About: Have always had lots of animals growing up and as an adult. Animals seem to feel comfortable around me. I enjoy their presence and will give them lots of love. I have a fairly open schedule. I work part time as a CNA. Live in a rural area but can travel to surrounding cities if needed. We have hosted dogs in our home, outside in our yard or have gone to their home. Available for walks. Also have an outdoor kennel if your dog is not friendly.

About: Hi, I am a compassionate and dependable recent retiree. My two senior dogs passed away in the past 6 months and I am without any fur-babies for the first time in decades. I am honored to spend quality time with your loved one so you can have a worry-free vacation and I can have some doggy/kitty time! I am newly retired and have plenty of free time. I do have some community activities but I spend most of my time working on projects at home. So your pup will have company pretty much all day whether you are boarding with me or I am housesitting for you. I am a very active senior and have a daily exercise and yoga routine and my home is a healthy and veg-friendly household. I'll gladly walk your dog to the level he/she is used to (if it's hot I will walk early morning and/or evenings). My intention is to have your baby feel loved and safe with lots of attention and play and by sticking to the routine as you dictate. I am very tidy/neat and respectful of your home. I'm happy to water your plants etc. If boarding in my home, my husb and I Iive in a house with a big fenced in yard so there is plenty of room for your pup to do his or her business and run around and chase a toy. The neighborhood is very walkable and dog-friendly. I can also take your dog in the car to favorite walks (with your permission). I request that your dog is 100% house-trained and has good social skills/manners as well as being comfortable with having their own bed to sleep in.

About: I’ve had animals my entire life and have been involved in animal rescue for the past 10 years. I currently foster with Mountain Pet Rescue and the Asheville Humane Society, and I’ve cared for animals with all kinds of personalities, backgrounds, and needs. I’m comfortable with dogs and cats and I also have experience administering medications. Rescue work has taught me how to be patient with animals who are shy, anxious, energetic, or just need a little extra time and attention. More than anything, I genuinely love being around animals and really enjoy caring for them. When your pet is with me, they’ll be treated like the little prince or princess they are...with lots of love, attention, cuddles, playtime, and care tailored to what makes them happiest. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re being loved and cared for while you’re away. I work remotely from home, so I’m around throughout the day and have a lot of flexibility to give pets the attention they need. I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, meals, medication, and plenty of company throughout the day. Because I’m home most of the time, your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches and I can easily adjust to their normal routine as much as possible. I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, boundaries, feeding schedule, medications, and any quirks or triggers before caring for them. In my home, pets get plenty of supervision, attention, and a calm environment where they can settle in at their own pace. I never force interactions and am very comfortable giving shy or nervous animals the space they need to feel secure. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible and make sure doors, gates, leashes, food, and medications are handled carefully. My years in rescue have made me especially attentive to body language and changes in behavior, so I’m always keeping an eye on how your pet is feeling. And of course, I’m happy to send plenty of photos and updates so you can relax knowing your furbaby is safe, happy, and getting lots of love.

About: I genuinely love animals, and spending time with them never feels like work to me. I’m an active person who loves walks and playtime with energetic pups, but I’m equally happy giving a cat some quiet company and affection or simply respecting the space of a pet who prefers to do their own thing. I primarily work as a gigging musician on weekends, so I tend to keep most of my bookings to weekdays. If I’m available for weekend boarding, my husband is also home and helps with pet care, so your pup will still have plenty of company and attention. My Rover calendar will always reflect my current availability! We have a spacious home with plenty of room for pets to relax and play, including a puppy-proofed area where dogs can safely hang out and make themselves at home. We also have a large yard that is currently unfenced, so dogs are always supervised and leashed outside. We’re having a fence installed soon! Our sweet, social Golden Retriever puppy, Daisy, loves other dogs and would be thrilled to welcome a friendly pup for a stay and playdate. We live on a quiet little street that’s great for walks, and I’m also happy to load up the pups for longer adventures at nearby parks, greenways, and trails. About: I've been around dogs since I was little and I've watched a few dogs in Asheville and taken them on walks and we always have a great time. I'm a musician, so I'm home full time and i have a flexible schedule and plenty of space to play with and walk a dog. My home is a very calm environment, and we have a nice outdoor space. The neighbors have dogs so there could be opportunities to play with other dogs if that's something they're into. If I was at your house it would be pretty much the same, I would of course be attentive and careful and I would treat your things like they were mine.

Her experience working with dogs was important also. Ivey has separation anxiety and Jackie’s calming voice helped her acclimate. Plus the wonderful view and deck was added plus for Ivey’s entertainment. Jackie is an excellent communicator. Highly recommend her!!!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a little girl. Friends and neighbors have relied on me to take good care of theirs pets in different ways. Depending on the circumstances, I taken care of dogs at my house where they can run and play in our big fenced yard. Other times, I’ve stayed at friend’s house to keep their dog comfortable in his own home. Lastly, I’ve helped by stopping by and checking on pets few times a day or as needed. I work remotely with a flexible schedule during the week, and most Fridays off giving me plenty of free time to help you with your pet. I have a big fenced yard where the dogs can run free and safe when they need fresh air, and a big comfy space indoors perfect to take naps and keep me company while I work.

About: I grew up with several pets including dogs, cats, and exotic birds and have a 6 month old blue heeler of my own. I have amateur dog training experience and by request, I can support your dog's training needs while I am looking out for them. No charge! I will make sure your fur baby receives love as though they are my own. They’ll get lots of playtime, walks and I’ll will send photo updates of how they’re doing. I currently work full time from home so it is very easy for me to be attentive and look after your furry loved one in addition to my own 6 month old blue heeler who is very sweet and friendly with other dogs. I work from home Monday through Friday during the day and this leaves a lot of flexibility to go on walks and play together on the trails right on the 10 acres of wooded land. My home is tucked away in a safe location with a lot of space away from busy roads. I live on 10 acres of wooded land and several trails that loop the entire property that allows for a lot of sniffing opportunities, playtime in nature, and staying in a safe environment throughout the day.

About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was a small child. I have owned two dogs of my own and trained each of them. I have a flexible schedule to meet any needs you may have for your furry friend. I’ve been a registered nurse for 25+ and am taking a hiatus from nursing to heal from a traumatic assault. I have found pet care to be the most healing. Waking in the outdoors with pets has helped me a great deal. I do have a dachshund puppy that would need to accompany me if house sitting. He does not have to come for drop in visits or walking services. I am currently available with an open schedule and can accommodate most any needs. I live alone and can devote all of my attention to your pet. If your pet is in my home, they will be just like family, typically sitting with me. I have a dog park near by for off leash adventures and lots of room for leash walking. When in your home, I’d mirror a similar routine with your pet that you have for day to day.
