About: I’ve been sitting dogs at my Florida home for many years. I moved to Asheville two years ago for work and now I’m mostly retired. I live in North Asheville in a small apartment and available to house and pet sit. Having boarded dogs in my own house for many years you can bet I will give your home utmost respect and your pets the best care and companionship. I’m mostly looking for one week plus sitting jobs, give or take. Walk dogs. Play with the dogs and cats and keep them content. And hang out on watch lots of TV together. Since I’m mostly retired I have lots of free time to spend with the pets. All instructions by owner for their pet care will be closely followed and respected. I’m sensitive about pets food needs and won’t feed them human food or let them up on the furniture if not allowed. Cat litter boxes will be cleaned daily. Longer stays will include brushing and baths for the dogs.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was five years old. I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.

About: I have taken care of dogs for around 4 years. Friends, family and roommates have relied on me to walk, feed and care for their animals. I work from home and travel at least once a month for my job. I create my own schedule so I can be very flexible I have a large yard for your dog to run around and play as well as one dog of my own who is very friendly. My neighborhood is very walkable, I’m within walking distance of Lake Louise Park & I’m close by to other dog-friendly parks as well. There’s plenty of room if your dog needs to be crated indoors as well.

About: I’ve owned and cared for animals since I was a small child. We’ve had everything from parrots, chickens and fish to dogs cats and snakes. I regularly house sit and pet sit for friends and family. I also have cared for animals every day at the Brevard Zoo and have cared for others at previous jobs such as the St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park, the May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and the Avian Conservation Center: Center for Birds of Prey. About: I have had a multitude of animals since I was young, which has led to many years of experience. I currently have a pet cat and dog. I’m a very active person and love going out in nature for walks and requests for longer walks beyond the 30 minute allotment are definitely welcome! I would love to build a strong relationship with the pets and owners I interact with to help build my experience even more and make your pets comfortable with a familiar face. I have a dog of my own that I walk and I’m a stay at home mom, which allows my schedule to be relatively open. In my clients home I will make sure the pet’s needs are met 100%. This includes making sure they have plenty of water, food and have had an adequate potty break. I will also play with the pet as long as their owner is okay with that.

About: I cared for family dogs, cats & horses through childhood & my 20s. Here in Asheville, I've had two dogs (one at a time) for 13 years. I am attuned to safety & health first; then I focus on play/walking to provide fun & exercise for emotional, mental & physical stimulation. In addition to having food, water, shelter & a comfortable temperature, all pets need to feel safe, loved & respected. I am gentle, thorough, attentive, & caring, & I follow all instructions carefully. I have worked with puppies through senior dogs as well as my flighty, 52-lb. 6-yr-old reactive Pit Bull/Cane Corso rescue, whom I walk daily & hike with weekly. I've used the Behavior Adjustment & Doggy Dan training systems with this sweet companion, who had been abused & neglected before I adopted her at 14 months. I have done drop-in visits for friends for 10 yrs. & can give medications orally, in ears & as injections. Before a first service, I do a meet & greet to get to know you & your furry friend & learn about how your canine relates to people, other dogs, cats, squirrels & rabbits. Activiies include playing fetch, tug of war, food puzzles & your pup's favorites. I'm available for drop-ins and dog walking between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Also I'm free between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. I am a fulltime pet care giver. At this time, I do not stay overnight with pets in my home or my clients' homes. Instead, I do 30-minute drop-in visits and 30-minute walks in clients' neighborhoods.

About: I have worked in the animal industry for 10 years and have done pet sitting for over 17 years. I have trained, groomed, and worked in the animal health field. In Asheville, I worked at one of the busiest animal hospitals and dealt with complicated cases and learned way more than I could imagine. I'm comfortable with administering proper medications and adhering to the behavior/special needs of any dog. I treat every dog as if they are my own and want them to feel as comfortable as possible. I am very careful with the door, meaning, it will never be left open and I make sure to keep trash up. We will not have visitors if we have a client staying with us. I'd love to do this full time at some point soon when it can work out financially. I have a beautiful apartment complex that is next to the French Broad River. It's about a mile around the whole complex and the walking next to the river is unmatched.

About: I've grown up around big dogs my whole life and love all pets more than anything. Playtime in our fully fenced yard is entirely supervised, and I can easily crate your dog for meals or bedtime to ensure a structured, safe stay.
