About: I've taken care of dogs since I was five years old. I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.

“Joa was so helpful for a very last minute walk for my dogs. Thank you so much and I’ll def be returning to you :)”

“Brody was amazing! My dogs are determined to attack everyone they meet with love and it can definitely be intimidating lol. Love my babies but they’re extra. Brody embraced their love and all their energy and they took to him right away! He was very communicative with me while we were out of town and he did a great job keeping up with my puppy’s medication schedule. She looked so much better when I got back. He was able to control my larger and super strong dog. Brody even went above and beyond and stayed a little longer with them. I felt at peace knowing he had them covered while we were away. Will def book him again!”

About: I have been an animal lover since I can remember! Always the first to volunteer to dog, cat, chicken, bunny, guinea pig, and fish sit :) I currently have a somewhat flexible schedule with the ability to have some play time with new furry friends during lunch & on the weekends! I treat and love any and every animal as if it were my own! I pay great attention to details and would always ensure that your furry friend be safe!

“Kumiko was great with my new rescue adult dog who can be very fearful and cautious of new people especially when we are not around. Kumiko was very patient with Ossie and even played with her after her walks! Would definitely book again when we need help!”

About: I have been a dog owner my whole life and I pet sit regularly for friends and family. I have experience walking, transporting, and caring for dogs of all sizes from over 100 lbs to under 20 lbs and feel comfortable with all breeds. I do have a kitty, however he is used to having dogs in the house and gets along great with most. I work from home when I am not traveling. I occasionally have meetings locally, but usually I am not gone for more than 2 hours. I take my dog for regular walks, and he has lots of play time in my fenced in back yard. Pups are welcome to lounge on the couch for pets or be crated if that is preferred. I am fairly relaxed with rules but try to keep them from jumping up, and they have to sit for treats.

“He did a fantastic job, very pleased with everything. Great communication, punctual, very kind and kept me informed through out the entire experience. I'd definitely recommend him!”

“Rosko loves Louise! She's obviously an animal lover, and she provides appropriate boundaries while letting Rosko explore as he loves to do. She's great at communicating, and punctual. Five wags!”

About: I’m very attuned and sensitive to animal body language. Dogs tend to love me at first sight—and the feeling is mutual. 😂 I’m like the cool auntie who’s always ready to play, but I am also super observant and can see when a dog is tired, overstimulated, cranky, etc. I don’t take animal behavior personally. I just watch and respond. Until the hurricane I was volunteering at Brother Wolf, walking every kind of dog from the super leash-pull-y to the “just want to sit in the shade and never go home.” I have my own business as an editor and copywriter. I make my own schedule and often work from home, so short notice could work IF it’s in the Weaverville/N. Asheville area. With more advance notice, I could clear my schedule or plan it around your pet care needs. As much as I’d love to offer boarding services for dogs, I have a sweet cat at home who would not appreciate this. :) Instead, give me all your intricately detailed instructions, your pet’s weird quirks, and whatever other anxious pet-parent stuff you want me to know. I will hold it all, follow it to the letter, be so sweet to your baby—plus I’ll send you photos to keep you updated. I also like to leave a note when I’m done to let you know how we did. If your lil’ buddy needs more constant companionship, I can bring my work to your place! I don’t even need WiFi, I can hotspot from my phone. 🙌🏽

About: I’ve helped take care of dogs since I was very young, along with having dogs of my own and currently have two dogs at home. I am comfortable with any size and age dog, as long as there is no history of biting! Im currently a pharmacist- my schedule varies and can accommodate different routines. I would love to host your dog and can keep them by themselves or playtime with my dog friendly pup! In a clients home I am comfortable with letting dogs out into a backyard or walking them. I am pretty strong and feel capable of walking even the most excited pups. I have experience with reactive dogs!

About: I have had dogs forever include being the primary caregiver of two Golden’s for many years. I am currently a surgical resident where I am unable to have one of my own with my busy schedule. I have helped many family and friends with their dogs including training, sitting, and boarding. My available days are completely unbooked so can alter things as needed! Looking to spend what time off I do have to get some much needed pet time. I can adapt to any needed environment. Happy to crate or have the dog loose, whatever is their normal schedule. Comfortable with high and low energy needs.

About: Providing excellent and attentive care for your pets is my top priority. I want to give you and your pet peace of mind while you’re away. Currently this is my full time job, so I’m able to dedicate my time to this job. I also have a flexible schedule, so I can tailor to your needs. I spend as much time as possible with your pets, that way they feel comforted and at ease while you’re away. For dogs I am able to go on multiple walks a day and provide play time for them to get all their energy out. For cats, we can play as much as they want to. I also have experience taking cats outside on leashes.

About: I can't remember a time in my life where I wasn't surrounded by animals. When I was growing up, I was a dog person. As I got older, I eventually found myself as a dad to cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and even a hamster! I love pets of all kinds, but have grown to really have a soft spot for cats. My wife and I love to foster kittens and small pets from the humane society. This has allowed me to gain experience with a variety of cat personalities, conditions, and temperaments. I have also gained experience in administering oral and topical medications to cats from my time fostering. I'm currently working from home, so I have lots of availability to check in on your pets. I am available anytime after 8am on weekdays and weekends! Although I can't provide care for your pets in my own home (my cats would protest), I will treat your home with as much care as if it was my own! I prioritize your pet's safety above all else, and am especially cautious of cats who may try to run out of open doors.

“Fabulous & fun!”

About: I have over a decade of experience with pet sitting/dog walking, and an extreme love for dogs of all ages, breeds and abilities. I have also cared for cats and bunnies! I had a senior chihuahua for 3.5 beautiful years with plenty of experience in diaper changes, medication, dietary needs, and surgery recovery. I'm well versed with animals that need a little extra love, attention, and patience but also adore being playful with more active pets (walking, playing fetch, dog parks, etc). I currently live with my partner of 7 years, Nate, and our 4 year old pup, Milo! I do have some experience with training, as we rescued Milo when he was 12 months. I have no issue with getting my hands dirty if your pet needs a bath or a litter box needs to be cleaned! I am currently working as a bartender & part-time Chiropractic Tech with a pretty flexible schedule. My "weekend" is Sunday and Tuesday, but usually only work for about 5-6 hours when I am scheduled. I live in an apartment on the 4th floor, but there is an elevator and the balcony is fenced in. I would also not allow any animals on the balcony unsupervised. Milo is very friendly with all humans and animals - he was raised with our special needs senior chi, Petey, and we never had an incident with him or any other animals. There is a fenced in dog park at our apartment and plenty of space for leashed walks. I am also available to care for your pet(s) in your home!

“Gustavo is awesome! So down to earth and available whenever I need him. Provides great attention to my best friend :) I couldn’t ask for a better dog walker!”

“Sarie went above and beyond with her first walk with Roxy. She took many pictures so I could see their adventure. She played with her and made sure she was well settled upon return to home. I will definitely be having Sarie walk or dog sit Roxy again.”

About: I provide tailored care plans to cater to each dog’s unique needs, with plenty of cuddles, playtime, and personalized attention, so owners can rest assured their furry family members are in the best hands. I’m currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pup! I very athletic and can go on long walks and enjoy nature with your pup. My dog is my best friend, and I would treat your furry friend just how I would want mine to be treated. Creating a safe space is crucial for me !

“Kat is amazing! She is prompt, responsible, communicates well, and is great with my dog. She consistently brings him back well exercised and happy! Highly recommend! I am grateful to have found her and feel pretty lucky—and my dog feels the same!”
