All I can say is that I didn’t know Georgie could possibly be more spoiled than he already was but he is and that is a good thing! Made the entire trip away perfect knowing he was being so loved. Anyone who adores their dog and considers them their baby and not just a pet, do not hesitate to trust Toni to care for them.

Kristin and her son were amazing with Jesse. He did so well with them and had so much fun in their huge yard with other dogs to play with. She gave updates on how he was doing with cute and funny pictures. I would definitely recommend her and would love to have her dogsit Jesse for me again.

Thank you Jen for taking such great care of my pup! I could tell Pippa was instantly drawn to you during the meet and greet (which doesn’t happen with just anyone.) Through daily updates and photos, Pippa looked relaxed, happy, and most of all LOVED. I would definitely recommend Jen to anyone!

We couldn’t be happier to have found Alyssa and Bryan to love on our two doodle boys while we were away! From the moment they arrived, our pups were showered with so much care and affection. Daily hikes, endless ball throwing, and constant cuddles. Alyssa sent the best photo updates throughout their stay, which completely put us at ease and showed just how much fun our boys were having. When it was time to come home, our pups were actually sad to leave! The energy in their home and on their beautiful property is warm and welcoming, and Alyssa and Bryan are simply the most wonderful, loving people. We feel so lucky to have them to watch our boys!

Nancy took excellent care of our pup, Lily. We had back to back trips and Lily was incredibly excited when we arrived for her second visit! She clearly enjoyed her time and couldn’t wait to be back with the crew! She rushed off to see her friends. It gave me such peace of mind. Thank you, Nancy, for taking such amazing care of her!

About: I have had dogs, cats, birds, and much more animals my entire life. I love taking care of animals and have done it for friends and family for years. I’m very active and love walks and runs! I have 3 animals of my own including 2 dogs and a cat. I have taken care of baby, Senior, adult, healthy, and sick animals. I’m an animal lover and love meeting new people and animals. I have a lot of knowledge with animals for the simple fact that I have been around 100’s my entire life, from saving strays to having pets. I live in Weaverville and would love to help out with taking care of your pet or pets! I work all day but could be flexible. Im a personal trainer, my hours are 4am-2/3pm. I am available with at least a week notice. I can help on M-F and weekends with drop ins and walks. I have a yard as well as 2 friendly playful dogs. I have crates as well as separated floors that are gated off in my home that always help.

Toby had a great weekend with Ali and Penny. Ali took great care of him, gave frequent updates, and went above and beyond in her flexibility and taking care of our boy. Will definitely be asking her to watch Toby again next time I need a sitter.

About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, two sassy cats, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.

I can’t say enough good about Melody. We would leave Gaia in her care any time. If she lived close to us and we were going away for a month, we would leave Gaia in her care and feel 100% secure. She has a lovely environment for a dog ( or a human), made our dog feel instantly comfortable, and showed her a really good time.

We left our two fairly high maintenance pups with Robin for a long weekend and she was wonderful! Very communicative and sent us lots of updates. She even was super flexible when we needed her to keep them one extra night due to plane delays. Winston is a lovely little guy too ;) Definitely would recommend her for taking care of your fur babies. Thanks Robin!! :)

About: Hi! I live in North Asheville with my 5 year old daughter, husband, and our friendly Maltese/Shih Tzu mix Bradbury (he's 5). We love all animals, especially dogs. I work from home and we have a great space for a dog to be happy in. Big backyard. Very dog-friendly house. Me and my husband have years of experience taking care of dogs, as we were both raised in families with dogs and have had dogs of our own over the years. I work from home so have plenty of flexibility to take care of your pup! I'm also on a schedule with my dog (feeding, lots of outside time, playtime) so am familiar with the kind of routine that is healthy for dogs to have. I have a fenced yard and a lovable Maltese/Shih Tzu dog for your dog to play with. If your dog prefers a crate or needs their own space, I've got space at my house to make that happen.

Ethan and hope were absolutely incredible with jack! He is elderly and has some special needs and they catered to his needs above and beyond. This was my first time leaving him with a sitter other than my parents and I had full trust in them. I will definitely use them again!

Carlina did a great job with our dog, Maddy. She checked in and sent pics. I really appreciated that it was just our dog and Carolina’s dog there - I think too many make it a stressful stay. Maddy said she was a 10/10, bed and treats were great.

There are 358 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Barnardsville. About 94% of Barnardsville sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
