“I adopted my dog fairly recently so I was nervous about leaving her with someone else for the weekend, but Megan was extremely attentive and made me feel comfortable on day 1! She was wonderful about providing updates and asking about details I hadn't even considered. I have a cat as well and I could tell they were both very fond of her by the end of the weekend. I would definitely recommend Megan to anybody looking for a petsitter.”

“Lilie was amazing! She sent pictures of Welsey and went over the top with comminication. 10/10 would recommend and will be reaching out to her again in the furture.”

“James was lovely! He was attentive, reliable, and made sure to send daily updates and photos while we were away. We will definitely be reaching out again in the future!”

“Ines did drop in visits with our new adult dog, Ducky, who was working on potty training. And also our other dog, Fievel. She followed the instructions on how to take both of our dogs out to potty in a way that was safe for the two of them! She gave detailed follow ups after each drop in”

“James was great with my wild boys. I needed someone last min and he was on it! He's attentive, communicative, warm and put my dogs at ease. Glad to have found him and will use his services again.”

About: I routinely sit for friend's dogs and cats, and grew up around dogs so am very comfortable with many breeds and personalities. Especially love senior pups :) Local to Asheville, but willing to travel to surrounding counties. I am currently in graduate school, so I have a schedule that allows me to care for your pet during most weekdays as well as weekends. A very important thing before I start sitting a new animal is to make sure that I know what vocal/gesture commands, house rules, or personal needs your pet is accustomed to. This makes it a more seamless experience for both the humans and the animal.
“I couldn’t be happier with Natasha and how well she cared for our cats and sugar glider. She is very attentive, meticulous and our cats love her calming energy. So thankful to have found someone so kind and responsible that we can trust while we are away. Will definitely rebook with her again!”

About: I have always grown up around animals and have learned the responsibility it takes to care for them. My little Yorkie of 16 years passed a few months ago and it helps to be around other animals since I miss him so much! I enjoy being outside and will be ready to take your dog for a walk or play fetch in the backyard. Pets are such special members of a family and your mind can be at ease knowing a responsible pet-sitter will be there to give them the care they need while you are away. I am open to special care requests to ensure your dog’s comfort. If there is a certain trail or park your dog enjoys going to then I’d love to take them there! I currently work part time! So your pet will never be alone for more than 5 hours at a time. If necessary I can typically leave mid shift to check on your pet during my lunch. I like to snuggle with pets and always allow them on furniture unless you explicitly don’t allow it. If I have to leave to run an errand for a few hours, I typically put on “dog tv” for anxious pets.
About: I am new to Asheville, and I’m excited to spend my days exploring the area with your pup by my side! Since my husband works during the day, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your dog the one-on-one attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve; not just a quick visit. I’m also looking forward to learning about different breeds as my husband and I prepare for dog ownership ourselves, so you can trust that I’ll care for your dog with genuine enthusiasm, patience, and lots of love :) I relocated with my husband for his job, so my hours are pretty open with notice for the foreseeable future! I enjoy hiking and walking, so i am happy to combine those activities with taking your pet along :) Your dog will enjoy a calm, comfortable home in West Asheville with plenty of space to relax and receive individualized attention. I typically opt for taking dog walks in parks or hiking trails instead of my neighborhood. Because I’m home during the day, your pup won’t be left alone for long and will receive lots of companionship, play, potty breaks, and affection throughout their stay. I treat every dog like they’re my own, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and right at home.

“Ashley is a wonderful sitter and I’m so glad I found her! Ashley stops by to give my pup some cuddles, a walk, and play time while I’m away at work, and he loves when she comes over. I sometimes need to change the time of her visit last minute due to my job, and she is always flexible to meet my needs. I really appreciate how she always gives me a thorough report with lots of pictures! I fully trust Ashley to take good care of my dog, and I’m glad I found such a thoughtful and caring sitter!”

About: I’m an animal lover who’s taken care of pets for over 20 years! Our family has two sweet dogs and two cats. I’m a freelance filmmaker and also teach, but have free time on my hands that I’d love to fill with fresh air, exercise and playtime with your pets! I have full availability currently and am accepting both one-time and regular clients. Looking for new clients, and would love to be a part of your pet care team! I’m safety oriented and always want to ensure your pets feels safe and loved. I always double check that doors and gates are secured before I leave, and dogs are always leashed on walks, etc. I’m tall and strong and can handle even the most rambunctious, oversized breed.
About: Professional and passionate about providing kind attentive care for your best friend. I am home most of the day and take this responsibility as a privilege. This means a lot of love and it has served me well as a sitter. I have been on Rover for 6 years and had been a pet sitter for nearly 30. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and be a part of your care Journey. I do not have any pets currently and can accommodate doggos who do better as only animal in the home. I generally host only one dog a to give full spectrum attention but occasionally may have a second friendly dog. I prefer drop-offs 9 AM onward, but am flexible. I have a remote job and i'm home most of the day every day with occasional outings. My priority is your best friend at all times. I live in a Two story three bedroom house close to downtown and just minutes from the Biltmore houseattraction. I have a large backyard partially fenced. There are many fun places to explore. I prefer the owner to bring a crate if their dog is used to that or has any anxiuous tendencies when left alone so that they are Safe but not required. I have a dog bed and many bowls. I am available for house sitting in the Wilmington North Carolina area particularly over the holidays.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Shiloh
Jamie is fantastic! She’s punctual, thoughtful, understanding and so very helpful. In town temporarily and she sat for my girls for an all day event I had in another town. She was wonderful with them, even my diaper wearing senior pup. Her experience in caregiving and love of animals shows, it beams from her. Her energy is brightening and lightening. Highly recommend.

Carolyn was amazing with my animals. I appreciated her notes with them and her pictures. She went above and beyond with my cat making sure his litter was clean and making sure my dog got walked as much as possible. She made it easier for me to be away from them and I would recommend her to anyone who needs someone to watch their fur babies.

Maria is awesome! Highest possible recommendation. She is new to Rover but she has been house sitting for us for years and is the best house sitter we've ever had! Not only is Maria a superb animal caretaker and house sitter, she is who you want taking care of your house if something goes wrong. Over the years she has house sat for us, she's delt with plumbing, electrical and AC issues that have popped up while we are traveling. She handled all of them with the utmost care and professionalism. Again, we give Maria our highest recommendation for all pet services!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Shiloh with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
