About: I cared for family dogs, cats & horses through childhood & my 20s. Here in Asheville, I've had two dogs (one at a time) for 13 years. I am attuned to safety & health first; then I focus on play/walking to provide fun & exercise for emotional, mental & physical stimulation. In addition to having food, water, shelter & a comfortable temperature, all pets need to feel safe, loved & respected. I am gentle, thorough, attentive, & caring, & I follow all instructions carefully. I have worked with puppies through senior dogs as well as my flighty, 52-lb. 6-yr-old reactive Pit Bull/Cane Corso rescue, whom I walk daily & hike with weekly. I've used the Behavior Adjustment & Doggy Dan training systems with this sweet companion, who had been abused & neglected before I adopted her at 14 months. I have done drop-in visits for friends for 10 yrs. & can give medications orally, in ears & as injections. Before a first service, I do a meet & greet to get to know you & your furry friend & learn about how your canine relates to people, other dogs, cats, squirrels & rabbits. Activiies include playing fetch, tug of war, food puzzles & your pup's favorites. I'm available for drop-ins and dog walking between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Also I'm free between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. I am a fulltime pet care giver. At this time, I do not stay overnight with pets in my home or my clients' homes. Instead, I do 30-minute drop-in visits and 30-minute walks in clients' neighborhoods.

About: I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I had a dachshund and a rottweiler (quite the duo!), and later on I had a bull terrier of my own that I absolutely adored. I also lived with a golden retriever, so I’ve had the joy of caring for all kinds of personalities and energy levels. For the past 10 years, I’ve been the go-to dog sitter and walker for friends and family. They trust me because they know their pups will get more than just the basics, they’ll get love, attention, and plenty of playtime. Whether it’s long walks, belly rubs, or just keeping them company, I make sure every dog feels safe, happy, and cared for like they’re my own. Right now I have full-time availability, which means your pet will get plenty of love and attention throughout the day. Since I’m not balancing another job, I can easily work around your pet’s routine, whether that’s regular walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. In my home, pets have plenty of space to feel comfortable — I live alone in a 3-bedroom house, so there’s lots of room for them to play, explore, or just relax. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I live in a very walkable neighborhood, so I make sure they get plenty of walks and outdoor time. I’m also happy to care for pets in their own home if that’s where they feel most comfortable. Whether at my place or yours, I always make sure they get the attention, exercise, and love they need.

About: Growing up with at least two dogs in my home at any given time, I have gratitude for the joy and companionship pets can bring to a family. I've cared for my senior cat for the past 19 years. She is the love of my life who is now suffering from kidney failure. 😞 While in high school, I spent 4 years in the dog grooming industry. To this day, I am always the first to volunteer to look after pets for my friends and family. I now work at the Western North Carolina Nature Center by day where I train to handle animals during educational programs and support their well-being as "ambassadors" of their species. I have respect and love for all animals! 🩷 I'm also passionate about holistic pet health and cognition, and can accommodate to your pet's special diet protocol or exercise plan. In addition, I have experience giving around-the-clock care for puppies and senior pets and can administer medication when needed. I also offer nail trims and baths for well-behaved pets. Outside of my time spent at the Nature Center, I also work part-time in a hybrid role as an administrative assistant. This allows me the flexibility to meet you and your pets needs. About: I've taken care of dogs since I was five years old. I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.

My flexible schedule allows me to commit a lot of time to pet sitting which i love! I just ask that if dog sitting on weekdays, you have a space where I can set up a laptop with a steady wifi connection. Your animals will be treated like family and with great care! About: We both love animals of all kinds. We have always had pets in our lives and have loved being dog sitters for friends and family over the years. We are currently the proud parents of two wonderful dogs, Honeybee and Charlie. We have experience with special care for senior dogs. Our dog Carlos was blind and deaf for the last few years of his life, and had diabetes, requiring insulin shots every 12 hours. We have some dog training skills and have helped Honeybee on her path, starting as a wild rescue puppy to being the well-behaved young lady that she is now. We believe in positive reinforcement training and understand dog behavior enough to know when to step in and intervene. I (Ethan) am currently working a very flexible schedule of driving for Uber and Lyft. My schedule allows me to be home often and to stop by and check on Charlie and Honeybee and any visiting dogs frequently when I am working. If we have doggy daycare clients I am able to stay home all day. Hope is around on evenings and weekends and is always ready for playtime and snuggles with the pups. I am currently sharing residence with my partner Hope (who loves dogs as much as I do!) and she shares in the care of all the dogs. We have a large, fenced-in yard in the heart of West Asheville. We won’t leave your dogs outdoors unattended and will respect any special requirements as to the safety of your beloved babies. We understand the need for routine in a dog's life and will be happy to abide by whatever feeding/medication schedule, exercise needs, etc. that your dog has.
