“Alema was fantastic!! She took lots of great pictures of my kitty while we were out of town. It seemed like my cat was very happy and enjoyed playing with her, even though he can be shy around strangers. I would definitely have Alema sit for us again.”

“This is who you want to hire! When you come home from vacation and your kitties are calm and relaxed - that's all you really want. You know they were well taken care of. Thank you, Sherrie! We appreciate you. Until next time!”

“I am so happy we booked with Sarah! Not only was she timely and responsible, but she was a great fit for Piper! She sent several pictures during each visit and gave a thorough update every time. It was clear she spent lots of time time playing with Piper - she didn’t just feed her and leave. She also watered some of our plants. We are so thankful for Sarah and plan to book with her again!”

“Alex was great!! This was my first time booking a sitter through Rover and I was a little nervous but he went above and beyond for me and the kitties. Everyday he sent lots of great photos and detailed summaries of each visit. Two of my kitties are very shy but my very sociable son absolutely loves Alex. He told me his vibes are good lol. The whole time Alex was very communicative and overall really great. I’m sad I’m moving away soon or else I would totally book Alex again & again. I would recommend him to anybody that needs a pet sitter, you can really tell just how much he loves animals. Thank you Alex!”

“Elizabeth took great care of our cats while we were away. While they’re too shy for socializing, she ensured that their food, water, and litter boxes were maintained. We would recommend Elizabeth and schedule with her again!”

About: Hello! My name is Lindsey. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder, and have previously worked with a professional pet sitting company here in Asheville. Before then, I did a combination of pet-sitting and nannying for local families and pet-sitting while attending college. I am Pet CPR/First-Aid Certified, and have experience in medication administration including injecting insulin and subcutaneous fluids, applying topical treatment, and pill administration. I have worked with a variety of animals including cats and dogs, reptiles such as snakes and geckos, parrots, chickens, and have experience with a variety of other farm animals. I am comfortable with animals at any age, from young puppies and kittens to seniors. In my free time, I enjoy staying active and being outside. I am an avid runner on both the trail and the road, and also enjoy hiking and yoga. I love discovering new breweries and parks in the area to read and enjoy the sunshine. I have two cats of my own named Linus and Lucy, who I found as kittens in a barn in Wisconsin in 2020! I am excited to meet you and your pets, and look forward to our time together! I currently work as a gardener at Biltmore Estate, and so am free on weekends and on weekdays after 4 pm! My schedule is pretty consistent, but I do work one weekend every 8 weeks or so and have the following Monday/Tuesday off. I am comfortable with cameras in home, and love taking pictures of your pets to share! On walks, I am comfortable using a variety of leash lengths and stay vigilant to avoid any triggers that may come up on walks, such as other dogs, cars, etc. I am comfortable and willing to adapt to the way you care for and walk your pet, so the meet and greet is a great opportunity to get to know your pet's care needs. I carry treats of my own, but always check in on allergies or diet first before giving treats out! I would consider myself strong and physically fit, so I can keep up with energetic and strong dogs, and am skilled at working with dogs that pull.

“Carolyn was so great with our senior cat! Charlie is very stand offish with new people but he interacted with her! It sounds small but its a big accomplishment lol. He took his pills both days and the communication was excellent. Everything was clean when we got back too. Definitely will ask Carolyn to care for Charlie again!”
Shiloh pet parents share their Rover experiences
Jamie is fantastic! She’s punctual, thoughtful, understanding and so very helpful. In town temporarily and she sat for my girls for an all day event I had in another town. She was wonderful with them, even my diaper wearing senior pup. Her experience in caregiving and love of animals shows, it beams from her. Her energy is brightening and lightening. Highly recommend.

David did an excellent job caring for my senior cat! He dropped by twice a day for a week to feed my kitty, scoop litter, and give him some playtime and affection. My cat occasionally throws up a hairball, and this unfortunately happened on my couch the first night I was away. David cleaned up the mess as best he could, which made it a lot easier to get my couch slipcovers clean when I got home. He also took out my trash to the basement when it was getting full and brought in my mail. David was very communicative, sending photos and a little update with each check-in. David’s reliable and compassionate care for my cat gave me peace of mind, allowing me to enjoy my vacation! I would highly recommend David as a cat sitter!

I can’t recommend Alex enough!! He was communicative, kind, took so many great photos of our cats during every drop in visit and we appreciated the flexibility when our travel plans were delayed. He went above and beyond and anyone would be lucky to have him watching their fur babies 💖

Maria is awesome! Highest possible recommendation. She is new to Rover but she has been house sitting for us for years and is the best house sitter we've ever had! Not only is Maria a superb animal caretaker and house sitter, she is who you want taking care of your house if something goes wrong. Over the years she has house sat for us, she's delt with plumbing, electrical and AC issues that have popped up while we are traveling. She handled all of them with the utmost care and professionalism. Again, we give Maria our highest recommendation for all pet services!

Our dogs love Elizabeth! For our first experience, we scheduled her for two one-hour drop-ins. She played with our babies, fed them, and even indulged them in their favorite summertime hobby: the kiddie pool. She sent texts with pictures and videos of our happy dogs, and went above and beyond drying them off and putting the towels on the washing machine. We came home that evening to happy tired dogs. We’ll definitely be asking her back. Thank you, Elizabeth!
