About: I'm no stranger to high-need dogs! I had a Chihuahua who, bless his heart, was a mess. He was no more than 6lbs, and had heart, dental, and bone issues. He always rated my service to him highly, and he taught me a lot for which I'm grateful. In his memory, and to keep our other senior dog, Buddy, company, we adopted a chocolate labrador named Roxanne, who is blind. Pets like me because I am empathetic and caring. I understand why they might be acting the way that they act, that most of the time, it's just fear, and with that knowledge, I am able to approach the situation with confidence and tact. Or maybe they're just super excitable! I am a calming presence who knows how to party when the occassion's right. I work part-time and study, which gives me a lot of freedom for extracurriculars (pet sitting!). I am completely free on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Your house, your rules! I will follow all of your normal houseguest rules while also making your pet feel like they're the ones writing my checks. Safe, comfortable medication adminstration? Done. Clean up inside or outside the house? Done. Stain clean up before it sets? Absolutely. I will go the extra mile to make it seem like time froze while you were gone.

Our cat loves her, she’s communicative, always arrives on time, and does little things around the house she doesn’t have to do, like checking the mail or sweeping the floor around the litter box—without being asked. We will always book with Susan when she’s available during our trips.”

“I highly recommend Ana! I’m new to the area and needed someone I could trust to care for my shy cat, Littles, while I was out of state for nine days. He was still adjusting to our recent move and had been stressed by water intrusion issues and all the maintenance visits that followed. Ana was quick to respond, easy to communicate with, and set up a meet-and-greet right away. Littles spent most of that first visit hiding behind the couch, but she was patient and determined to win him over. She sent daily photos and updates, and even checked my apartment for water leaks during heavy rain, which gave me so much peace of mind. Within a few days, Littles was curled up in Ana’s lap enjoying all the pets. When I got home, he was relaxed, eating well, and clearly had been well cared for. I’ll definitely be booking Ana again for my September trip and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, dependable pet sitter.”

About: I have over 20 years of experience walking, sitting and caring for dogs. I know how hard it is to leave your fur child in the hands of a stranger and I treat every animal as if it were my own. You can enjoy peace of mind knowing your dog is in good hands and receiving all the love, care, and attention they deserve. I also work from home so I give lots of attention and pets throughout the day to your pups. I grew on a small farm and have a natural ability to understand animals. I have trained my own dog and assisted in training a boarder collie puppy my parents owned. I feel comfortable sitting/walking dogs of various sizes and breeds. I've also had a cat growing up and have taken care of neighbors cats for extended periods of time. I live a healthy and active style and would love to take your dog on hikes or runs around the area while you are away. If they are more of a couch potato I am also happy to snuggle up on the couch with them equally. I work remote so would be available on weekdays to take our pet out frequently. I am free on weekends to spend all of my time with them as well! I don't have a yard but am close to many outdoor places and live an active lifestyle. My home is comfortable and safe for pets.

About: Animals have always brought a sense of peace and joy into my life, and I genuinely love every opportunity to care for them. Whether it’s going on walks, playing with their favorite toy, relaxing on the couch for cuddles, or spending time at the dog park, I enjoy making pets feel happy, safe, and loved. Animals have such a special ability to brighten someone’s day, and I love being able to give that same comfort and care back to them. I’ve been caring for animals since I was young. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and spend quality time with their pets over the years. Growing up, I had 4 Yorkies and as an adult, I also cared for two American Bulldogs, one of whom suffered from severe allergies, so I understand how important it is to be attentive to food sensitivities, environmental triggers, and each pet’s individual needs. I also have experience administering medications, including pills, liquid medications, pill poppers, and oral syringes. My cat Willow, was a sweetheart and required both pill and liquid medications, which gave me even more hands-on experience with patient, gentle care. I know how hard it can be finding someone you trust to take care of your sweet furry babies. I treat every pet as if they were my own and aim to create a safe, comforting, and loving environment while you’re away. If it is your first time booking through Rover, you can use promo code GRETAU58017 to receive $20 off your first service :D ** I specialize in home care that allows pets to remain out of crates. Because of this, I’m not the best fit for bookings that require crate use as part of the routine*** I work remotely and have the flexibility to come to your home for over nights, check ins and walks. ** I specialize in home care that allows pets to remain out of crates. Because of this, I’m not the best fit for bookings that require crate use as part of the routine*** When caring for pets at a clients home I am very communicative and respectful of your home and pets. I will always follow the instructions left by the owner and ask questions if I need clarification on anything. I want to give you peace of mind while you are away. I am happy to bring in the mail or water any house plants while you’re away as well.

About: Between us, we have always had an animal in our lives - from ferrets and horses to cats and dogs. Pets simply make life better and there’s no better way to thank them than to shower them with love and affection. Your fur baby is guaranteed to be excited when they need to stay with us. Nichole was a professional dog walker in Boston before moving to Asheville, so she has experience with all sizes and temperaments. Jackson is certified in American Service Pet training as well, so you can rest assured they are in good, capable hands during their stay. We both work outside of the home - Jackson as a maintenance worker and Nichole as a doctor - so our fur babies are usually lounging inside or in our fenced in yard or inside for 4-5 hours per day. Although we love all pets, please don’t book with us if your animal needs constant supervision. On the weekends, we love spending time out in nature, especially around bodies of water and would love to safely bring your pet along. When you trust us to watch your animals, we’ll follow whatever rules you’d like. They can run around in our fenced in yard or stay inside. We have a large crate as well if your animal prefers that. We have a Bernedoodle that loves playing with new friends, as long as they are not aggressive. We have two indoor cats that love playing with our dog, but would also not do well with an aggressive or prey-driven dog. We love to train dogs as well and are happy reinforce the work you are doing while they stay with us.

“Thomas was AWESOME with my cat!!! Cypress warmed up quicker to Thomas than any other sitter I’ve had. Like most cats, sometimes Cypress wants love and sometimes to play. Thomas let Cypress set the tone for the visit; which tells me Thomas knows not to force anything and understands cat behavior very well. Thomas sent lots of photos and very detailed notes! Thankfully, I came home to a happy (and not anxious) cat!!”

About: Hi! I’m Jen, a lifelong animal lover and dog owner who knows how important it is to have someone you genuinely trust caring for your pet. I have an Australian Shepherd of my own, so I’m very comfortable with energetic, intelligent dogs who need plenty of exercise, attention, and enrichment! I’m an Occupational Therapist and have spent years working in healthcare, so being dependable, patient, attentive, and responsible is a huge part of who I am. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and routines, and I’ll always treat your pet and home with the same care I’d want someone to give mine. I’m very active and love walking, hiking, and spending time outdoors, so I’m happy to provide anything from a quick potty break to a long walk for dogs who need to burn some energy. I also offer drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, medication as instructed, and plenty of attention and cuddles for pets who prefer a more relaxed visit. As a dog owner who has used pet sitters myself, I know how much peace of mind updates can provide. I’m happy to send photos and updates during visits so you know exactly how your pet is doing. Whether your dog wants to walk three miles, play fetch until my arm falls off, or just have someone hang out with them on the couch, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. 🐾 One thing you can count on: I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own. I currently work full time but am available both weekends anytime and during the week after 3 pm. I do make every effort to spend as much time as possible caring and attending to your furry friend! I make sure to ensure the pets have water at all times, a clean environment, and a safe environment free from any hazards. I personally take my dog’s collar off if he is in his crate but would check with clients if they prefer that while I am gone. I make sure they get enough exercise and play time (and snuggles!)

I wish I could give Sandra more than 5 stars. She took such great care of my sweet baby cat and loved on her with the same attention as I do. She provided excellent updates and stayed for the entirety of the time she was booked for (I have not had that same experience with a few other Rovers). I will absolutely book Sandra again for my pet-sitting needs in the future.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Biltmore Forest

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost of Pet Sitting in Biltmore Forest is $17 per visit as of November 2026. Most bookings cost between $16 and $34 per visit. On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. As long as your booking dates and pet profiles are accurate, the price shown before you confirm is the total, including any booking fee.

As of November 2026, there are 1,108 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Biltmore Forest. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Biltmore Forest. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
