“100⭐️ Our girls stayed for a week and were in heaven! Playing all day, long walks, and snuggles in the bed! My dog mom heart is beyond grateful for Alyssa & Brian! They’ve made an incredible home dedicated to their love of pets. They even taught our lab to use the auto ball thrower in 2 hours where I’ve been trying for months! Alyssa & Brian are incredible! I trust you both so much & appreciate all the love you give our girls! 🐾”

“Buddy had the best time with Kyle and her pup, Louie. They were all fast friends. Kyle was flexible and communicative before and during his stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her again!”

“Erin took great care of our sweet dog, Lily. She was easy to communicate with, replied quickly, and sent pictures to let us know how much fun Lily was having playing in the river with Erin. I will be using her again, soon, and would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Linda is friendly and knowledgeable. She has a beautiful home and a nice sized fenced in back yard. Missy enjoyed her stay and we will definitely have her stay with Linda again next time we need a care giver for her.”

“Cassandra did a fantastic job taking care of our Great Dane. She was reliable and kept us updated throughout the stay. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable sitter.”

“Cindy was great! She was very caring and present with my dog throughout the stay, sent me updates with photos, and I really felt confident my pup was in good hands. Can't recommend enough”

About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, two sassy cats, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.
“Hope and her family are animal lovers and it shows. They were flexible about drop off and pickup times and weren't offended when I asked for a meet and greet before leaving our dog.”

“I cannot say enough positive things about Jennie and Craig! They are such kind people and they showed our sweet girl Lucy SO MUCH love while we were away on vacation. We will most definitely be bringing Lucy back and highly recommend them to anyone else!”

“Stephanie did a great job of ensuring Vinny felt comfortable at her home. Also provided plenty of updates so that I was able to keep tabs of his status throughout his visit.”

“I can’t say enough good about Melody. We would leave Gaia in her care any time. If she lived close to us and we were going away for a month, we would leave Gaia in her care and feel 100% secure. She has a lovely environment for a dog ( or a human), made our dog feel instantly comfortable, and showed her a really good time.”

“Golda and her husband were great hosts for our dog Ringo. Ringo usually gets a little nervious staying away from us but it was clear when we picked him up that he was very comfortable with their family, children and a few other dogs in the big fenced yard to play in. We will definitely use Golda again!”

“Paul was phenomenal from the get go. From the meet and greet to Mavis coming home communication was amazing. He sent updates and videos as Mavis settled in and adjusted. I highly recommend him to everyone. You won’t regret it. We will be booking with him again.”

“Don't hesitate to have Jessica and John watch your pup! Our 8 month old puppy Hazel had her very first stay with a sitter with Jessica and John and I felt SUCH peace of mind while we were out of state on a family trip! They have great energy, a sweet family, and show so much love- it's palpable walking into their house! Our dog is very much a hound and will sniff and puppy chew through anything- she is not able to be off leash yet outside of the house because she has terrible hound recall haha, but Jessica took all of my concerns to heart, followed my very detailed list of Hazel-care, and took GREAT care of her. No issues at all. They are the kindest family! We will absolutely be calling them again for our next pet sitting needs! Thank you, Jessica and fam! We appreciate you taking such good care of Hazel!”

“Alexis was great! Rook was happy when I picked her up and Alexis sent photos each day. Never had to worry about her while I was gone. Would definitely book with her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Asheville
April was wonderful and took such wonderful care of Wrigs! We had a wonderful experience and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. April was communicative throughout his stay, sent updates and photos, and clearly cared about making him feel comfortable. He came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I really appreciated the peace of mind while I was away and wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again. Thank you for taking such great care of my boy! I think he misses his new friends already.

Melissa was so great! We recently adopted our dog and needed pet sitting for the weekend of July 4th. She was very accommodating and adaptable to changing needs and the unknown of how our dog would respond to fireworks. She sent us very comforting updates and pictures. We were so grateful to know our girl was in such great hands and really appreciated her expertise.

I highly recommend Nate’s services. He was very gracious to us when searching for boarding before a holiday weekend. The meet and greet process was seamless, and I genuinely feel like my dog had an excellent time during her stay. During her board, we received many photos of her having a blast or otherwise comfortably fast asleep. If you book with Nate and Bilbo, you won’t regret it.

We found a loose dog right before leaving town for a holiday the weekend, when shelters were closed and we couldn't take her there. Courtney saved the day and took great care of this sweet pup. Courtney even jumped in with looking for her people with us, gave her a bath, and groomed her a bit to help her be more comfortable. Super grateful for Courtney's help!

Elise is a doll. My dog Kapone was so happy & comfortable with her & her dog Punto. My dog was at her home for 4 days & nights. She sent video & pictures of him being super happy at her home. She cared for him like he was her own dog. That makes a big difference. She asked questions concerning ,helt, meals & exercise when I dropped Kapone off. She did a meet & greet with the dogs to make sure everyone got along. I believe helps out a lot for the dogs. Shes sweet & caring. If I was not moving to another state I'd have her watch Kapone any time I had to leave town. I highly recommend her as your dog sitter. ☺️🤗

Madison was amazing. She not only provided boarding for Ranger, she treated him like one of her own pups. She was extremely communicative, sent pics and videos, and played with him a ton. She took him on little excursions, and provided toys to play with. The most telling was when I picked him up, Ranger greeted me, but went back to give her some love also. I'll definitely book with Madison again.

Golda took awesome care of our girl Jelly! Great communication and a really sweet family. Jelly seemed so comfortable as soon as we dropped her off and seemed like she had made herself right at home when we came to pick her up. We will definitely book her again the next time we’re out of town!

Jackie was awesome! Very easy to work with and took excellent care of our puppy. During Daisy’s stay, Jackie communicated daily with photos and videos. Daisy had a blast with Jackie and her friends. She was able to go on several adventures, which were important experiences for Daisy. I’d highly recommend Jackie to anyone.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
