Hi! My name is Sydney. I'm 27 years old and a doctoral student. My program is online, so I have total flexibility and have nowhere else to be than with your pet! I’ve lived with five cats and a dog but currently have no pets. I have also had a cockatiel for 17 years (she lives with my grandfather now)! In college, I worked for a pet sitting business, Jamie's Pet Sitting, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. I worked for Jamie from February of 2017 to May of 2019. I worked with all kinds of animals, from birds to horses to dogs and cats, and pets of all sizes (even dogs bigger than me). I've worked for clients with just one pet and I've worked for clients with 15 indoor pets. I would provide walks (for cats and dogs), drop-in visits, and overnight house/pet sitting. I would also administer various oral medications for dogs and cats and insulin injections for pets with diabetes. A lot of our clients were senior dogs and dogs with chronic illnesses or physical disabilities. I've also worked with a lot of shy, timid, and aggressive animals (especially dogs). In those situations, I know what to do and what not to do, and I've been told my calm demeanor is perfect for animals like that. If your pet falls into any of those categories, I will still be comfortable and able to give them the care they need! And I love to exercise, so I am more than willing to get play and get your pets active! I absolutely loved my time at that job, and those animals will always have a special place in my heart. I'm reliable and dependent. I'll always be on time. And I know that all pets are different and unique, so I'm here to provide whatever your pet needs!
