Great with all animals
I love all animals! I grew up with cats and have yet to find a cat who won't be my friend. I also have over 14 years experience pet sitting and volunteering with dogs in shelters, so I have worked with dogs of all sizes, health and behavior needs. I have stayed in homes with dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, parrots, hamsters and goats. Animals tend to warm up to me and trust me immediately, so I'm a great choice for your shy or defensive darlings. While volunteering with the Oregon Humane Society, I was trained to help the especially difficult dogs learn better leash manners and basic tricks to make them more adoptable. I keep myself up to date on pet first aid and I have experience with providing supplements and meds (oral, topical and injectable). My biggest priority is helping your pets feel comfortable and loved while you're away and will send frequent updates and pics so you know all is well. I teach math online for Buncombe County Schools, so not only am I available throughout the day to spend time with your animals but you know I am someone you can trust with your pet family and home. I only have a couple of times a day where I have to be on Zoom calls and otherwise have the flexibility to make sure your animal family's needs are being met.

I do my best to keep pets' routines the same as when their humans are home and to give them over the top amounts of love and exercise so they can be as well as possible while their human family is gone.

Skye was amazing! This was the first time I left the boys overnight with someone. The photos, updates and mindful training /management of our 2 year old Australian Kettle dog was key. Skye even celebrated our 14 year old beagle’s birthday while we were away! Thank you !
Skye was incredible! They are a breeze to communicate with and sent so many incredible photos every day. I could tell that my babies were well taken care of. They were super respectful of our requests and our house was spotless when we came home after our trip. We will definitely book with them again in the future!
Skye was wonderful with our rambunctious girls! Plenty of walks and playtime. It was our first time leaving them with a sitter and we felt very comfortable knowing Skye was at the house.
Skye was amazing! My dog can be anxious around new people and has separation anxiety. Skye was calm and patient with him. They bonded and he now has a new friend in Skye! She sent pictures every day and kept me posted so that I could enjoy my trip. She’s now my go-to sitter whenever I travel!

When I met Skye for our meet and greet, I knew right away Skye was going to be a great fit! Skye took care of our 3 doggies at our home and spent the night. Skye sent plenty of updates and pictures and was so very patient, (and extremely understanding) of one of our dog's shy/nervous personality. I am very selective with who I would allow to, not only come into my home, but to care for my fur-babies. Skye is top notch---trustworthy and so very kind! I will definitely book again!

I can work anywhere with WiFi, so I'm wide open to spend time with your animal family while you're gone and give them all the care they need when they need it.
