Hi there, I’m Marcus! I’m a university student with loads of experience with animals. Growing up I raised chickens and guinea pigs for the county fair. I also have years of experience taking care of dogs of all shapes and sizes. I’ve taken care of dogs with special needs, so giving oral medication or comforting a blind dog is not new to me. I understand that every dog is unique, and I treat them like family. With a dog of my own, I have a deep empathy for what it takes to ensure your furry friend feels safe, loved, and happy while you're away.

When caring for pets in your home, my goal is to keep your furry friends comfortable, happy, and stress-free by maintaining their usual routine. For dogs, I love taking them on walks, offering playtime, or simply relaxing together on the couch. For cats, I respect their space while providing affection, whether it’s a bit of interactive play or quiet time. I’m happy to follow any special instructions, like administering medication or sticking to feeding schedules. Your pets will receive the same care and attention I give my own.

Devon house sat and took care of our dog Riley for ten days. He was very responsible and gave Riley lots of attention and followed his routine. He sent updates and pictures every day and we could see Riley was happy and having fun. The house was in good condition when we got home. We will definitely work with Devon in the future and recommend him highly.
Marcus (listed as Devon on Rover) was a phenomenal sitter for my GSD Izzy. He was in constant communication with me and my family around her care, went out of his way to ensure she had three walks and plenty of play time each day and made sure her scheduled walks, medication, and feeding times remained structured for the 2.5 weeks I was traveling. Izzy is a very loving dog but does require a confident handler with advanced knowledge given her working dog temperament and Marcus adapted to her needs seamlessly. Would recommend and rebook without hesitation (in fact we already have) and was grateful to have him for our extended sit. It allowed me to travel with sustained peace of mind and I returned home to a VERY happy and pampered dog who seemed less excited by my return than she was disappointed by Marcus’ departure!
Marcus was wonderful with my GSD Izzy! She took to him immediately and he showered her with attention to her unabashed delight. He was prompt, reliable and responsive.
Devon stayed in our apartment for a week to house sit and take care of our dog, Alfred, and the whole experience was great. We got frequent updates and photos, which made it easy to actually relax while we were away. Devon was also very flexible when our travel plans changed, and handled everything without any stress. We came home to a spotless apartment, and Alfred clearly had a wonderful time. He looked happy, calm, and very well cared for. They went on fun walks together in the snow and even took trips to the grocery store. We would happily have Devon back anytime and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring house sitter.
Marcus was amazing - provided a ton of updates and pictures so we knew our dogs and cat were in good hands. Definitely will book Marcus again when we need someone to stay with the dogs.
