I am very in tune with cats and dogs. I am Also very patient with walks. My Pekingese will sniff EVERY blade of grass and that’s ok. Safety is a priority. Your cats will not get out on my watch. Your dogs will always be leashed. Water available for them on walks when it’s hot. I am retired and I have all the time in the world. My Husband and I take care of our pets so I am available. I will enter your home with softness and will read your pet. Making sure they feel safe with me. Your cats will have high respect for petting. Some love it and some hate it. I will clean mess that could happen. And make sure your pet feels secure and loved. I’m the one you have to worry about leaving them. Whah! I know ur pets miss their parents and they might feel out of sorts. I’ll make sure they get some play in too.

Dogs have been a central part of my life since early childhood, and that lifelong passion continues today with our own beloved resident dogs. We understand dog behavior, respect their individual routines, and treat every guest like a member of the family. Whether your dog loves to run wide-open spaces or just wants to sniff the mountain air and lounge on the porch, they will find their perfect rhythm here. Working primarily from home allows me to provide attentive, full-time care and regular outdoor exercise. I can host overnight (Short or Long term) boarding seamlessly as long as owners provide their dog's personal items and necessary accommodations, allowing your pup to enjoy a safe, country retreat with all the comforts of home. They will have access to 2 separate fenced in areas, one with a doggie door. Your dog can be crated or not and are welcome on the furniture with our dogs. Ours sleep in an x-pen together but your dog can sleep where ever it prefers. I want them to be comfortable like it is their own home.

We live on a quiet cul-de-sac in a safe, very walkable neighborhood with a large yard. While our yard is not currently fenced, dogs are always supervised and leashed outdoors, and I’m very comfortable with leash walking and safely managing dogs outside. We have a young, friendly Lab who loves other dogs and four dog-savvy cats who are accustomed to sharing their home with a pup. Our home is also thoroughly puppy and toddler-proofed, and everyone in our household understands the importance of respecting a dog’s space, body language, boundaries, and individual personality. I’m big on maintaining consistency between your home and ours. If your dog is crate trained or currently learning we’re happy to continue their normal routine. The same goes for potty training, basic commands, feeding schedules, special diets, and any house rules you’re working on. Dogs can be fed separately to ensure everyone eats their own food, and we have an extra crate available or are happy to use your dog’s own crate if that makes them more comfortable. I love providing enrichment beyond simply letting dogs hang out! Depending on your pup, that might include sniff walks, Kongs, lick mats, snuffle mats, sprinkler or kiddie-pool play in the yard, fetch, or supervised creek adventures. With your permission, well-suited pups can also join us for dog-friendly walking trails or an occasional brewery outing. If your dog is happiest staying close to home, we’re just as happy to keep their world quiet and familiar.
