“Our dog Mint came to us as an adult rescue with a tender heart and big separation anxiety. She trembles and cries to ride in a car, uncertain where she’s being taken. On her third visit with Brody, as soon as we turned into his driveway she quieted and started wagging. As I drove away, the rearview mirror showed her dancing around his legs and eagerly running to his front door. Priceless peace of mind!”

“My sweet 8 mo old golden retriever, Cedar, had two big days of fun doing daycare at Laird’s home Saturday and Sunday! Beautiful fenced in backyard with lots of room for the pups to play! Cedar came home happy and sleepy. Loved the great communication and photos and videos throughout the day of Cedar living his best life.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 16. I also grew up with 4 medium sized dogs at a time. I have always had a love for animals and love to meet other fur babies. I have been able to follow feeding instructions and if needed have followed giving medications. Just a heads up I will not be accepting bookings from June on until I am sure where I will be after college. I’m currently a senior in college with only 2 classes and 2 labs, so I will have a lot of time to spend with your pups! I have a small, fenced yard and I have one yellow lab at home that is very dog friendly. I will follow up with you anytime I arrive at your house and will provide a recap of my time with your animal. I will follow all instructions given to me ahead of time to ensure you receive the best care for your furry friend. I will treat them as if they were my own and spend so much time ensuring they enjoy there time with me!
“Miranda was very kind and understanding about my rescue dog Sable having separation anxiety. Sable loved the yard and the opportunity to meet another dog friend. She was clearly comfortable with Miranda and calm during her daytime stay. We will definitely book her again in the future!”

About: I have more than 10 years of experience working with dogs of all shapes, sizes and temperaments. I have interned under licensed veterinarians, volunteered with countless animal rescue groups, was employed as a shelter manager for a no-kill animal shelter, and have worked at two different doggy daycare centers. I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and have completely fallen in love with the problem-solving aspects of dog training and how it allows me to help owners and their pets live happier, less frustrating, lives together! I do have a full time job and an adolescent Border Collie, but am available for overnight stays in your home or in mine and will give all my extra time and attention to your pup during my stay! My goal is for your dog to hardly miss you while you are gone and to keep their routine as close to normal as possible during your absence. I do currently have my own dog, Dash, who sometimes accompanied me on my overnight stays if your dog wants a playmate! I have been fostering dogs through local rescue groups and animal shelters for several years and have become accustomed to many different kinds of dogs in that time. Why I love dog sitting... I've loved dogs all my life! I got my first dog when I was 6, a black lab named Holly, and a Bichon Frise, Dixie, the dog who was considered by every member of my family to really be "mine" when I was 9. The years when I was in college and away from my dogs was hard and as soon as I moved out on my own, but couldn't yet afford my own dog, I started pet-sitting and dog walking for friends and neighbors. Since then, I have longed to have a dog in my house at all times, but wasn’t immediately financially ready for my own forever dog. So I have been volunteering at a couple of local animal shelters as a Foster Mom for dogs in need of a temporary home, and a little extra TLC, before they are adopted into their forever homes! As a professional dog trainer, I get to make my own schedule, which provides immense flexibility for walking dogs and doing drop in visits for pet care!! I have a fenced in yard and a dog who loves to play! Dash, our Border Collie, often comes with me to overnight stays. When I come to your house to visit your pets, I’m always sure to leave the key where I found it and be sure the house is secured before I leave.
“Alyssa and Bryan took such great care of our two girls and they have come back happy and tired both times we’ve sent them! They kept us updated with photos and letting us know what they had been up to. They asked a lot of thoughtful questions about Zoe and Riley and I’m very happy to have found them to take care of my crew. They have a great space and yard for the dogs to play and explore, which was a big draw for me. Will definitely book them again!”

“Janet was absolutely amazing with my dog Boden! He sometimes struggles with separation anxiety, but Janet was able to make him feel so comfortable that he was actually excited to go back to her house for daycare after just one day! Not only did she take great care of him, but she was also fantastic at communicating with me throughout the day, keeping me updated on how Boden was doing. She took him on walks and even to the dog park, which he absolutely loved! Plus, he had the best time playing with her dogs too! I cannot recommend Janet enough - she is truly a wonderful dog caregiver.”

“Doggy daycare (while on vacation) was a success! Our boys Sunny and Cooper got to spend the whole day with Lindsey’s fam and it was a super easy drop off / pick up right near town. If visiting Black Mountain, definitely recommend Lindsey!”

About: **About me & my home** Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — they are simply woven into who I am. I hold an associate's degree in pre-veterinary medicine and have volunteered alongside veterinarians, which gave me hands-on clinical experience and a deeper understanding of animal health and behavior. I have spent a lifetime learning what truly makes dogs tick, and it shows in how I care for them. I live with my husband and our Boston Terrier, **Leo** — just the three of us. We are a quiet, dog-loving household with no children or other pets, which means your dog will enjoy a calm, attentive environment from the moment they arrive. Leo is charming, friendly, and absolutely loves meeting new dogs and playing. My husband and I are both devoted dog lovers, so your pup will never be short on affection. I am currently not working, which means I am home all day, every day — your dog will have my complete, undivided attention around the clock. No rushing off to an office, no leaving your pup alone. Just full-time, devoted care. I am also a photographer, so expect an abundance of beautiful, candid photos and videos of your dog throughout their stay — memories you'll want to keep forever. **My approach: quality over quantity, always** I accept one family at a time — this is intentional and non-negotiable. Your dog deserves undivided attention, not a crowded boarding environment. Families with two dogs are warmly welcome; that is the perfect arrangement. Your pets will be treated like family: long walks on beautiful forested trails right from my door, plenty of love, proper nutrition, and full-time human companionship every single day. **Good to know before booking** - I do not accept aggressive dogs under any circumstances. - I do not accept females in heat. - Please bathe your dog before arrival — I have allergies, and a fresh coat makes a meaningful difference. Bathing on arrival is available for an additional fee. - Please bring: crate, bed, bowls, leash, favorite toys, and any medications. - Medication administration fee: 1 medication once/day $3 · twice/day $5 | 2 medications once/day $5 · twice/day $10. - Tell me everything — quirks, anxieties, funny habits, challenging behaviors. I've heard and seen it all, and I never judge. The more you share, the better I can care for your loved one. - Not a good fit for very large or extremely powerful dogs that require exceptional physical strength to handle safely on a leash. **Other pets I can care for:** Turtles · Hamsters · Guinea pigs · Bunnies · Fish · Birds NEW CLIENTS: $20 of your first booking when you use this link to book: https://www.rover.com/sit/linao I am all day at home, doggies will have me around pretty much all the time; except when I go out to run an errand. I provide walks with the leash always I pay attention to their behaviors to be able to read their needs Love and structure, a mixture that always works with furbabies
“Teresa was amazing with our GiGi! We were in from out of town and wanted to spend the day at the Biltmore. Teresa watched GiGi for the day. She was very flexible with our timing needs. She kept us updated with pictures of our dog during the day. We would definitely have Teresa watch our gig again!”

“We were from out of town , camping, and visiting Biltmore. We needed someone to watch our standard Poodle for the day. We booked with Kinsey and it couldn’t have been better. We had issues with our camper and had to reschedule. She was so understanding. We did a pre visit and our boy fell in love! We were able to drop him off and feel so confident that he would have a wonderful day! Will definitely use again if in the area.”

About: I can board small dogs at our house, and I can sit large and small dogs and horses, chickens and just about any other animals at your house. (We just built a new house with hardwood floors and no fenced yard!) I have loved and trained dogs, cats, and horses since I was a young child. I love and respect all animals, and I get along with most of them right from the get-go. I am retired, healthy, and like to get out and about. I do expect pets to behave, and have the utmost respect for the boundaries you have set for your pet. Some years back, I trained our brown mutt family pet to play the role of Sandy in the HS performance of Annie. She brought the house down at curtain bow! I believe in training animals by showing them respect and being very clear about what it is I am asking of them. So let's go! I want to meet your dog!

About: I have been surrounded by pets my whole life. Growing up, we always had dogs, cats, and birds. When I moved to the U.S, I lived in the country side with many dogs and thousand of birds (literally). Now, I have a little Chihuahua mix; he is like my baby. I also help my friends sitting their dogs when they are out of town. I love animals; I like to play with them and give them a lot of attention. I have experience administering medication to pets either orally or injectable . I am educated and trustful person who will respect your home and your pets. I am able to pass a background check if it is required. I have a cellphone and my own car. My husband and I both work from home, so your dog will never be left alone. Our jobs are very flexible, which means we can take your dog for walks during the day. I have a very friendly old Chihuahua. My house is big, comfy and very clean. It's at the end of a cul-de-sac, so there's no traffic.
About: I grew up with feisty terriers, and now have a high energy Dalmatian. I’m up for the task! It’s a pleasure to play hard, and get them tuckered out for cuddle time. By spending time with our Dalmatian, high energy pups will meet their match and older dogs will tap into their youth. Looking forward to it! I work from home, and already have dog-care built into my routine. Our fenced in yard makes it easy for them to run-around. Daily walks around the block. We have a fenced in yard, great for them to run free. We’ve got dog beds, fun toys and lots of fresh water always available.
“Golda took great care of Maggie while my husband and I went on a hike in the Great Smoky Mountains NP (no dogs allowed)😢. Maggie was smiling when we picked her up and it looked like she had a great time!”
