“Grey is super easy to work with and a great communicator beforehand, during and afterwards. My pups were cared for, loved on and basically happy campers! We absolutely will use Grey for our sitting needs!”

“Sara did an amazing job pet sitting our 2 dogs over a long weekend in our home. I loved the frequent updates with pictures and could tell she understands dogs of all temperaments. Our boys were very well taken care of and our house was left in excellent condition. We will definitely use Sara again! The peace of mind allowed our family to have a relaxing getaway.”

“I could not have asked for a more caring and loving individual to watch my two darling Shih Tzus when I was away. On the meet and greet, Megan took meticulous notes and it was clear how much she loves animals. While I was away, she sent many notes and photos. Her questions showed me how well-cared for my babies were and I could rest easy knowing that Megan was there. I feel so lucky to have found her! Not only did she take excellent care of Moxie and Tonks, but she left my apartment better than she found it! Amazing!”

“James is a joy. He took great care of the dogs and our home. We came home to a clean and tidy home. He took care of everything we had asked him to do and would highly recommend him again”

“Luna can be a bit funny with new people, being pretty anxious and not wanting to be petted. Hannah was patient with Luna, adjusting as needed to try to keep Luna as comfortable and less stressed as possible. Eventually, Luna calmed down and was sleeping in the bed with Hannah and allowing pets, which means she was finally comfortable with Hannah. The daily updates with pictures gave me peace of mind while I was away from my pup, too! I will for sure use Hannah again for future dogsitting needs!”

“Laura is wonderful. I feel confident leaving my pup in her care. She keeps me up to date with pictures and any happenings while I’m gone. The best compliment I can give is that when I leave Zoey with her I am completely at ease that she is loved and well cared for while I’m away.”

“Mandolyn was great with our pup! She engaged him mentally and physically and was a trooper keeping him occupied during several days of rain. She listened, followed instructions and takes her job seriously. Will definitely use her again.”

“Sonya was great! She stayed with our dog Moose and our gecko Spike. She sent so many wonderful photos and communicated throughout. We really appreciate her taking such good care of them both.”

“Adaira was amazing with my dog. I was nervous bc this was his first time with a sitter and he has some quirks. She kept me updated and sent cute pictures. She was so good with him and left my house so clean! I highly recommend.”

“David is a delight. This was the first time I ever left my cat. She is a touch customer - shy, finicky and on a special diet and medications, so definitely not an easy pet. I loved getting the photos and updates from David each day and especially the one where she is in his lap! He is an amazing carer and I highly recommend him!”

“Natasha was amazing with our senior pup! She was very communicative and took plenty of pictures and updates during our trip. I would highly recommend her as your next pet sitter!”

“Laina was an excellent caretaker for Cooper. Cooper has lots of anxiety and needs lots of patience which Laina was able to provide. She had great communication the whole time and made me feel comfortable Cooper was cared for. As difficult as Cooper can be to handle she was able to do it. I would happily recommend Laina to anyone who wants their dog cared for properly for their specific needs. She even got Cooper to feel comfortable enough to lick her hand which is not like him with new people. Great communication, great care, ten out of ten experience, by far the best I could’ve hired. Thank you so much Laina!”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience caring for all kinds of dogs and cats, from energetic puppies to senior pets who need extra patience and gentle care. I’m comfortable with large breeds, shy or anxious dogs, and managing multiple pets at once. I’ve also worked on basic puppy training like leash walking and simple commands, so I can reinforce good habits during walks or visits. I’m calm, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with animals, which helps pets feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. I treat every pet like they’re my own, paying close attention to their individual needs, routines, and personalities. I work early mornings at a bakery, so I’m available most afternoons and evenings throughout the week. My schedule can vary slightly, but I’m flexible, easy to reach, and can usually confirm timing at least a day in advance! While doing dog walks and drop-ins, I make sure your pets are safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for, and that all of their needs are met while you’re away. I treat every pet with patience, love, and attention, and I also make sure your home is respected and taken care of during visits. I’m always open to communication, so you can easily get in touch with me while I’m with your pet, and I’m happy to send pictures and updates so you feel reassured and connected the whole time.
“We had a great experience with JoHannah! She was able to spend a lot of time with my 5 pets while we were away. She sent many photos and was quick to respond when we reached out. The house was clean and the pets were calm when we returned from our trip. Would book with her again. Thanks JoHannah!”

“Highly recommend! Albert (David) was awesome with our three dogs! They’re not the easiest—one is giant, one is high anxiety, and one is blind. And they all have special medication procedures. Plus we have a quirky century-old house that’s not the easiest either…but David was not phased by any of this! The dogs instantly loved him at the meet and greet, and we came home to them completely calm and happy (which means they got lots of love and attention and walks)! We hope he’s always available when we need a sitter.”

“Litzy went above and beyond taking care of our dogs despite some unexpected behavior challenges with our rescue! I’m so grateful that she took the time to make sure they were happy, safe, and fed 💕”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Woodside Hills
Kyla spent a week watching Roy while we were out of state and took great care to send us daily photos of him having fun. She also took great care of our house and put the sheets and towels in the washer - which was not necessary or expected but an appreciated gesture.

I have a really hard time going on any trips/vacations that I can’t bring my dog on, but Alema’s updates and photos put me at ease knowing Scout was being well cared for. We came home to a happy dog and clean apartment. I think I’ll be planning future vacations around Alema’s availability! Lol

Skye was amazing! This was the first time I left the boys overnight with someone. The photos, updates and mindful training /management of our 2 year old Australian Kettle dog was key. Skye even celebrated our 14 year old beagle’s birthday while we were away! Thank you !

Mellisa was wonderful with my senior dog who had some special needs. She gave frequently updates and pictures to let me know how he was doing. She thoughtfully brought in the mail and brought the trash dumpster back from the road without being asked to. My dog was well cared for and house in good order when I returned. I would welcome her back again.

Gabe was wonderful with my dogs! It was my first time using Rover, as well as my first time leaving them alone in the home. Gabe came & did a pre-meeting with me & the pups before the stay which was so nice. While he stayed with my dogs, he was very flexible & communicative, shared pictures of them & left my home in wonderful condition. I would recommend him over & over!

Thora took to Kara right away at the meet & greet, and Kara was willing to brave a potential snow and ice storm while we were away. She checked in a couple of times a day with details and photos, and it gave us peace to know that Thora was getting lots of love and play. The house was very tidy when we returned.

This was my second time with Ela and I’m inviting her to sit again next week! She is very easy to communicate with, very wise and intuitive with my animals. She’s clean (leaves everything exactly how I left it) and even washes her bedding which helps me out a lot! I’ve had nearly a hundred sitters over the last few years and she is one of the best. I wish I could take her to California with me when I move back next year!

Elijah took great care of our little buddy and our home while we were away. He showed up on time and had great communication throughout. We appreciated the periodic photo updates! Our mail and trash was taken care of and the house was left clean and tidy. We look forward to having Elijah back for our next trip and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his help to anyone.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Woodside Hills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Woodside Hills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woodside Hills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodside Hills. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
