5. Richard D.
About: I've always been a dog lover. I've had at least one dog since the early 80s. Currently I have three dogs in the home and treat them as children. I have fostered for Mountain Pet Rescue and volunteer for the humane society. I take care of friends' and family members' pets as well. I will welcome your dog as one of my own. I work from home and currently have three dogs who welcome other dogs as part of the pack right away. I have a fenced-in backyard and they go out multiple times a day. I have plenty of time to devote to your dog including walks, specialized feeding schedule and any other needs your pet might require, including medication administration and even bathing. Safety is priority one. My fenced-in backyard is locked to prevent the gate from being opened. Dogs are never left unsupervised in the yard. If I need to leave for any reason, the dogs are crated or left in a safe space and they're never left alone for more than an hour at a time.
6. Charlene K.
“Charlene is an amazing pet sitter. My dog, Sadie, absolutely loves her! She takes such good care of my puppy love. Plenty of walks, trips to the dog park, swims in the creek, treats and belly rubs. You can't ask for a better sitter.”
7. Julie W.
About: I am huge pet lover and throughly enjoy my drop in visits with animals. It’s an honor to have the opportunity to spend time with your pets. I have a flexible schedule and I am looking forward to speaking more about your needs. I work remotely so my schedule is pretty flexible. I generally do home visits first thing in the morning and in the evenings. I am happy to walk pets as well. I have a fenced in backyard but it isn’t super high if your dog is a jumper. I am a remote worker so I can walk/watch the dogs for bathroom breaks as well.
8. Thomas W.
“Very pleased with Thomas, this was my first time using Rover and I found the perfect person to handle my dog! He did everything right, followed through on his end, communicated updates, and I felt assured my dog was in good hands. Thomas is reliable, trustworthy, provided great care, and I will absolutely be using his services again!”
9. Christine D.
“Christine is great with our dog Daisy Mae. She has a great calming energy about her which is exactly what my sometimes hyper pooch needs. Definitely recommend!”
10. Susan E.
“We were so incredibly fortunate that Susan chose to answer our advert as she was absolutely brilliant! I was quite anxious about leaving our rescue Pointer but when we returned Berti was happy, calm and had clearly been very well looked after and very much loved. Susan sent me regular updates and photos of Berti and the garden ; Berti can, on occasions, be reactive with certain dogs but Susan took this in her stride and calmly helped her through these tricky moments. Not only did Susan do a wonderful job with Berti and the garden she also kept the house clean and tidy and made a delicious lasagna and carrot cake for the day of our return. I was delighted that Susan was able to stay for a couple of days before moving on to her next house sit as she is an incredibly warm, engaging and friendly person - exactly the sort of trustworthy and reliable person to look after your house and beloved dog!! If you are looking for a conscientious, calm and resourceful house and pet sitter with excellent communication skills then we highly recommend Susan as a first choice.”
11. Leslie A.
“Our dogs are best friends and they take good care of my Sophie whenever I leave town! They love to go on walks together. We love Leslie!”
12. Caitlin M.
“Caitlin is wonderful! She took very good care of my boy- she’s easy to communicate with, seems to really love animals and is very attentive to my pups needs. Totally recommend!”
13. Socorro T.
“Soco has helped walk my dogs for years. She started helping me with my first dog Holly- who was a wonderful but challenging dog. Holly required special attention because she was abused and could be aggressive towards both humans and other dogs. Soco handled her with ease which as an owner provided such immense relief. After Holly passed away I got another dog who was also a rescue and is extremely high energy. Again, Soco handles here with ease. She’s reliable, always goes above and beyond and truly is the best dog walker I’ve found locally! Would highly recommend her if you are in need of dog walker/sitter.”
14. Brighton S.
“Brighton Smith is an excellent dog sitter and looked after our dog Mutley for over 2 years. As part of my job requires a lot of travelling, Brighton was very flexible in accommodating my dog sitting requests and was also able to stay at our house to ensure Mutley was in his natural environment. She is a very caring and loving person who loves dogs and Mutley was always happy to see her! When we would return from our travelling, Mutley was always a happy dog - which means he was well looked after. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brighton to dog sit/dog walk!”
15. Alissa M.
“Alissa is wonderful with my sweet pup. She communicates well and takes fun pictures so in know all about their adventures. I highly recommend!!”
16. Polly R.
“I have know Polly for over 21 years. Recently I had knee surgery and needed someone to take care of my “boy”. I was not willing to let just anyone do this. He was my first dog, and he is very much a momma’s boy. Polly took him home and he fell in love with her and her girl dog, Zabriskie. She provided on going pictures of him playing in the yard, and walking on the parkway. I am pleased to report we both did fine. I highly recommend Polly to watch over your 4 legged babies any time. ?? Chris from Asheville.”
