About: I have had dogs my whole life. I have experience caring for puppies, elderly dogs and sick/disabled dogs. I can administer medication, if needed. My dogs are our family members and yours will be treated the same. I am currently working from home so your pet won’t be left home alone for very long periods. I am available during the week and weekends including holidays. I have two very sweet and mellow Cavalier King Charles Spaniels to keep your doggie company. They will have access to 2 separate fenced in areas, one with a doggie door. Your dog can be crated or not and are welcome on the furniture with our dogs. Ours sleep in an x-pen together but your dog can sleep where ever it prefers. I want them to be comfortable like it is their own home.

About: I grew up with dogs as family pets and have always considered myself a “dog person.” My family had a sheepdog, a black lab, and a Scottish sheepdog, which helped shape my lifelong love for animals. About 30 years ago, I met my wife, a true cat person through and through, and over time I happily transitioned into becoming a devoted cat lover as well. Over the years, my wife and I have shared life with three cats, even taking them on leash walks around the neighborhood—yes, I am proudly that person now. Bella, my 18-year-old super senior cat, just lost her struggle with kidney disease and we miss her dearly. My wife and I spoil our animals all the time. Our cats have always been like children to us and the bonds we build with our animals over the years have been deeply meaningful. I believe animals teach unconditional love, friendship, and have a beautiful way of offering comfort exactly when it’s needed most. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have spent years looking after neighbors’ chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, hamsters, and even a rat! After 13 years of teaching English at a nearby Early College, I recently retired from education and am excited to begin this new chapter with Rover. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. About: Hi, I am a compassionate and dependable recent retiree. My two senior dogs passed away in the past 6 months and I am without any fur-babies for the first time in decades. I am honored to spend quality time with your loved one so you can have a worry-free vacation and I can have some doggy/kitty time! (I am comfortable handling two small dogs (under 40 lbs total) or one medium dog 40-50 lbs. If over 50 lbs we can chat to determine if it would be a good fit) I am newly retired and have plenty of free time. I do have community activities out but they do not dominate my day. I spend my time focused on creativity (working on art and music projects) at home. So your pup will have company pretty much all day whether you are boarding with me or I am housesitting for you. I am very active and have a daily exercise and yoga routine and my home is a healthy and veg-friendly household. I'll gladly walk your dog to the level he/she is used to (if it's hot I will walk early morning and/or evenings). My intention is to have your baby feel loved and safe with lots of attention and play and by sticking to the routine as you dictate. I am very tidy/neat and respectful of your home. I'm happy to water your plants etc. If boarding in my home, I am here most of the time. I live in a big house with my husb and high school aged daughter and we have a fenced in yard so there is plenty of room for your pup to do his or her business and run around and chase a toy. The neighborhood is very walkable and dog-friendly. I can also take your dog in the car to favorite walks (with your permission). If boarding in my home, I request that your dog is 100% house-trained and has good social skills/manners as well as being comfortable with having their own bed to sleep in.

About: Hello! My name is Heather. I am 53 and semi-retired. I drive for Uber to fill some of my time. I have cared for animals all of my life, starting with a farm when I was little. My first dog was named Tandy and my first cat was Tasha. I have been a fur baby mamma, pretty much always, as well as a sitter for friends and family. I have experience with puppies, kittens and senior animals. I recently moved to Asheville and into a place that doesn’t allow pets. I miss having a fur baby, so it would be an honor to care for yours. I have a very open schedule. I drive for Uber part time, and other than that I like to fill my days with hiking, walking, pickleball and yoga. I would love to have a furry friend come along on my adventures! I am unable to bring pets into my rental home. I will travel to your home and stay overnight with your pet, and I will treat both with love, care and respect. I will make sure to follow feeding, potty and walking schedules closely. I will also ask about favorite games and comfort toys and routines. I will send pictures and a recap of the day. About: I have been caring for animal for around 10 years. I have dog, cat and house sat for many folks during that time. About: I've grown up with several cats. My best friend and the love of my life is a tabby cat I've had since I was 12 years old. I didn't have a dog growing up but I frequently cared for my neighbors Great Pyrenees. My first dog as an adult was a rescue coonhound mix and my current dog is a purebred Redbone Coonhound. I live in an apartment with 2 cats and a dog. I work part time at Food Lion, but I'm wanting to be a full-time pet sitter. Humans are too complicated for me. Plus it gives me the opportunity to spend more time with my dog! I live in an apartment but I'm very active. I utilize all the trails and parks in the area and I bring along my buddy Cheeto, a foster Redbone Coonhound who loves other dogs, as well as my new puppy!

About: I have been taking care of other people's animals since middle school and just love getting to know your pets! Experience with dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, and fish! Willing to take on pets with medical needs! I work 40 hours over 5 days days a week. I am typically away from the house from 9 am - 5 pm or 11 am - 7 pm. Depending on your location, I may be able to pop back to the house on my short lunch break. I am comfortable walking your animals on leashes, pushing them in strollers, using a treadmill, playing with them in the yard, or whatever else is your routine and preference!

Our pups love to explore and play in the creek, they will get lots of love and attention between us and our kiddos they will not be without snuggles and pets! We are on 7 acres of land so lots of space to explore either on leash or off leash! We have a creek that lets them cool off and plenty of toys and dog beds to provide for your pup as well as homemade treats. Lots of room for your pup to run and play or lay in the shade of the trees in the back. Your dog is part of our family and cared for as such. I am CPR certified as well as Groomer Certified. Your pups will be safe and loved while they stay! I also provide daily photos and write ups that is sent daily so you always know how they are doing.

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I have experience caring for puppies, elderly dogs and sick/disabled dogs. I can administer medication, if needed. My dogs are our family members and yours will be treated the same. I am currently working from home so your pet won’t be left home alone for very long periods. I am available during the week and weekends including holidays. I have two very sweet and mellow Cavalier King Charles Spaniels to keep your doggie company. They will have access to 2 separate fenced in areas, one with a doggie door. Your dog can be crated or not and are welcome on the furniture with our dogs. Ours sleep in an x-pen together but your dog can sleep where ever it prefers. I want them to be comfortable like it is their own home.

About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, two sassy cats, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.

About: Hi, I’m Maddy! I’ve been around animals my entire life. I grew up with dogs and cats and have cared for my own pets throughout adulthood, including German Shepherds for the past 10 years. I live with my German Shepherd and two indoor cats, who are very much my babies, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone else, and I’ll care for them with that same level of love and attention. Horses were also a huge part of my childhood. I had my own horse growing up and cared for horses from fifth grade through high school, so I’m very comfortable around larger animals. I especially love big dogs and am comfortable with large or intimidating breeds. I own my home, which sits on an acre of land with a large, fenced backyard. There are no shared walls or homes stacked around us, so dogs staying with me have a private, peaceful space with plenty of room to play, sniff, and relax. I also work for myself, which gives me a completely flexible schedule and allows me to spend a lot of time at home with your pets. My goal is for your pets to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely at home while they’re here. I’m happy to follow their normal routines, give them plenty of attention, and send photo updates so you can relax knowing your pets are happy and well cared for. I work for myself and primarily work remotely from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and am home most of the day. If I need to step out for work, it’s usually only for a few hours, and I’m never far from home. I also love being outside, so if your dog is an adventure dog, I’m always happy to have a hiking or outdoor buddy! For dogs who prefer to stay closer to home, my large, fully fenced yard gives them plenty of space to play, sniff, and enjoy some fresh air without needing to go anywhere. I’m happy to match your dog’s routine and personality, whether they want an active day of walks and outdoor adventures or a quieter day of backyard time, naps, and lounging around the house. Safety, trust, and creating a comfortable environment are my top priorities when caring for a dog. I know that being in a new home with a new person can be stressful, so I’m patient and give each dog time to settle in and get comfortable at their own pace. I also have personal experience caring for a reactive dog, so I understand the importance of paying attention to body language, respecting boundaries, and being proactive about potential triggers. If a dog is comfortable and enjoys other dogs, I’m happy to gradually introduce them to my German Shepherd, Klaus. If they prefer their own space, my home has plenty of room to keep dogs comfortably separated when needed. I’ll always follow your instructions and prioritize what makes your dog feel safest and most comfortable during their stay.
