“We needed a sitter to watch our dog, Bernie, during our wedding weekend. Bernie is reactive, doesn't trust many people, and has only stayed with a select few trusted people in the past (who were all at our wedding), but he LOVES Megan. She went out of her way to understand and accommodate his reactivity, and came a few times before the day to make sure he was comfortable. We got photos throughout her stay of all the play sessions, cuddles and walks Bernie enjoyed- which assured us he was not only well taken care of, but having a great time. Megan is also an all around great human. When our original wedding was cancelled due to Hurricane Helene and we couldn't get in contact with anyone, Megan came to our house to make sure we didn't still need a sitter. I have a severe food allergy that requires we don't bring gluten in the house, and she was respectful and cognizant throughout her stay. If you need a sitter for your pet, I would 1000% recommend Megan. We will definitely be rebooking!”

About: Keeping your pets safe and happy while you're away is my highest priority. I grew up in a home with 2 big dogs and 4 cats. I've seen first hand how stressful it can be for our furry friends to lose their normal schedule when their parent is away. I understand the importance of keeping your pets on their normal routine and given lots of love to keep them feeling their best the whole time you're gone. I'm reliable and have a flexible work schedule, giving me lots of time to spend with the pets. I love hiking and the outdoors and will bring your energetic pup on adventures with me. Play time is essential and I'll always look for an energy outlet for your pet, from indoor toys to dog parks, whatever they love to do! I'm a photographer and I'm always capturing the silliest and cutest photos of animals. I'll send you photo updates of our activities and will take professional quality portraits of them at your request. Spending time with your fur-babies will genuinely be the highlight of my week. I will do everything in my power to make sure they're happy and comfortable no matter their temperament, age, and affection level; I meet them where they are at. I'm currently working on developing my own business remotely. My schedule is flexible and very open so I'll have lots of time to spend at home with your pets. I make sure to understand how you take care of your pet so I can provide them as close to a normal routine as possible. I believe keeping them in their familiar environment & routine reduces stress and builds trust that their parent will be back soon. If your pet acts strangely or I'm missing something, I ask about it. No risks or unknowns are involved when caring for a treasured member of your family.

About: I've had large and small dogs, cats, goats and birds in my life since I can remember. I am patient, calm, fun and caring with animals of all kinds and can offer my home to care for dogs in, or I can care for your dogs, cats or goats at yours! I have a spoiled 60 pound spoiled pup of my own named Luna who likes to play with other dogs and also have reliable transportation if you need your dog to go to the vet or would prefer I come to your house. I have excellent references and would love for you to meet us! I have plenty of free time to care for your animals as I am able to work from home most of the time! We can play in our large yard, go for walks locally and hikes on the Blue Ridge Parkway in nice weather. Cats can be cared for at your home where I can feed & water, spend cuddle time with them and clean the litter box. I can feed the goats, check and change their water, clean up their bedding and make sure they have minerals and treats. We have a large yard and a quiet neighborhood to go for walks around. I can provide blankets for your pup, and if needed I have space to crate your dog though we do not crate ours. I will be the responsible care person for your pet, I am married and we have one dog named Luna. Your dog can snuggle with us on the bed until it is time to go to sleep when they will go to their dog bed either in our room, or in the living room. Our house is not crowded and we have space to play ball, tug of war or fetch in rainy, yucky weather.

“Luna can be a bit funny with new people, being pretty anxious and not wanting to be petted. Hannah was patient with Luna, adjusting as needed to try to keep Luna as comfortable and less stressed as possible. Eventually, Luna calmed down and was sleeping in the bed with Hannah and allowing pets, which means she was finally comfortable with Hannah. The daily updates with pictures gave me peace of mind while I was away from my pup, too! I will for sure use Hannah again for future dogsitting needs!”

About: I've never known a life without a pet. That in and of itself is a gift. Nothing compares to the love you have for your fur child(ren) or the unconditional love they give you in return. I recently lost my fur child. I always said she was a 38 pound representation of my whole heart. She was my soul dog and impacted my life in ways I will never be able to describe. We had many an adventure, traveling to over 16 states and 3 countries. After having lived abroad for the past 4 years, I recently made the move back to the U.S. This time, my fur child followed me home as an angel. Whilst I'm still recovering from her loss, my love for animals is stronger than ever. I want to extend that love to your fur child(ren). Whether it's dropping in to give your pet(s) food and cuddles, taking them on a much needed walk to allow those spidey senses to run free, or an extended stay at your home so you can have peace of mind whilst you're away, your pet will be surrounded by love, safety and attention under my care. My experience has taught me the level of care needed throughout all stages of an animal's life, and the levels of attentiveness needed. While I've personally only had dogs (and a hampster!) I am the proud aunty to my sibling's cat, whom I've cared for, and their 10 month old puppy. Having been in a position where I had to entrust my fur child to the care of another, I know how important it is to feel like they are in the very best hands. I take that very seriously. Rest assured I will love and care for your fur child(ren) as I would my own because that's what they deserve. My weekly schedule is currently fairly flexible. Distance can potentially factor into this. However, I am open, depending on individual needs. Please feel free to reach out and we can discuss. I always want to make sure that a safe environment is provided for the animals I care for. This isn't just about providing a safe physical environment (i.e. keeping harmful waste and toxins out of reach, potential choking hazards, making sure doors are closed, etc.), but an emotional one as well. Animals are highly intuitive and it's important that they feel safe with you and the energy you put out. I make sure that their routines are upheld to provide a sense of familiarity and stability. If needed, ensuring their medications are given as prescribed. Additionally, I would use security cameras when I had to be away from my fur child, and am happy to provide one when appropriate.
