About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who grew up in a home full of pets and has volunteered with animal shelters since childhood. As a former dog mom to my late min pin, I’m experienced with managing anxious or reactive dogs, oral medications, food allergies, and other special needs. I adore all pets, but have a soft spot for seniors and little guys. 🐕 I’m conveniently located between Back Bay & South End and WFH full-time. I work from home full-time and can provide a high and personalized level of care and attention to your animal during the week or on weekends! I take care of every animal as if they were my own and follow owner instructions to a tee. In my home, I have stairs if an animal needs assistance getting on the bed or couch and have a crate that comfortably fits medium sized dogs or smaller. I do live up several flights of stairs, so please let me know if your pet would need to be carried down for walks.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Maria and McAben! My husband and I were in Boston for work for a week and brought our three-year-old miniature dachshund, Enzo, along with us. Since we were staying in a hotel, we needed someone to care for him during the day for three consecutive days — and Maria and McAben were absolutely incredible. Their apartment is welcoming and dog-friendly, and it was clear that Enzo was treated like part of the family. They showered him with cuddles and attention, sent frequent photo updates, and checked in thoughtfully throughout the day. Their communication was outstanding — proactive, warm, and reassuring. It meant so much to know he was not only safe, but genuinely happy and loved. Maria and McAben are truly wonderful people who clearly care deeply about the dogs they look after. We would book them again in a heartbeat — 1,000% recommend — and feel confident they would do an amazing job with dogs of all kinds. Thank you both for taking such great care of our little guy!”
