About: Hi, I’m Maddy! I’ve been around animals my entire life. I grew up with dogs and cats and have cared for my own pets throughout adulthood, including German Shepherds for the past 10 years. I live with my German Shepherd and two indoor cats, who are very much my babies, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone else, and I’ll care for them with that same level of love and attention. Horses were also a huge part of my childhood. I had my own horse growing up and cared for horses from fifth grade through high school, so I’m very comfortable around larger animals. I especially love big dogs and am comfortable with large or intimidating breeds. I own my home, which sits on an acre of land with a large, fenced backyard. There are no shared walls or homes stacked around us, so dogs staying with me have a private, peaceful space with plenty of room to play, sniff, and relax. I also work for myself, which gives me a completely flexible schedule and allows me to spend a lot of time at home with your pets. My goal is for your pets to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely at home while they’re here. About: Hi, I am a compassionate and dependable recent retiree. My two senior dogs passed away in the past 6 months and I am without any fur-babies for the first time in decades. I am honored to spend quality time with your loved one so you can have a worry-free vacation and I can have some doggy/kitty time! I am newly retired and have plenty of free time. I do have community activities out but they do not dominate my day. I spend my time focused on creativity (working on art and music projects) at home. So your pup will have company pretty much all day whether you are boarding with me or I am housesitting for you. I am very active and have a daily exercise and yoga routine and my home is a healthy and veg-friendly household. I'll gladly walk your dog to the level he/she is used to (if it's hot I will walk early morning and/or evenings). My intention is to have your baby feel loved and safe with lots of attention and play and by sticking to the routine as you dictate. I am very tidy/neat and respectful of your home. I'm happy to water your plants etc. If boarding in my home, I am here most of the time. My husb and I Iive in a house with a big fenced in yard so there is plenty of room for your pup to do his or her business and run around and chase a toy. The neighborhood is very walkable and dog-friendly. I can also take your dog in the car to favorite walks (with your permission). If boarding in my home, I request that your dog is 100% house-trained and has good social skills/manners as well as being comfortable with having their own bed to sleep in.
