“Thank you- absolutely amazing!! I needed last minute care for Atlas and couldn’t have made a better choice. He was well taken care of and I loved the updates. I came home to a happy and cared for pup <3”

“Pamela is great! She is punctual and our kitty loves her! She communicates regularly. She even went the extra mile and replaced the batteries in our touch-activated faucet. Thanks Pamela!”

“Katie was awesome. I loved her from the moment I met her (and she met my pups) and I knew without a doubt I was leaving them in great expert hands. She took excellent care of Tavish and Tessie and their particular needs while we were away for the weekend. I won't hesitate to use Katie again.”

About: My friends tell me I treat their pets like my own when I watch them! People have told me that they appreciate that I pay attention to details and send lots of updates. I have an elderly dog myself with special needs, have taken dog training classes and genuinely love animals! I am excited to learn about what care your dog needs and help them feel safe and cared for! I can do recurring drop ins once we have had our first sitting to make sure it’s a good fit! I have my calendar blocked off Tuesdays and Thursdays but feel free to reach out about one-offs! I work remotely, so I’d like to make myself available to help you out during the day with quick drop ins, short walks and potty breaks! My currently availability says the morning but I do have some availability in the afternoons at times. My dog is trained with positive reinforcement based methods. She is an older dog with medication requirements and I understand the extra care and play restrictions they can have! Whether it’s creating a quick interactive puzzle game or playing gently in the backyard, happy to help your dog get some attention during the day!
“Wonderful compassionate sitter. I trust her and feel comfortable my sweethearts are receiving warm, loving, safe and compassionate care while I’m gone. I would book her again in a New York minute. You won’t be disappointed.”

“Elizabeth took great care of our cats while we were away. While they’re too shy for socializing, she ensured that their food, water, and litter boxes were maintained. We would recommend Elizabeth and schedule with her again!”

“Caitlin is the best!! Finding someone you can truly trust with your pet when you’re away is not an easy task and Caitlin is that person! We travel a couple times a year on trips our pup can’t come along and it used to be so stressful because we were worried the whole time about our pup. Not any more! It’s almost like our pup gets a little vacation of her own while we’re away because she loves Caitlin so much! I always say this but Caitlin is the best communicator.. she provides in-depth write-ups with tons of photos. Our dog has a recently had some stomach issues and had some digestive issues the first couple of days we were away and Caitlin kept us in the loop with everything, going above and beyond, and also easing my mind with great communication as our pup’s symptoms quickly improved and completely resolved. If you are considering Caitlin for Rover services, I can’t recommend her enough! Look back through her amazing reviews and you’ll find others from me! She continues to be the best and we are so grateful for her!!”

“Alex was amazing with our girl! We have a senior, diabetic dog who needs quite a few supplements and medication, as well as daily timed feedings and insulin injections. It’s is very hard to find someone who has experience with diabetic dogs, but Alex had experience and was more than willing to go the extra mile to keep her safe and healthy while we were gone. He had excellent communication and always asked questions about anything he was unsure of, which made me feel very confident in his ability to take care of our senior. He always let us know how she did at each meal, her blood glucose numbers, spent time walking and giving attention, and updated us with pictures from his visit. We are very happy to have found someone knowledgeable and caring to help give care when we are unable to, and feel that we may finally be able to travel more in the future now that we have a wonderful care-giver on our team!”

“Cera is amazing! She is kind, very responsive, and flexible. My mind was at ease knowing my cat was in the best hands while I was gone. She kept me updated with lots of adorable pictures and was happy to accommodate a couple other household tasks I asked her to do. I’m so glad to have found her and look forward to using her services in the future.”
“Sydney took care of our snake while we were out of town. She went above and beyond by watering plants and bringing in packages too. Excellent communication, we will absolutely reach out to book her again.”

“We're a repeat fan of Tiffany! Due to her always showing up in the timeframe promised and being attentive to our care list for Dalton and Lucy, we are able to enjoy our time away without worry.”
“Thomas is a fantastic pet sitter and we’re so happy to have found him! He provided great care for our two cats and spent extra time letting them get to know him. We appreciated the thoughtful updates and pictures after every visit and how he spent extra time getting to know their personalities. It was so wonderful to have peace of mind while traveling knowing that our kitties were in good hands. Highly recommend Thomas if you are looking for a pet sitter!”

“I am so happy we booked with Sarah! Not only was she timely and responsible, but she was a great fit for Piper! She sent several pictures during each visit and gave a thorough update every time. It was clear she spent lots of time time playing with Piper - she didn’t just feed her and leave. She also watered some of our plants. We are so thankful for Sarah and plan to book with her again!”

About: I haven’t cared for others pets like this before, but I would absolutely love to start. I usually respond very quickly and I find myself to be reliable! I currently have a full time job during the week while I am home for the summer. However, I am very willing to be flexible during the week to come in the mornings and/or evenings depending on my schedule, and I am VERY willing to come sit over the weekends as I will be much more flexible! However you would like, but I would love to spend time getting to know your cats so they build trust and comfortability with me. They deserved to be loved even when their parents aren’t home!
“James was super easy to communicate with and responded very quickly to messages. I felt very comfortable having him watch over our cat, and knew she was in good hands. Would recommend :)”

Caitlin watched all three of my cats while I was out of the country. She sent lovely, detailed notes, took amazing pictures, and was so so so good to my trio of kitties. She took excellent care of their equipment and did a great job communicating about their supplies so I could coordinate. I’d absolutely book her again next time I need someone to look after my cats.

Kyle was fantastic! I had a good feeling as soon as I felt his firm handshake. He is very caring, attentive and a great communicator, clear and timely. Kyle was kind and understanding about my anxiety leaving my cat, and he made sure to be in touch and send lots of photos and updates. A truly wonderful pet-sitter!

Kara was wonderful with my dog, Koa. She didn’t just stop by to let Koa out and feed her...she took extra time to give Koa a nice long walk and really paid attention to her unique personality. Kara clearly respected my dog's needs, making sure she was comfortable and cared for before leaving. She was also easy to communicate with, and it’s obvious she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
