Hi, I'm Meredith and would love the opportunity to care for your pets! Your pets’ happiness and well-being are always my top priority. I love spending time with animals—whether that’s going for walks, playing, or just keeping them company so they feel safe and loved while you’re away. I grew up with both cats and dogs and have cared for many of my own, so I understand the attention and consistency pets need. After 20 years as a high school English teacher, I have recently stepped into a new season that gives me more flexibility and time to pursue my creative passions and spend more time with my kids, who are with me on the weekends. My 9-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter are bright, energetic, and compassionate animal lovers. (Objectively speaking, their teachers, grandparents, and parents of their friends consistently rave that they are wonderful kids and wonderfully behaved.) I don’t smoke, drink, vape, or do any drugs, and I take every petsitting commitment seriously. Rest assured that your home will be treated with respect and well cared for, and your pets will be treated like family. Also, I am one who loves to cozy up and stay close to your home, giving your furry loved ones TLC as much as possible when I'm there. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to connect! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining the routines and environment your pet already knows and loves. I follow all instructions closely, whether that means administering medications, preparing special meals, sticking to walk schedules, or providing quiet companionship. I aim to create a calm, consistent atmosphere that feels safe and nurturing, so your pet can relax while you're away. Also, I treat your home with the same respect and care I would my own. I’m clean, organized, and attentive to details, and I always communicate clearly throughout the sit to keep you informed and at ease. If my well-behaved, animal-loving children (ages 8 and 11) accompany me, it’s only with prior agreement, and they are gentle, respectful, and supervised at all times. Above all, I care for each animal as if they were my own, with patience, love, and a genuine commitment to their well-being.

Meredith stepped in for us on very short notice, which was a lifesaver. She was very professional and asked lots of good questions when she met our cat. I appreciated the daily pictures and videos. I would definitely use her again.
Meredith always communicates her arrival, responds quickly and shares information about Finn’s day. She is wonderful to work with. Finn loves her and is always so happy when we get home. We highly recommend Meredith
Meredith was wonderful with Wallaby during our first multi-day trip away from him. Wallaby can be an anxious pup and sometimes takes time to warm up to new people, but he connected with Meredith quickly. Within the first day, he was comfortable enough for belly rubs and sleeping peacefully. She sent frequent updates, photos, and videos throughout the week, which was incredibly reassuring while we were away. She handled his routine well, including his walks and medications, and was thoughtful about keeping him comfortable. She was also flexible and adjusted her plans so Wallaby wouldn’t have to spend extra time alone. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog, and it was clear he had been well cared for. We would absolutely book with Meredith again and highly recommend her.
Great first drop-in visit with Meredith ahead of our upcoming house sit. She was attentive, asked thoughtful questions about Wallaby’s routine, and clearly cares about animals. Since Wallaby takes a little time to warm up to new people, this visit gave them a great opportunity to get to know each other. It was a really positive first step, and we’re looking forward to the upcoming stay!

Schedule
Pet care is a natural, joyful part of my everyday rhythm. As a longtime teacher and mom, I’m used to creating routines that are structured yet flexible, making it easy to adapt to the unique needs of each pet and home. Whether it’s morning walks, medication schedules, mealtime routines, or play and snuggle time, I build my days around ensuring animals feel safe, loved, and cared for. Because I’m in a season of life where I have more flexibility, I’m able to be fully present with the pets I care for and enjoy giving them plenty of attention, consistency, and calm companionship throughout the day. It’s more than just a task in my routine; it’s a grounding and fulfilling part of my life that I genuinely enjoy.
