“My pup Pickles stayed with Brody for a week while I was out of town. Brody has great demeanor and command with all the dogs he takes care of. Always seems to have multiple on site which was a bonus for me as it gave Pickles lots of social time with the others. Every dog that was there, when I was present, listened well and and seemed very happy. I had the chance to check out the set-up before booking and there's plenty of room to roam, play or relax - whether each dog wants to socialize or just hang out by themselves. Finally, his "dog cave" (think Man-Cave/She-shed) was perfect for the dogs to cool off and sleep in a climate controlled and peaceful environment - with each dog having their own crate to call home. Brody provided pics/videos of Pickles to ease my mind - knowing he was being well taken care of and happy in my absence.”

About: Hi, I’m Maddy! I’ve been around animals my entire life. I grew up with dogs and cats and have cared for my own pets throughout adulthood, including German Shepherds for the past 10 years. I live with my German Shepherd and two indoor cats, who are very much my babies, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone else, and I’ll care for them with that same level of love and attention. Horses were also a huge part of my childhood. I had my own horse growing up and cared for horses from fifth grade through high school, so I’m very comfortable around larger animals. We asked her to watch Toby the morning of the day we were to fly out of town. She was able to accommodate the last minute request. Made it seem like it was no trouble at all. About: I’ve cared for many cats in my life. I’m the go-to sitter for two strange orange boys, and spent some time living in a mixed household where my Henry had to coexist with two other males. I’ve watched every episode of My Cat From Hell multiple times and read several cat behavior books. While my efforts have not always been successful (because, cats 🙄), I do have a strong grasp of body language, behavioral needs, mood, and temperament. I’ve given pills to a super mean scratchy boy, and am generally unfazed if a cat doesn’t immediately want to be my best friend. I get them. I respect them. And they tend to appreciate this about me. If you have a kitten or a juvenile, I might be open to boarding if you need it, but we’d have to do a meet & greet first to make sure Henry would be okay.

About: Hi, I am a compassionate and dependable recent retiree. My two senior dogs passed away in the past 6 months and I am without any fur-babies for the first time in decades. I am honored to spend quality time with your loved one so you can have a worry-free vacation and I can have some doggy/kitty time! I am newly retired and have plenty of free time. I do have community activities out but they do not dominate my day. I spend my time focused on creativity (working on art and music projects) at home. So your pup will have company pretty much all day whether you are boarding with me or I am housesitting for you. I am very active and have a daily exercise and yoga routine and my home is a healthy and veg-friendly household. I'll gladly walk your dog to the level he/she is used to (if it's hot I will walk early morning and/or evenings). My intention is to have your baby feel loved and safe with lots of attention and play and by sticking to the routine as you dictate. I am very tidy/neat and respectful of your home. I'm happy to water your plants etc. If boarding in my home, I am here most of the time. My husb and I Iive in a house with a big fenced in yard so there is plenty of room for your pup to do his or her business and run around and chase a toy. The neighborhood is very walkable and dog-friendly. I can also take your dog in the car to favorite walks (with your permission). If boarding in my home, I request that your dog is 100% house-trained and has good social skills/manners as well as being comfortable with having their own bed to sleep in.

About: Between us, we have always had an animal in our lives - from ferrets and horses to cats and dogs. Pets simply make life better and there’s no better way to thank them than to shower them with love and affection. Your fur baby is guaranteed to be excited when they need to stay with us. Nichole was a professional dog walker in Boston before moving to Asheville, so she has experience with all sizes and temperaments. Jackson is certified in American Service Pet training as well, so you can rest assured they are in good, capable hands during their stay. We both work outside of the home - Jackson as a maintenance worker and Nichole as a doctor - so our fur babies are usually lounging inside or in our fenced in yard. That said, we always make sure one of us will be home when we have any pets staying with us. On the weekends, we love spending time out in nature, especially around bodies of water and would love to safely bring your pet along. When you trust us to watch your animals, we’ll follow whatever rules you’d like. They can run around in our fenced in yard or stay inside. We have a large crate as well if your animal prefers that. We have a Bernedoodle that loves playing with new friends, as long as they are not aggressive. We have two indoor cats that love playing with our dog, but would also not do well with an aggressive dog. We love to train dogs as well and are happy reinforce the work you are doing while they stay with us.

I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.

About: I've grown up around big dogs my whole life and love all pets more than anything. I believe every pet should feel loved and happy with the humans they around no matter how old, or young, they may be. About: Hi, I’m Maddy! I’ve been around animals my entire life. I grew up with dogs and cats and have cared for my own pets throughout adulthood, including German Shepherds for the past 10 years. I live with my German Shepherd and two indoor cats, who are very much my babies, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone else, and I’ll care for them with that same level of love and attention. Horses were also a huge part of my childhood. I had my own horse growing up and cared for horses from fifth grade through high school, so I’m very comfortable around larger animals. I especially love big dogs and am comfortable with large or intimidating breeds. I own my home, which sits on an acre of land with a large, fenced backyard. There are no shared walls or homes stacked around us, so dogs staying with me have a private, peaceful space with plenty of room to play, sniff, and relax. My goal is for your pets to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely at home while they’re here. About: Growing up with two veterinarian parents, animals have been a central part of my life for almost 3 decades. I have extensive experience in caring for animals, including senior pets, and have two vets on speed dial! I work an on-call schedule largely from home, but there are times I am out of the house for work (usually 3-4 hours at a time). My dog is used to regular feeding hours, daily walks, and plenty of outside yard time. Your dog will have access to a fenced in yard, a friendly black shepherd for company, and plenty of couch space to rest. There are options for ball throwing, squeaky toy cuddling, and lots of air-conditioning vent laying. Feel free to drop off your pups favorite treats as well!
About: Hi, I am a compassionate and dependable recent retiree. My two senior dogs passed away in the past 6 months and I am without any fur-babies for the first time in decades. I am honored to spend quality time with your loved one so you can have a worry-free vacation and I can have some doggy/kitty time! I am newly retired and have plenty of free time. I do have community activities out but they do not dominate my day. I spend my time focused on creativity (working on art and music projects) at home. So your pup will have company pretty much all day whether you are boarding with me or I am housesitting for you. I am very active and have a daily exercise and yoga routine and my home is a healthy and veg-friendly household. I'll gladly walk your dog to the level he/she is used to (if it's hot I will walk early morning and/or evenings). My intention is to have your baby feel loved and safe with lots of attention and play and by sticking to the routine as you dictate. I am very tidy/neat and respectful of your home. I'm happy to water your plants etc. If boarding in my home, I am here most of the time. My husb and I Iive in a house with a big fenced in yard so there is plenty of room for your pup to do his or her business and run around and chase a toy. The neighborhood is very walkable and dog-friendly. I can also take your dog in the car to favorite walks (with your permission). If boarding in my home, I request that your dog is 100% house-trained and has good social skills/manners as well as being comfortable with having their own bed to sleep in.
