I’m a very observant and caring person, so I’m quick to notice if something is wrong or someone needs extra attention. I genuinely love animals and getting to know their personalities and quirks is my favorite part of caring for them. We had a family dog when I was little and I helped care for him. Last summer, I spent two months dog-sitting and walking a sweet 9-year-old lab and will be going back to dog sit her this summer. As for cats, I’ve had cats in the home for as long as I can remember. I had my own soul kitty from the ages of 6 to 19 and I like to think we grew up together. More recently, I have cat sat three cats for a week and I’m currently cat sitting another lil guy. I’d be super happy to meet your cat or pup!

I am unable to care for pets in my own home but in my client’s home I make sure their pets feel loved, safe, and comfortable. I always follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including things like their feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any house rules the client has. I take my time getting to know your pet’s personality and comfort level so I know how much attention they enjoy. I pay close attention to any changes in behavior and send regular updates so you know your pet’s happy while you’re away. Also, very importantly, I like to have a good rapport with the owner and maintain a clear line of communication throughout so everyone is informed and comfortable.

Matilde is an attentive, friendly, and reliable pet sitter. She sent great detailed updates and photos of our cat, Frankie, while we were away, and even came by early to meet us before our trip. Frankie has some special dietary needs and Matilde made sure she was cared for, while also giving her plenty of cuddles and attention. We highly recommend her for pet sitting needs and can’t wait to have her take care of Frankie again!
MATILDE WAS AMAZING!!! She took amazing care of our four kitties who needed lots of love and attention. She went above and beyond helping our senior kitty eat her kidney food, send lots of photo/video updates, and took in our mail/packages for us. She is also a lovely person to chat with. We will 100% be hiring her again when we leave town next! Could not recommend Matilde more. 💜💜💜💜💜💜

Mathilde was an outstanding pet sitter, both responsive and responsible. One of our cats snuck into the basement while we were packing and Mathilde noticed a missing cat and let us know during her first visit, and rescued Peppers! All throughout the week she shared lots of updates and photos. She obviously a cat lover and took great care of our kitties. We can highly recommend Mathilde and will certainly call on her again.

Schedule
I’m a full-time graduate student and I work part-time at Petco so I have flexibility in my schedule. I’m available on Mondays and Thursdays anytime, in the morning and early afternoon on Wednesdays, and in the morning and evening on Fridays. I’m free during the weekend, depending on my work schedule.

- It’s important for me to know their health needs, personality, and daily routine. This includes allergies, medications, medical conditions, and how they are around other animals and people. It’s also important for me to know of any house rules like off-limit areas and general preferences. Lastly, I need to have clear instructions and expectations from the owner and emergency contacts.
