m happy to commute from my apartment.
