“Becky was great. Very sweet and our kitties seemed to feel comfortable with her immediately. She sent fun, creative photos and we felt our furries were in good hands while we were gone.”

About: What sets me apart is my experience caring for animals who need a little extra patience, attention, and understanding. I have experience working with older dogs and sick animals, which has taught me how important it is to pay attention to the little things and recognize when a pet may not be feeling their best. I understand that every animal has different needs, routines, and personalities, and I’m happy to adjust my care to make them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or older and needs a slower pace, I’ll treat them with the same care and compassion I would want for my own pets. Pet care fits easily into my schedule because I currently work only about 10 hours a week, giving me plenty of flexibility to dedicate time to your pets. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and other care needs, and I can work with your pet’s routine and schedule. Having a flexible schedule also means I can give your pets the time, attention, and companionship they deserve rather than rushing through a visit. When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping them comfortable by maintaining their normal routines as much as possible. I follow their feeding, medication, walking, and care instructions closely while giving them plenty of attention and companionship. I also treat every home with the same respect and care I would expect for my own, keeping things clean and secure. Most importantly, I communicate with owners throughout the stay and provide updates so they can feel confident that their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while they’re away.
About: I've taken care of dogs since I was five years old. I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.

About: I have two cats and a dog who mean the world to me, so I truly understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and routine. I would treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m currently in nursing school full time, which has strengthened my responsibility, patience, and compassion when caring for others. While my weekdays are busy with classes and studying, I’m available for evening and weekend pet care and would love to spend that time giving your pets the attention, comfort, and love they deserve. In my home or my client’s home, I care for pets by following their usual routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, and get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection based on their personality and energy level. I’m mindful of any specific instructions from the owner, including medications, special diets, or behavioral needs. I also keep their space clean, make sure they have a calm and stress-free environment, and give lots of reassurance so they feel at ease while their owner is away.
“I adopted my dog fairly recently so I was nervous about leaving her with someone else for the weekend, but Megan was extremely attentive and made me feel comfortable on day 1! She was wonderful about providing updates and asking about details I hadn't even considered. I have a cat as well and I could tell they were both very fond of her by the end of the weekend. I would definitely recommend Megan to anybody looking for a petsitter.”

About: I've had pets my whole life. I did 4 years of vocational training in veterinary medicine throughout high school, and I also pet sitted for neighborhood pets during that time. Afterwards, I went to college and got a Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences, focusing on Behavior and Well-Being. I had many animal related jobs throughout that time and am fully ready to return to caring for cats and dogs. I'm currently working full time, so I am a bit busy. However, I am trying to get a part time job so I can have more time to dedicate to your beloved pets. I prefer to care for animals in their own home, so they can still feel a sense of safety and comfort if they are wary around strangers or don't care for new environments.
About: I have had pets in my house ever since I was born. I have always loved every single animal I have come across. I have pets in my family so I understand how important a pet can be to a person. Trusting someone with a pet can be scary but you can have full faith in me:) I recently graduated with my associate’s degree and will be starting dental assistant school in August, which is an exciting next step for me! Outside of school and work, I love spending my free time reading, crafting, and hanging out with my animals. I’m a very hands-on, creative person, and I really enjoy staying busy in ways that still feel relaxing and fun. I also have a clear and flexible schedule, which allows me to be dependable and available when needed for pet care visits. hen caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible so they feel safe and comfortable. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, fresh water, litter box cleaning, walks, playtime, and any special care needs. I also have experience administering medications when needed and making sure pets stay healthy and stress-free while their owners are away. If caring for pets in my own home, I provide a calm, pet-friendly environment with lots of attention, supervision, and enrichment throughout the day. I make sure they have a safe space to relax, regular feeding times, play sessions, and plenty of affection based on their personality and comfort level. In both settings, I treat every pet like my own and always prioritize their safety, happiness, and routine. I also keep owners updated so they can feel at ease while they’re away.
“Maria was very helpful and flexible with our anxious pup. She was able to manage our dogs initial discomfort and create solid rapport with Ella at her own time. We are so appreciative of her hard work and kindness! We highly recommend!”

“Lela was absolutely wonderful with my 3 dogs. She came for a meet and greet prior to her check-ins so that we could make sure it was a good match. Everything went well and she was right on time for her drop-ins. My dogs were well taken care of this weekend 🙂”
“We truly appreciate the time and attention Hailey gave to our dog while we were away. If was our first time leaving town without him and were really happy with the care he received while we were away.”

“Kate really came through for us last minute. She was very thorough at introduction asking questions to make sure we were on the same page for the care of our pets. Her check-ins were detailed and included photos. We will book with Kate again ! Thank you so much Kate !”

“I couldn’t be happier with Natasha and how well she cared for our cats and sugar glider. She is very attentive, meticulous and our cats love her calming energy. So thankful to have found someone so kind and responsible that we can trust while we are away. Will definitely rebook with her again!”

About: I routinely sit for friend's dogs and cats, and grew up around dogs so am very comfortable with many breeds and personalities. Especially love senior pups :) Local to Asheville, but willing to travel to surrounding counties. I am currently in graduate school, so I have a schedule that allows me to care for your pet during most weekdays as well as weekends. A very important thing before I start sitting a new animal is to make sure that I know what vocal/gesture commands, house rules, or personal needs your pet is accustomed to. This makes it a more seamless experience for both the humans and the animal.
About: I’ve owned and cared for animals since I was a small child. We’ve had everything from parrots, chickens and fish to dogs cats and snakes. I regularly house sit and pet sit for friends and family. I also have cared for animals every day at the Brevard Zoo and have cared for others at previous jobs such as the St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park, the May Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and the Avian Conservation Center: Center for Birds of Prey. Currently I work for the ASPCA with fearful dogs as a care and enrichment technician. Currently I work for the ASPCA with fearful dogs as a care and enrichment technician. Outside of the general care and husbandry duties I fulfill daily I also have pets of my own. I am unable to host other’s animals in my own home due to being a renter, however in your home I will follow any and all rules set up for your pet’s safety / general house rules or any special requests. I understand your pet’s happiness, health, and safety is of the utmost concern when you are away from them and I strive to meet all their needs.
About: Dogs tend to love me at first sight…and the feeling is mutual. I’m very attuned and sensitive to animal body language, indulgent like the best auntie but I won’t let them be too naughty. I am also super observant and can see when a dog is tired, overstimulated, cranky, etc. I don’t take animal behavior personally. I just watch and respond. Until the hurricane I was volunteering at Brother Wolf, walking every kind of dog from the super leash-pull-y to the “just want to sit in the shade and never go home.” This is my second business (look me up: ........). My primary work is as a developmental editor & writing coach for authors, academics, and business owners. I make my own schedule and work remotely, so I can set up at your place as long as the internet is good. I do a lot of coaching calls and my clients always enjoy saying hi to the dogs on zoom. :) As much as I’d love to offer boarding services for dogs, I have a sweet cat at home who would not appreciate this. :) Instead, give me all your intricately detailed instructions, your pet’s weird quirks, and whatever other anxious pet-parent stuff you want me to know. I will hold it all, follow it to the letter, be so sweet to your baby—plus I’ll send you photos to keep you updated. I also like to take lots of let selfies. If your lil’ buddy needs more constant companionship, I can bring my work to your place!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Weaverville
Kate is responsible, kind, and did a wonderful job caring for our cats and sugar glider. We felt confident that all our pets were comfortable and happy while we were away. We loved the photos and updates she sent. Even our shy kitty seems to love her. We are so happy we found her!

Allisyn was great. We didn’t have the chance to meet her before our trip, but she made everything easy. Great communication each day, arrived on time, stayed for the scheduled time (or even longer), and let us know if she had any questions. She sent lots of pics each day and even carried in a package and sent a picture of that as well. We were a little nervous as our dog is like our kid, but Allisyn did a great job. We will definitely use her again!!

Our 2 dogs are not socialized, but they took to Brody right from the very first meeting. He took care of them and even offered to do more for them out of kindness and recognizing the needs of our girls. This was our first experience on Rover and with Brody and we were very happy and will continue using his services!

Taylor has watched over my fur babies several times now and has been nothing but amazing. Taylor is my #1 pet sitter and always will be my first choice for a sitter for as long as I live in the Asheville area. Taylor always sends pictures and messages for updates and genuinely cares for my pets and their needs.

Bradley took great care of my cat and was in regular communication every day. She also helped out by bringing the garbage/recycling cans up so they weren’t left on the street while I was away. At previous times, she stayed with my dogs. It’s great to have reliable support with my beloved pets. I highly recommend Bradley for any job!

Michelle made my first Rover experience perfect! She walked me through the process, and my car Buttercup—who hides from EVERYONE—went right up to Michelle! I will have no worries about booking with Michelle again. It was such a relief! And I appreciate all of the notes, videos and pictures!
