I believe attention and routine are important for pets and strive to give them as much time as possible while also sticking with their regular routines for walking, feeding, training, etc.

About: I grew up with dogs as family pets and have always considered myself a “dog person.” My family had a sheepdog, a black lab, and a Scottish sheepdog, which helped shape my lifelong love for animals. About 30 years ago, I met my wife, a true cat person through and through, and over time I happily transitioned into becoming a devoted cat lover as well. Over the years, my wife and I have shared life with three cats, even taking them on leash walks around the neighborhood—yes, I am proudly that person now. Bella, my 18-year-old super senior cat, just lost her struggle with kidney disease and we miss her dearly. My wife and I spoil our animals all the time. Our cats have always been like children to us and the bonds we build with our animals over the years have been deeply meaningful. I believe animals teach unconditional love, friendship, and have a beautiful way of offering comfort exactly when it’s needed most. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have spent years looking after neighbors’ chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, hamsters, and even a rat! After 13 years of teaching English at a nearby Early College, I recently retired from education and am excited to begin this new chapter with Rover. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. When I am not caring for animals, I run a professional mountain biking guide service in Asheville called Pisgah Mountain Bike Adventures. With more than 40 years of passion for mountain biking, being outdoors and in the mountains is where I feel most at home. I also run an Airbnb in our finished basement and I am currently writing a memoir. I am excited to be part of the Rover team and I look forward to caring for your dog, cat, or other beloved pet with the same level of attentiveness and heart that I have given to everything in my life. I am available 7 days a week for dog walks, overnight care, drop in visits, pet transport and housesitting. I am pet first aide and CPR certified and ready to help care for your fur babies anytime. About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, two sassy cats, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.

About: My style is very gentle, understanding, and affectionate, though I am also very clear with boundaries and behaviors. I was a foster parent for Lap Dog Rescue of New Mexico for three years. I have special experience with pregnant dogs and cats, newborns, and I have a big soft spot for senior pets. I am an avid hiker and walker, so your babies will get plenty of exercise! I am a retired childbirth educator, doula, and Hypnotherapist. I am blessed to have my days to myself and am home all day except for errands and hikes. We live in Sun City, Georgetown, Texas. Since I'm retired, my schedule is wide open. Lana, my partner, works full time from home. Our two little 5 year old poodle mixes are used to welcoming and entertaining new furry friends, since they have "fostered" many dogs over the years.

About: I’ve had and cared for dogs and cats my entire life. My neighbors call on me as they know how much I love their pets as my own. I have experience with training and had an Australian Labradoodle as well as cat. I am not quite ready to get a new dog but would love to spend time with some furry friends with my current flexibility! I work from home, my husband works a lot and my 16 year old is busy being a teenager. I’m very flexible and can do doggy walks, overnights stays and even host dogs at my house. I have no current pets. I have a fenced in yard and a great neighborhood for walking dogs! Working from home allows plenty of time for extra snuggles and playing.

I'm a licensed veterinary medical technician and have experience in General Practice, Emergency/ICU, Exotics, and Research. I'm a single mom with an 8 year old daughter, 2 dogs, and 3 cats at home. I understand the importance of maintaining a consistent schedule for your pets both for their mental and physical health. I love building relationships with different animals and I can't wait to meet yours! I currently work full-time as a vet tech, but am able to do drop-ins before and after my shifts. I'm also available for more drop-ins during the weekend. My goal is for you and your pet to feel as comfortable as possible. I understand having someone come into your house can be stressful for both yourself and your pets. Communication is key and knowing what to expect can make this process go smoothly. Also, patience and taking it slow can help calm a pet's anxiety which is always my goal. Once your pet is comfortable with me, basic care such as feeding, taking outside, giving medications, etc. is just the minimum. The human-animal bond is important and playing with them and spending time with them only increases that bond. Whether your pet enjoys playing fetch, frisbee, or whatever, those things are great for your pet.
