About: Ive owned dogs since a child..Basset Hound. Doberman, Pugs (I used to foster pugs in Dallas and adopted 4 at one point), Boston Terrier, Mixed breeds and love them all. Ive currently got a Beagle mix that I adopted 12 yrs ago "Jaz". Pet sitting has mostly been friends pets and since I'm new to the area, looking to get out of Corporate and thought this would be great time to spend with fur babies. I’m currently building an art-focused business and have a flexible schedule that works well for house sitting and pet care. I’m available for early morning walks and feedings, as well as afternoon check-ins, playtime and walks. I enjoy creating a steady routine that keeps your pet happy and comfortable throughout the day. I care for pets in their own home so they can stay relaxed in a familiar space. I keep dogs on leash anytime we are outside unless we are in a securely fenced yard or an approved off-leash area. I follow your rules around food and only give their regular meals and treats. My priority is keeping your pet safe, comfortable and happy.

“Alex was amazing with our girl! We have a senior, diabetic dog who needs quite a few supplements and medication, as well as daily timed feedings and insulin injections. It’s is very hard to find someone who has experience with diabetic dogs, but Alex had experience and was more than willing to go the extra mile to keep her safe and healthy while we were gone. He had excellent communication and always asked questions about anything he was unsure of, which made me feel very confident in his ability to take care of our senior. He always let us know how she did at each meal, her blood glucose numbers, spent time walking and giving attention, and updated us with pictures from his visit. We are very happy to have found someone knowledgeable and caring to help give care when we are unable to, and feel that we may finally be able to travel more in the future now that we have a wonderful care-giver on our team!”

“Carolyn did a great job with our six kitties including our girl who needs regular medicine. She even managed to get the little scaredy cat to come out and say hi which rarely happens. Everything was well maintained and well kept with litter boxes, bowls and foods. Carolyn kept all our fur babies entertained and loved in our absence and kept our home safe and secure.”

“From our meet & greet, we instantly knew Danae would be a great fit for our senior kitty. She went above and beyond, followed all directions, successfully administered multiple medications, and was communicative. We loved our photos and visit details. My shy senior cat adored her, running to greet her for every visit. Our home was in good hands. We’d have her pet sit again in a heartbeat.”

About: Hello! I’m a nurse pursuing a graduate degree and pet and house sitting on the side. I’ve had cats & dogs my whole life, and have cared for little reptile pets as well! I have experience walking, running and playing with dogs of all sizes and petsitting durations from an overnight to one month at a time with both dogs and cats. No dogs (or cats!) are too big or too small. I enjoy helping pets get outside and active, or doting on them at home. I’m comfortable with puppies and elderly dogs and cats, and can run with your more energetic pups to get their yayas out! My schedule is very flexible and I take pet care seriously - I want you to be worry-free while you’re on vacation or busy at work. I have three fully remote weekdays per week and one half remote day, so plenty of quality time to spend with your pup. I’m available for scheduled weekly walks, one-off check-in’s and walks, as well as for overnight stays and longer pet sitting periods. I’m currently a full-time student with lots of lunch break time and three fully remote days a week to tend to pups & cats! I’m happy to help with short or long at home care while you’re traveling, or to set up a weekly walking (or running) schedule with your dogs. Reach out and we can discuss what works best! I offer pet sitting in your pets’ home spaces, and am happy to adapt to specific needs while at your home. I’m an early-to-bed and early-to-rise person, so I’ll be able to spend plenty of time with your pets and help them get active before I head anywhere for a few hours! I can provide feeding and medication administration, and have experience with pills, creams, dressing changes and insulin injections for pets.
About: I always seek to understand and meet a pet’s individual needs and schedule. I’ve cared for cats and dogs of all sizes. I’ve done scheduled overnight and drop in care for a variety of durations. I work part time and am studying to test for the engineering fundamentals exam. Between those two, I have plenty of time to give your pet the attention and care it needs! I always abide by the owners instructions for care, and will constantly keep an eye on a pets body language to ensure they aren’t stressed or exhausted.

“Jenna was great! I was moving most of the day and needed someone to come check on my babies. She was so responsive and her recap of the visit was detailed (and super funny). I would definitely recommend her to other pet parents!”

“Lilie was amazing! She sent pictures of Welsey and went over the top with comminication. 10/10 would recommend and will be reaching out to her again in the furture.”

About: While I have had dogs previously, I also worked as a kennel tech at a boarding facility, where I was in charge of caring for, administering medication, feeding, and playing with dogs and cats! I have experience with all breeds of dogs, as well as seniors and puppies alike! I am a college student so I do have class every day, but my schedule varies by day so just ask! I am available after 5 pm every day, and typically between 11-3pm as well! I can also do early mornings before 9 am. With my experience, I know how to handle cats and dogs very well. I will do absolutely everything I can to ensure your pets safety, and I will immediately reach out in case of an emergency.

I’m experienced with overnights, special needs, and medication, and I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I keep owners updated while they’re away, and I pride myself on reading animals’ cues—most feel at ease with me after just a few visits. I’m a part time student and employee who sets her own schedule so no worries on fitting your baby into my week!! There is always room 🤗 I care for pets at Your home! I make sure to find their favorite toys and spots to play and keep them safe while watching them outside.
“Joanna is such a phenomenal sitter! She provides excellent care while I’m away, with great updates and attentive service. HIGHLY recommend her for any of your pet sitting needs.”

“James was a pleasure to work with! From a meet and greet before his first time sitting to check-ins with us at each visit, we loved having him taking care of our kitties. He was reliable, punctual, communicative, and we could tell he loved our babies as much as we do. Everything looked just as we left it when we returned and the cats hardly seemed to notice we were gone. Thank you, James!”

“Alema was fantastic!! She took lots of great pictures of my kitty while we were out of town. It seemed like my cat was very happy and enjoyed playing with her, even though he can be shy around strangers. I would definitely have Alema sit for us again.”

About: I have a caring, outgoing, and patient personality that dogs are attracted to. I've always had a love for dogs and love to meet new furry friends any chance I can! Since my one and only dog passed away several years ago, my heart has been longing for a new dog. Dogs give me such happiness and I enjoy the happiness they bring to others as well. I also have a competitive running background of 12+ years so there will be no trouble with walking, running, or doing any sort of fun exercise with your furry friend! I'm so excited to help assist with anything your dog may need, even if its just some new company! I am currently working part time so my availability is pretty open. Please feel free to message me to see if I would be a great fit. I care for pets in your home by going to multiple walks per day, giving your pup the attention he/she deserves, and following any directions needed to best meet the needs of your pup.
About: I have taken care of pets my whole life. With friends, family, and working at Petsmart as a pet groomer and in the boarding facilities. I have a dog and cat of my own. I am at home and available on full days as I work as an online therapist. Because I create my own schedule this allows me flexibility to care for the dogs that I am boarding or sitting. When visiting your space I am respectful and caring of your space. I am mindful of your pet’s needs and will engage in your requests to the best of my ability. My home is well maintained and regularly cleaned. We have a large patio and play yard. We might have multiple dogs at a time therefore we ask that your dog/s are fully vaccinated. If your dog does not play well with others then let us know so that we can make sure to keep them separate from the others.
“We are so grateful to Lisa for taking care of JoJo Miles and keeping him company when we go out of town! Knowing his friend will be there to check on him makes travel less stressful.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Asheville
Becky was wonderful to work with! She showed up right on time for the meet and greet with our dog and was very knowledgeable about administering medications. Everything went like clockwork for the appointment and knowing that she was taking care of our pup allowed us to enjoy our evening out. I will not hesitate to contact her again the next time we need help.

Savannah came weekly to let my dog Miller out during the day while I was working in town the last few months. She always sent lots of photos and updates on how each visit went. Miller loved her visits every time, running around playing fetch with his favorite ball! Savannah had great communication and was able to do a few last minute requests when I picked up a shift. We really appreciated having her!

Maya took such good care of our dog while we were away. She was thorough in reading through all the care instructions I sent over and followed everything to a t. She sent plenty of pictures & provided regular updates. Our dog loved her & seemed to enjoy all her visits! We will definitely hire Maya again!

Carolyn was amazing with my animals. I appreciated her notes with them and her pictures. She went above and beyond with my cat making sure his litter was clean and making sure my dog got walked as much as possible. She made it easier for me to be away from them and I would recommend her to anyone who needs someone to watch their fur babies.

Emily always does SUCH a great job with Vader. He loves when she comes to check on him and it makes the short term separation a little easier for me knowing how comfortable he is with her. She is extremely respectful of my expectations and treats my home and Vader with the utmost care. Added bonus, she gets the greatest action shots of Vaders energy and happiness.

Maria is awesome! Highest possible recommendation. She is new to Rover but she has been house sitting for us for years and is the best house sitter we've ever had! Not only is Maria a superb animal caretaker and house sitter, she is who you want taking care of your house if something goes wrong. Over the years she has house sat for us, she's delt with plumbing, electrical and AC issues that have popped up while we are traveling. She handled all of them with the utmost care and professionalism. Again, we give Maria our highest recommendation for all pet services!

Paris has been walkingy dog several times a week for over a month. My dog Asher absolutely adores Paris! He seems to know when Paris is on the way to my house. Asher also boarded once at Paris' home when I had a brief emergency hospitalzation. Asher was well cared for. I can highly recommend Paris.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
