About: Hello! My name is Mackenzie. I have always loved animals, and I'm currently enjoying life with my lovely Samoyed, Nymeria (Meri). I typically work in biotech but was just recently laid off, so I am free to return to Rover once again! This means I have a very flexible schedule to provide whatever pet care services you require. I am very detail-oriented and will always ensure I have the information I need to do the best job possible. Please let me know if you have any questions! I have just been laid off from my 9 to 5, so I am currently building a new schedule for the first time in almost four years. My typical routine that I will be working around is always a minimum of three walks a day for my dog. We live next to Fresh Pond, which is basically dog and nature paradise (miles of nature trails and many other animals if you are unfamiliar). I am very deliberate in creating a space that is clean and free of hazards. I think having my dog has been instrumental in making me more aware of every possible thing an animal could get into, and I am naturally very mindful of safety in general. I am respectful of other people's homes - always acting like you are in front of other people is honestly just good general life advice if you think about it.

We reached out and she was able to make it work! She stopped in right after work, took Bauer on a long walk, gave him dinner, and she even stayed to play with him - texting us to let us know when she left. When we got home he was fed, happy and tired, in other words, the perfect combination for a yellow lab. It's such a relief knowing Jessica was able to be there when we couldn't be. Julia was a wonderful caretaker for my cat Hester! She was prompt, attentive, and cheerful when meeting Hester and while I went over instructions. During the six days, Julia communicated daily that all was well. And when I arrived home, Hester was great and I could tell Julia had followed my instructions perfectly!
Winita was incredibly polite and professional, asking plenty of questions during our meet and greet to make sure she could take the best care of Pasha during our trip. She sent plenty of pictures and videos during her visits, and we could clearly see that Pasha was safe with her, and having plenty of fun. This was our first time using Rover to find care for Pasha while we were away, and we have absolutely zero regrets.
Stitches’ tail doesn’t wiggle for just anybody—but with Julia, it never stops! He can instantly sense her great energy, and it’s clear how comfortable and happy he feels around her. She’s so patient, caring, and attentive with him, and even in just 30 minutes, she makes such a positive difference in his day. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. Leo is a real pro! I lost count how many times I have left my rather skittish and temperamental kitty in Leo's care and every time I am away I know things at home are going well - Leo plays with Giacometti, sends me updates with fun details and lots of pictures, keeps the apartment clean, and is extremely communicative and always on time. By now Leo knows exactly what my cat wants and needs, including opening the windows when it is warm outside to allow Giacometti observe the birds! Could not think of a better and more responsible cat sitter out there!
