“Thank you Jen for taking such great care of my pup! I could tell Pippa was instantly drawn to you during the meet and greet (which doesn’t happen with just anyone.) Through daily updates and photos, Pippa looked relaxed, happy, and most of all LOVED. I would definitely recommend Jen to anyone!”

“Jessica and John are wonderful hosts. Plenty of updates to see that the pups are well taken care of and loved by them and their children. We highly recommend their pet sitting services.”

“Toby had a great weekend with Ali and Penny. Ali took great care of him, gave frequent updates, and went above and beyond in her flexibility and taking care of our boy. Will definitely be asking her to watch Toby again next time I need a sitter.”

About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, two sassy cats, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my daily schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.

“Linda is friendly and knowledgeable. She has a beautiful home and a nice sized fenced in back yard. Missy enjoyed her stay and we will definitely have her stay with Linda again next time we need a care giver for her.”

“Hope and her family are animal lovers and it shows. They were flexible about drop off and pickup times and weren't offended when I asked for a meet and greet before leaving our dog.”

“Golda and her husband were great hosts for our dog Ringo. Ringo usually gets a little nervious staying away from us but it was clear when we picked him up that he was very comfortable with their family, children and a few other dogs in the big fenced yard to play in. We will definitely use Golda again!”

“Laird was stellar home away from home for our fur baby! Her beautiful, secure back yard was perfect for lots of carefree romping and running and he was showered with TLC by the whole family! Franklin is already planning his next visit! Thanks Laird!!”

“Breann makes the process of booking very smooth and easy by being responsive and flexible. You can tell that she has a great deal of experience caring for pets. Autumn had a great time with her and we hope to continue booking with Breann.”

“Miranda is such a great communicator! We will definitely use her again. Oakley definitely had the greatest time and she came back super tired (which is an amazing thing to give us a little break when we got back lol) we just had moved here and found it difficult to find somewhere to board her but luckily we found Miranda on here. Thank you a million times!”

“Carlina was fantastic with Coco! She kept us updated throughout the stay with lots of pictures and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. Coco got along so well with Carlina's dog and seemed to have a wonderful time. Carlina gave her plenty of snuggles, treats, and attention, and it was clear that Coco was very well cared for. We could tell she was happy, comfortable, and loved while we were away. We would absolutely book with Carlina again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter! 🐾❤️”

“Boomer had the best time while staying with KaLynn. She sent lots of pictures showing all of Boomer's buddies during his stay, and KaLynn even had a birthday party for one of dogs. This is Boomer's second time of being with KaLynn, and I plan on sticking with her in the future!”

“Sophie had a great time with Alexis and Addy! I got pictures and updates from Alexis daily on how Sophie was doing which was such a relief for me. Sophie seemed very relaxed and at home during her stay and I will definitely book her again! Wag on?”

About: I have always grown up with animals and have been a dependable fur-baby sitter! I watch my neighbors animals, (even fish) have stayed overnight in homes to watch animals. I am also comfortable with senior/puppy care as well as bath time & feeding routines. I am currently full time with my career & do petsitting on the side. I usually have flexible availability in my schedule & can be needed for last minutes as well! Im currently available for M-Fri (times can vary so we can discuss further for each booking to see if it’s a good fit!) If you need weekend availability please let me know & I am usually available! I can also provide a work schedule so we can figure out the perfect time for me to watch your animal! (If you are looking for a boarding service) I have 2 VERY friendly puppies (they are large, pit-bull & great dane) & 2 friendly cats who will offer company to your fur baby if they are well behaved with other cats/dogs! If they prefer to be alone, I can watch them in the comfort of your home! We have plenty of yard space & plenty of activities & toys to play with if you choose to board them with me. We have my dogs on an invisible fence at this time, so our yard is not completely fenced in.
“Amy and her 8 Year old daughter were so loving and entertaining for our two dogs, Arlo and Otis. Both of our dogs love long walks and lots of love and enjoyed their stay with Amy and CeCe. We had a meet and greet a few days before we dropped the boys off and both dogs liked Amy and her daughter right away. Amy has a wonderful fenced in yard and close to town for great options for dog walks. We will definitely use her again on our next trip out of town.”

Lindsay’s boarding was awesome for us! She was super responsive to our out of town questions and she sent us updates and photos of Gabby during her stay. Gabby has several daily meds and there were no issues handling that. Lindsay’s dogs welcomed their guest and all got along. We travel to the area often and would use Lindsay again and 100% recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
