“My pup Pickles stayed with Brody for a week while I was out of town. Brody has great demeanor and command with all the dogs he takes care of. Always seems to have multiple on site which was a bonus for me as it gave Pickles lots of social time with the others. Every dog that was there, when I was present, listened well and and seemed very happy. I had the chance to check out the set-up before booking and there's plenty of room to roam, play or relax - whether each dog wants to socialize or just hang out by themselves. Finally, his "dog cave" (think Man-Cave/She-shed) was perfect for the dogs to cool off and sleep in a climate controlled and peaceful environment - with each dog having their own crate to call home. Brody provided pics/videos of Pickles to ease my mind - knowing he was being well taken care of and happy in my absence.”

About: I have always been a dog person. People at work call me the dog whisperer. I have so much love and patience to give. I have trained my dog since he was a puppy and I have taken care of senior dogs as well. I am currently fully focused on pet care. My daily and weekly schedule is very flexible and easy to work around. This more time with furry friends the better! I have a Furbo if I am not home. I think the most important part is attention and love towards any pet. Making sure they have exercise and relief.
About: I’ve cared for many cats in my life. I’m the go-to sitter for two strange orange boys, and spent some time living in a mixed household where my Henry had to coexist with two other males. I’ve watched every episode of My Cat From Hell multiple times and read several cat behavior books. While my efforts have not always been successful (because, cats 🙄), I do have a strong grasp of body language, behavioral needs, mood, and temperament. I’ve given pills to a super mean scratchy boy, and am generally unfazed if a cat doesn’t immediately want to be my best friend. I get them. I respect them. And they tend to appreciate this about me. About: Hi, I am a compassionate and dependable recent retiree. My two senior dogs passed away in the past 6 months and I am without any fur-babies for the first time in decades. I am honored to spend quality time with your loved one so you can have a worry-free vacation and I can have some doggy/kitty time! I am newly retired and have plenty of free time. I do have community activities out but they do not dominate my day. I spend my time focused on creativity (working on art and music projects) at home. So your pup will have company pretty much all day whether you are boarding with me or I am housesitting for you. I am very active and have a daily exercise and yoga routine and my home is a healthy and veg-friendly household. I'll gladly walk your dog to the level he/she is used to (if it's hot I will walk early morning and/or evenings). My intention is to have your baby feel loved and safe with lots of attention and play and by sticking to the routine as you dictate. I am very tidy/neat and respectful of your home. I'm happy to water your plants etc. If boarding in my home, I am here most of the time. My husb and I Iive in a house with a big fenced in yard so there is plenty of room for your pup to do his or her business and run around and chase a toy. The neighborhood is very walkable and dog-friendly. I can also take your dog in the car to favorite walks (with your permission). If boarding in my home, I request that your dog is 100% house-trained and has good social skills/manners as well as being comfortable with having their own bed to sleep in.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was five years old. I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.

Since I’m home most of the time, I’m able to provide consistent attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and check-ins without long gaps between visits. I love getting outside for daily walks, and having a dog companion would make that even better since my own dog is usually at work with my fiancé. My schedule allows me to be reliable, present, and responsive, so your pet will never feel like they’re being rushed or left alone for long periods. I truly enjoy incorporating pet care into my day and making it part of my routine. I’m available for morning, midday, and afternoon visits depending on your pet’s needs, and I’m happy to follow their normal routine to keep things as comfortable and familiar as possible! For walks, I love taking dogs out on local neighborhood routes or nearby trails so they can safely explore, get fresh air, and enjoy their exercise time. Whether your dog prefers a relaxed stroll or a more active walk, I adjust the pace to match their energy level and needs. At this time, I do not offer care in my home as my cat is prone to getting stressed with change in her environment.
About: I have always been a dog person. People at work call me the dog whisperer. I have so much love and patience to give. I have trained my dog since he was a puppy and I have taken care of senior dogs as well. I am currently fully focused on pet care. My daily and weekly schedule is very flexible and easy to work around. This more time with furry friends the better! I have a Furbo if I am not home. I think the most important part is attention and love towards any pet. Making sure they have exercise and relief.

About: I've provided loving care to all sorts of animals! I am new to Rover, but not new to caring for fur babies, especially dogs and cats. I have 2 dogs and a cat myself, and have been a nanny for almost a decade. I love to nurture! I've always adored critters of all kinds since an early age, I grew up with a family dog and 3 cats, as well as hamsters, reptiles, fish, birds and more. I am one of those people who finds it is easier to connect with animals than humans at times, and I have a good general knowledge of dog training, reading body language and caring for reactive or higher needs animals. I am currently only working 1 day per week for 4 hours at a pottery studio in Asheville, and one day a week I work remote. My schedule is very flexible, during my free time I am a ceramic artist and help my partner run our farm in Marshall, so have a lot of freedom in creating my schedule based on house sitting / pet care needs. I am a slow morning person, so will take the time to provide potty breaks, playtime and cuddles to your fur baby! I pride myself on safety and keeping your pets comfortable and at ease. I will keep off limit foods/items out of reach, and have a lot of awareness around things in the home or outside that could be dangerous. If something comes up and I am unsure on how you'd like it to be handled, I will contact you and keep you informed. About: I’ve had animals my entire life and have been involved in animal rescue for the past 10 years. I currently foster with Mountain Pet Rescue and the Asheville Humane Society, and I’ve cared for animals with all kinds of personalities, backgrounds, and needs. I’m comfortable with dogs and cats and I also have experience administering medications. Rescue work has taught me how to be patient with animals who are shy, anxious, energetic, or just need a little extra time and attention. More than anything, I genuinely love being around animals and really enjoy caring for them. When your pet is with me, they’ll be treated like the little prince or princess they are...with lots of love, attention, cuddles, playtime, and care tailored to what makes them happiest. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, boundaries, feeding schedule, medications, and any quirks or triggers before caring for them. In my home, pets get plenty of supervision, attention, and a calm environment where they can settle in at their own pace. I never force interactions and am very comfortable giving shy or nervous animals the space they need to feel secure. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible and make sure doors, gates, leashes, food, and medications are handled carefully. My years in rescue have made me especially attentive to body language and changes in behavior, so I’m always keeping an eye on how your pet is feeling. About: I was an on-the-job trained vet tech for 6 years and loved every minute of it! I ended up transitioning to the human medicine world, and have been in the ER almost 11 years. From axolotls to parrots, I have had all kinds of experience with pet-keeping! Animals will always be my passion 🐾🩷 I work second shift at the ER, so my schedule is very sporadic! I’m pretty flexible on my days off though. On days I work, I’m happy to come pet sit before or after my shift. I have a fenced in yard, two sweet dogs and 3 friendly cats that would be around! About: I've been walking my dogs my whole life; I've had an Akita, two Shiba Inus, and one husky mutt (all raised from puppies). I have dealt with all of the care required. I've taken care of many of my family and friend's pets as well as worked at a dog day care "3 muttskateers" for half a year. “My pup Pickles stayed with Brody for a week while I was out of town. Brody has great demeanor and command with all the dogs he takes care of. Always seems to have multiple on site which was a bonus for me as it gave Pickles lots of social time with the others. Every dog that was there, when I was present, listened well and and seemed very happy. I had the chance to check out the set-up before booking and there's plenty of room to roam, play or relax - whether each dog wants to socialize or just hang out by themselves. Finally, his "dog cave" (think Man-Cave/She-shed) was perfect for the dogs to cool off and sleep in a climate controlled and peaceful environment - with each dog having their own crate to call home. Brody provided pics/videos of Pickles to ease my mind - knowing he was being well taken care of and happy in my absence.”
