About: I'm that go to friend that everyone always asks to love on their pets while they are busy or out of town. I've had all sorts of pets in my life too. No requests to weird. I love to send selfies of your furbabies so you know they are safe and happy. I live in west Asheville and am able to travel to close towns. I have taken care of the special needs of animals I cared for. Pills and special food is all good. I do require a meet up drop in visit before we book a stay. I want to meet you and your pet in their own home and learn about their particular needs. This is so we both feel that your fur baby is being cared for the way they are used to. Less stress for pets and pet parents this way. I do work outside of pet sitting, but still have free time for pets. Im available for overnight stays as well. I will treat your home as I would my own. And yes I can bring in the mail(or packages) for you too. I appreciate written care instructions. That way if there is ever an emergency I can take the best possible care of your pet in a timely manner. LGBTQ+ friendly (obviously lol)

Kimberly has always put my mind at ease when we have to go away. This most recent time was the first time we had gone away since one of our dog's had passed, and I was very nervous about leaving our other dog. Allison is amazing with my dog, Peaches! She is always on time, communicates well, and sends update pictures from their walks, including the route so I can see how far they went! I’m always at ease knowing Allison will be checking in on Peaches while I’m working long shifts. I highly recommend her!
Absolutely outstanding. Can't recommend Kate highly enough. She takes kitty care to a whole new level. We felt lucky to have Kate take care of our cat. She thinks of everything, lots of toys, fun videos and plenty of pictures. You just don't worry at all about your pet. I came home to a really happy cat.
We had such a wonderful experience with Kylie! She took amazing care of our dog while we were away and gave us complete peace of mind. She kept us updated with messages and photos, and it was so clear that our dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. She was reliable, kind, and treated our dog like one of her own. We will absolutely book with Kylie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to watch their pets!
Cant say enough about Ty and Ingrid. Two lovely humans who helped us out big time with some unusual requests that allowed us to have our Poppy dog in our wedding, and let us enjoy our wedding weekend events while knowing she was in great hands. They're total pros and we would not hesitate to book again ( in fact we plan to if they'll let us! :P). They could charge 3x more and you'd still be getting a bargain.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
