“Allison was great with Kevin and made us feel at ease on our vacation. She sent daily updates with pictures and details about their day, and made him feel right at home. I’d highly recommend her and will use her in the future!”

About: I am a seasoned veterinary technician that would love to take care of your beloved family member. As a veterinary professional I have the skills to not only love your pet, medicate, walk, groom, nail trim, and other services I provide but also know the first signs of distress or sickness in emergency situations. I want my clients to feel fully confident about who they are entrusting their pets with and feel worrieless when the sitter is over. I work part time, and im currently in a sonography program which I do all online so i stay home a lot doing homework and studying so if I’m pet sitting at your home i will for sure be with your pet I make sure that I know all the emergency contact information as well and any known health issues prior to booking . I mostly book pet sitting at other clients homes and make sure I am familiar with the area.
“I trust Gabriel with Molly because he is kind, considerate, and really pays attention to her. She likes his dog, Kira, so that's also a bonus. I love it when he is available to take her!!”

“Brody and his Dad are the best. The set up is perfect..the dogs loved the large fenced yard to run and play. They came home happy and loved. Moose is an older Shitzu mix, with cataracts and is hard of hearing, but Brody gave him extra love, during his week long stay, and sent photos and videos. Bentley is a 7yr old toy Manchester Terrier, who had the time of his life playing with the other dogs!Brody (and his Dad) cared for our dogs so well. A big thanks!”
“Hope and her family are animal lovers and it shows. They were flexible about drop off and pickup times and weren't offended when I asked for a meet and greet before leaving our dog.”

“Joseph and Andrea were wonderful hosts/care takers to our 2 dogs. They would send pictures and you could see how happy ours were. Will definitely be using them again!”

“Jennie and Craig were great! My dogs had a blast. Dropped my pups off for the day while I did a ski trip. They had a great day enjoying the yard, house, and all the love. They napped hard as soon as we got home. Update and photos midday! Woukd recommend to anyone, and hope to use them again!”

“Ethan & Hope are wonderful sitters! They are kind and personable, keeping us updated on all the fun! They have two dog, Carlos & Honeybee who are so sweet and got along great with Gator! Highly recommend!”

“Cannot say enough good things about Teresa. She took such good care of my pup and was very communicative, providing daily updates to show how much fun my dog was having. Provides a safe and nurturing environment and my dog had a blast!”

“Madelyne was welcoming and great with communication. I especially appreciated her updates the weekend. She has a great yard for the pups to play. Would definitely use her services again!”

“Melody and her husband did an excellent job looking after my two rowdy pups. She watched them over a holiday weekend (Easter) and l couldn't have asked for better care. She was very sweet and friendly, her husband was the same. She was very informative and sent lots of pictures of the dogs. I would definitely use her services again and l highly recommend her for those looking for excellent care.”

“Jackson and Nichole were wonderful when caring for our boys! They were open, kind, flexible, and understanding. We were in a pinch, and they worked with us. When Luka was acting out of character, they worked with him and us, knowing he is a puppy. Their sweet dog, Indie, was a great playmate for the boys, and I am sure they miss her. We highly recommend them!”

“I highly recommend Jackie! She has a very calm demeanor and my pup was instantly relaxed with her. She took notes on my dogs preferences and health needs and kept me updated while I was gone. If you want to feel reassured your pet is in good hands then definitely request her.”

“Miranda was such a great sitter for my two golden retrievers. I got multiple updates daily of them playing in her yard, sometimes with some of her daycare pup friends. My dogs were happy and well cared for when I picked them up after my 5 day work trip. I would definitely book with her again!”

“We couldn’t have been happier with Jessica and Jack’s care of Blue and the overall experience. They were super responsive, friendly, helpful and accommodating from the first time I contacted them until the end of our dog’s stay. Jessica sent pictures and/or videos every day and so we didn’t have any concerns or worries during our time away. Very grateful for the love and care they gave our Blue- highly recommended!”

This was Blu’s second time staying with Jacqueline so I already knew he was in great hands. He was excited to arrive at her home. I got photos and updates and could easily tell that he was being loved. Jacqueline is great with communication and was so accommodating when my flight was repeatedly delayed. I highly recommend!

Golda was great! Very communicative and sent several pictures of our pup while we were away. She has a great fenced in yard that our dog loved, he was very happy when we picked him up and seemed to be well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend and will be using her again!

Melissa was so great! We recently adopted our dog and needed pet sitting for the weekend of July 4th. She was very accommodating and adaptable to changing needs and the unknown of how our dog would respond to fireworks. She sent us very comforting updates and pictures. We were so grateful to know our girl was in such great hands and really appreciated her expertise.

I highly recommend Nate’s services. He was very gracious to us when searching for boarding before a holiday weekend. The meet and greet process was seamless, and I genuinely feel like my dog had an excellent time during her stay. During her board, we received many photos of her having a blast or otherwise comfortably fast asleep. If you book with Nate and Bilbo, you won’t regret it.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
