If you live within 10 minutes of West Asheville I am able to provide bathroom breaks every 4 hours. If you live further out, I can provide breaks every 8 hours. I have a decent amount of flexibility in my schedule and I have no pets of my own, so all of my attention can be on your fur babies!! I can’t currently offer boarding in my home as my roommate has a dog, but I am happy to come to your house. If needed, I can provide plant care during my stay, and will ensure you come home to a clean house and happy animals.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was five years old. I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.

I have experience with dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, rabbits, etc. I have volunteered with several pet rescues and I also foster dogs and cats sometimes. I have experience giving medications. I’m very careful about doors, gates, leashes, wildlife, etc and how to keep your pet safe and not get loose. I also work as a mental health therapist and I’m home frequently doing video sessions so I’m around a lot. I also have experience in animal assisted therapy. My only request is that your animal is dog friendly especially since I have a little senior dog. I work from home most of the time so I’m around a lot. Because I do video sessions as a mental health therapist it is helpful if your animal doesn’t bark a ton for no reason. lol. In my home & yours I prioritize their comfort with feeding schedule, walks or hikes if desired, crate if preferred (sleeping, etc/safe space) , and safety.

“Bradly did a great job watching our two dogs while we were out of town for a few days. We had him drop in 3 times a day. He arrived promptly at the designated times, fed, walked and played with our pups. He is very kind and responsive giving us comfort that they were getting the attention they need. Our English Springer Spaniel is full of energy and Brad was able to give him the play time fetching sticks to burn off some of his energy. We live on a few acres so having someone that is also active was important to us. We trusted Bradly with our home and pets and would definitely use him again.”
