“The dogs loved having Jessie checking in on them and playing inside and outside while I was out of town for a day trip. Jessie provided great feedback on the dog’s behavior as a trainer and sitter, and sent lots of updates and pictures during the stay. I will definitely be rebooking in the future!”

About: Having grown up with dogs and cats, I know how important taking care of our fur babies is! I have lots of experience taking care of both, big and small, for friends and family. I’d love to extend that personalized care I provide to my own dog to your pets! I accept requests mostly on weekday evenings at the moment, and some weekends depending on my personal schedule. Working in daily doggy walks is something I enjoy! I try my best to keep my calendar updated. Before any services are provided, I will set up a meet and greet to ensure I’m a good fit for your pet and your needs. First and foremost, I want to make sure we all get along and you feel excited to leave your pet with me! For pet visit care, you can expect me to do things such as: ensure their water bowl is full, clean their litter box (cats), feed them, give them pets and treats, pick up any small accidents (potty or house cleanliness-related), or let them out into a fenced backyard (dogs) for a bit. This, of course, can change depending on your needs for your service. Happy to adjust if needed for dogs that might need more specific care, such as medical treatments. Pet sitting would include all this, as well as walks for the pups and additional cuddle time! If tending to my own errands or other client’s pets during the day, I will only be up to 5 hours away from the home at a time, unless told otherwise is necessary. With house sitting, you can rest assured your home will be respected and taken care of. I will make sure I leave things clean, and your pets happy.

“Ariel went above and beyond while we were gone for a week. Betty and Rocco were very happy when we came back and the house and the yard looked great. Will definitely use her again soon.”

About: I have always been very passionate about animals and grew up caring for them anyway I could. Over the years, I’ve had experience caring for a variety of animals, including rehabilitating wildlife. I regularly care for family pets when they are out of town and really do enjoy spending time with the animals. I have fostered both cats and dogs through AHS, and brother wolf which gave me experience with medical care, administrating medicine, and being able to handle animals with different needs and personalities. I am very committed to being able to give your pets a comfortable and safe environment while with me. I currently work part time so I have lots of time for the animals! I have my own pets at home so I have a general understanding of what is needed and I have cared for a variety of pets. I do prefer to board at clients homes, where animals are in their own homes and more likely to be comfortable. When in a clients home, I absolutely treat the space and pets as if it was my own. As a pet owner myself, I know how it is always worrying about if your pets are safe and being cared for. My goal is to give you peace of mind by by providing reliable, and compassionate care for your pets while caring for your home. I am always happy to communicate, give updates, and answer any questions so please feel free to reach out if you’d like to know more!
“Wonderful compassionate sitter. I trust her and feel comfortable my sweethearts are receiving warm, loving, safe and compassionate care while I’m gone. I would book her again in a New York minute. You won’t be disappointed.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs & cats since I was 10. I’ve helped numerous friends, neighbors, and family members with house sitting, dog walks, and pet care. I am currently a second year PA student on clinical rotations so I have a lot of flexibility to take care of your fur babies. I live in an apartment so I would prefer to take care of your fur baby in your own home but I am flexible to other arrangements.
“I’d highly recommend Chelsea, she took care of our two loving Labs with love and care while we were out of town. She communicated with us and sent photos of our fur babies. We will definitely be booking again.”

About: I cared for family dogs, cats & horses through childhood & my 20s. Here in Asheville, I've had two dogs (one at a time) for 13 years. I am attuned to safety & health first; then I focus on play/walking to provide fun & exercise for emotional, mental & physical stimulation. In addition to having food, water, shelter & a comfortable temperature, all pets need to feel safe, loved & respected. I am gentle, thorough, attentive, & caring, & I follow all instructions. I have worked with puppies through senior dogs as well as my flighty, 51-lb. 6-yr-old, reactive Pit Bull/Cane Corso rescue, whom I walk daily & hike with weekly. I've used the Behavior Adjustment & Doggy Dan training systems with this sweet companion, who had been abused & neglected before I adopted her at 14 months. I have done drop-in visits for friends for 10 yrs. & can give medications orally, in ears & as injections. Before a first service, I do a meet & greet to get to know you & your furry friend & learn about how your canine relates to people, other dogs, cats, squirrels & rabbits. Activiies include playing fetch, tug of war, food puzzles & your pup's favorites. I'm available for drop-ins and dog walking between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Also I'm free between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. I am a musician, but I play the clarinet in between Rover service sessions. At this time, I do not care for pets in my home or my client's home. Instead, I do drop-in visits and 30-minute walks in your neighborhood.
“Jen is my go-to person for visiting my cranky cat when I'm out of town. She goes out of her way to pay Ripley attention and make sure she feels loved. Such peace of mind when I'm traveling!”

“So appreciate Sydney looking after my girls, taking the time to talk to them, have some lap and scratch time! It is so nice to feel at peace knowing my kitties are well taken car of by Sydney!!!! Awesome!!!”

“David did an excellent job caring for my senior cat! He dropped by twice a day for a week to feed my kitty, scoop litter, and give him some playtime and affection. My cat occasionally throws up a hairball, and this unfortunately happened on my couch the first night I was away. David cleaned up the mess as best he could, which made it a lot easier to get my couch slipcovers clean when I got home. He also took out my trash to the basement when it was getting full and brought in my mail. David was very communicative, sending photos and a little update with each check-in. David’s reliable and compassionate care for my cat gave me peace of mind, allowing me to enjoy my vacation! I would highly recommend David as a cat sitter!”

“This was the first time Shannon did a drop-in to let our dogs out while we were gone for the day and it went great. We didn't have to worry about rushing home cause they were taken care of. Will definitely use her again when we have the need.”

“Not to be dramatic, but Louise is the best dog sitter I’ve ever had! My pup, Dolly, absolutely loves her and she’s always providing the sweetest most thoughtful updates and cute pictures. I always know Dolly will be well taken care of with Louise. I work long days in the summer months, so I need someone to give her exercise and attention during the day when I can’t. With other sitters I would come home and Dolly would still seem wound up, but she seems like she’s getting exactly what she needs with Louise. Couldn’t be happier with her!”

Alex was such a gem! He sent very thorough notes and took lots of pics of our cats when he dropped in:) He did exactly what we instructed him to and we felt very safe having him take care of our babies. Would definitely recommend Alex and will book with him again in the future. He really went above and beyond!

Carolyn was the perfect sitter for our three cats -- she came on time every day that was scheduled and left us updates, and multiple pictures and videos! It was something we looked forward to every few days during our honeymoon! Carolyn was also very responsive and communicative.
Adalin took great care of our pup, Boone! She updated with plenty of photos and messages throughout his stay. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. We would absolutely book with them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

Emily always does SUCH a great job with Vader. He loves when she comes to check on him and it makes the short term separation a little easier for me knowing how comfortable he is with her. She is extremely respectful of my expectations and treats my home and Vader with the utmost care. Added bonus, she gets the greatest action shots of Vaders energy and happiness.

Maria is awesome! Highest possible recommendation. She is new to Rover but she has been house sitting for us for years and is the best house sitter we've ever had! Not only is Maria a superb animal caretaker and house sitter, she is who you want taking care of your house if something goes wrong. Over the years she has house sat for us, she's delt with plumbing, electrical and AC issues that have popped up while we are traveling. She handled all of them with the utmost care and professionalism. Again, we give Maria our highest recommendation for all pet services!

Paris has been walkingy dog several times a week for over a month. My dog Asher absolutely adores Paris! He seems to know when Paris is on the way to my house. Asher also boarded once at Paris' home when I had a brief emergency hospitalzation. Asher was well cared for. I can highly recommend Paris.
