About: I've grown up with several cats. My best friend and the love of my life is a tabby cat I've had since I was 12 years old. I didn't have a dog growing up but I frequently cared for my neighbors Great Pyrenees. My first dog as an adult was a rescue coonhound mix and my current dog is a purebred Redbone Coonhound. I live in an apartment with 2 cats and a dog. I work part time at Food Lion, but I'm wanting to be a full-time pet sitter. Humans are too complicated for me. Plus it gives me the opportunity to spend more time with my dog! I live in an apartment but I'm very active. I utilize all the trails and parks in the area and I bring along my buddy Cheeto, a foster Redbone Coonhound who loves other dogs, as well as my new puppy!

Mellisa was wonderful with my senior dog who had some special needs. She gave frequently updates and pictures to let me know how he was doing. She thoughtfully brought in the mail and brought the trash dumpster back from the road without being asked to. My dog was well cared for and house in good order when I returned. Thora took to Kara right away at the meet & greet, and Kara was willing to brave a potential snow and ice storm while we were away. She checked in a couple of times a day with details and photos, and it gave us peace to know that Thora was getting lots of love and play. The house was very tidy when we returned.
This was my second time with Ela and I’m inviting her to sit again next week! She is very easy to communicate with, very wise and intuitive with my animals. She’s clean (leaves everything exactly how I left it) and even washes her bedding which helps me out a lot! I’ve had nearly a hundred sitters over the last few years and she is one of the best. I wish I could take her to California with me when I move back next year!
