“Toni is fantastic. She went over and above to make sure that our senior dog had the best care - giving her meds and lots of extra snuggles. She provided lots of updates and photos throughout our time away. We highly recommend Toni!”
“Thank you for being such good care takers! Ann and Jaren always do such a fantastic job at keeping me updated with lots of photos of Lottie while I am out of town. Can’t explain how much that means when away from home. Thank you for taking such good care of her, always! -Anna”

“Kelly stayed with Connie and Ron 8 nights. This was the best experience ever. So happy Kelly has a great place to go when we are out of town. She loves the fenced in back yard and having friends to play with. Such a warm and loving atmosphere!! ”

“Erin took great care of our sweet dog, Lily. She was easy to communicate with, replied quickly, and sent pictures to let us know how much fun Lily was having playing in the river with Erin. I will be using her again, soon, and would highly recommend her to anyone!”
“So happy to have found Sarah and her sweet family. Lincoln stays with ease and seems right at home in their environment. The backyard for Lincoln is an extra plus.”

“Lacie is 5 stars as well as A++!!!! She takes remarkable care of our special needs Havanese , Emma. I can’t recommend her enough!! We love Lacie and would trust her with anything we own. Thank you Lacie.”

“KaLynn was awesome! She kept sending me pictures of my Yorkie during her stay. I felt very happy and confident she was having a great time. KaLynn is very attentive and punctual. I definitely recommend her for this job.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I have experience caring for puppies, elderly dogs and sick/disabled dogs. I can administer medication, if needed. My dogs are our family members and yours will be treated the same. I am currently working from home so your pet won’t be left home alone for very long periods. I am available during the week and weekends including holidays. I have two very sweet and mellow Cavalier King Charles Spaniels to keep your doggie company. They will have access to 2 separate fenced in areas, one with a doggie door. Your dog can be crated or not and are welcome on the furniture with our dogs. Ours sleep in an x-pen together but your dog can sleep where ever it prefers. I want them to be comfortable like it is their own home.
“Kali was so wonderful. My mollie enjoyed her time with her and her pups! She kept me posted on mollies needs and I am grateful she worked with me on my hectic schedule.”

“I am officially a repeat customer! Caroline is easy to work with and flexible when things need to change. I feel very comfortable leaving my doggie with her and her family.”

“Kristin was awesome with Chance and Sally! They had a great time and really enjoyed her big fenced in back yard! I will certainly use her again if staying in the area again and highly recommend her!”

“Carlina did a great job with our dog, Maddy. She checked in and sent pics. I really appreciated that it was just our dog and Carolina’s dog there - I think too many make it a stressful stay. Maddy said she was a 10/10, bed and treats were great.”

“100⭐️ Our girls stayed for a week and were in heaven! Playing all day, long walks, and snuggles in the bed! My dog mom heart is beyond grateful for Alyssa & Brian! They’ve made an incredible home dedicated to their love of pets. They even taught our lab to use the auto ball thrower in 2 hours where I’ve been trying for months! Alyssa & Brian are incredible! I trust you both so much & appreciate all the love you give our girls! 🐾”

“Holly took very good care of our little pug. She has a lovely backyard for the dogs to play in. We got pictures and videos throughout the day and we could tell he was having a good time. Thank you Holly!”

“Rick is our go-to dog care for our nervous (but sweet) Sheltie. He takes such great care of him and communicates extremely well about how he’s doing on his stay. We love Rick!”

“We left our two fairly high maintenance pups with Robin for a long weekend and she was wonderful! Very communicative and sent us lots of updates. She even was super flexible when we needed her to keep them one extra night due to plane delays. Winston is a lovely little guy too ;) Definitely would recommend her for taking care of your fur babies. Thanks Robin!! :)”

“Michelle was the absolute perfect choice! Not only did she send updates daily, our Ludo got to spend a week romping, playing, and having the best time. He even got a bath the day before we came home! I would recommend Michelle to anyone looking for a safe, fun, very personalized dog sitting experience.”

“Jordan and her little 3-year-old daughter were super sweet!! They took great care of our little Shih Poo girl, not to mention she had just started her cycle. I was afraid that Jordan might cancel, but she didn't. My daughter and I brought her with her crate, diapers, food, and toys, and that was that. We were able to enjoy our travels to see family over the weekend without worry over our baby pooch. We're keeping Jordan's profile up top!”

“Thomas was AWESOME with my cat!!! Cypress warmed up quicker to Thomas than any other sitter I’ve had. Like most cats, sometimes Cypress wants love and sometimes to play. Thomas let Cypress set the tone for the visit; which tells me Thomas knows not to force anything and understands cat behavior very well. Thomas sent lots of photos and very detailed notes! Thankfully, I came home to a happy (and not anxious) cat!!”

“Grayson is amazing. I recently adopted a Great Dane who had a rough start to life and need someone who can help me show him how kind people can be. Grayson is the perfect person for this. Even when my dog jumps on him, he just laughs like he's never been happier. I feel so lucky to have him to look after my pup while I'm at work.”

“Brittney was a godsend when we went out of town last minute. She was communicative from the jump and able to do a drop-in last minute to meet the cats and get to know our home. Her updates were extremely thorough and thoughtful, and she sent us lots of pictures. Not only is she competent, she clearly loves animals and spent time to gain the trust of our two cats, both with very different personalities. Would absolutely trust Brittney to watch our cats again.”

“Alex was absolutely wonderful; communicative, responsible, and obviously has a deep love for animals. My kitty warmed up to Alex immediately and knowing she was in good hands eased my anxiety while I was away. I will absolutely book with Alex again in the future.”

“Erin is absolutely wonderful. She was so kind and patient with our cat and went above and beyond to communicate with us while we were away. We are so grateful to have found her and highly recommend her services!!”

“Stacey was so sweet to my kitties and took very good care of them while I was gone. She accommodated us last minute too as my original sitter had an emergency and couldn’t make it anymore. She even noticed a few character traits of our kitties and paid special attention to those. Would 100% recommend as a sitter, your pets are in good hands. ♥️”

“Sydney took care of our snake while we were out of town. She went above and beyond by watering plants and bringing in packages too. Excellent communication, we will absolutely reach out to book her again.”

“I highly recommend Ana! I’m new to the area and needed someone I could trust to care for my shy cat, Littles, while I was out of state for nine days. He was still adjusting to our recent move and had been stressed by water intrusion issues and all the maintenance visits that followed. Ana was quick to respond, easy to communicate with, and set up a meet-and-greet right away. Littles spent most of that first visit hiding behind the couch, but she was patient and determined to win him over. She sent daily photos and updates, and even checked my apartment for water leaks during heavy rain, which gave me so much peace of mind. Within a few days, Littles was curled up in Ana’s lap enjoying all the pets. When I got home, he was relaxed, eating well, and clearly had been well cared for. I’ll definitely be booking Ana again for my September trip and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, dependable pet sitter.”

“Our cat, Steve, always loves when Susan comes to visit him while we are away! Susan is always on time for our scheduled visits, she remembers all the little details, and sends extremely detailed updates after each visit, including several pictures. Having Susan watch Steve always gives us peace of mind.”

“Krystin Fantastic cat sitter!! She left detailed notes every day along with great pictures and stayed the full 30 minutes! I’ll definitely be trying to book her for looking after my cat anytime I’m out of town.”

“Heather visited my house twice a day for 9 days and was wonderful with my 2 recently captured feral kittens. She has a calming presence and was patient and understanding with the kitties. She is a good communicator, too. I highl6 recommend her.”

“Such a friendly family! My dog Maverick loves going over to play with their pups & children. Autumn always responds quickly & is a pleasure to communicate with. Her husband Josh is great as well, truly amazing people! I am so grateful they decided to become rover caregivers. If i could give more stars i would!”

“Alyssa and Bryan took such great care of our two girls and they have come back happy and tired both times we’ve sent them! They kept us updated with photos and letting us know what they had been up to. They asked a lot of thoughtful questions about Zoe and Riley and I’m very happy to have found them to take care of my crew. They have a great space and yard for the dogs to play and explore, which was a big draw for me. Will definitely book them again!”

“I can't say enough great things about KaLynn. She did some daycare for our senior dachshund so we could do some sightseeing in the area and our pupper loved her. KaLynn sent us photos and updates throughout the day, which made us feel confident that things were going along perfectly in our absence. 10 stars if I could give them”

“Ann & Jaren took such great care of my Lottie girl when I was on vacation to NYC! They kept me up to date with lots of pictures; being that this was the first time we were apart for this long, I really appreciated the photos and care she received. She was in great hands and I 100% will be using them in the future! Thanks again 😊”

About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, two sassy cats, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.
“My dogs have never been happier. Kharen is very attentive, trustworthy, professional and kind. Great place with large fenced in yard. She is our choice for Asheville day trips and vacations.”

About: Experienced dog sitter since early 2020, adept with disabled dogs and diverse medication administration, skilled from toy breeds to German Shepherds. Dogs are my passion! I'm a stay at home mother and with school starting I will have plenty of time to care for your sweet pup's! Monday-Friday 9:00am-2:00pm . Pup needs a walk? Food? Clean water bowls, Someone to play with, or even just someone to make things less lonely? I'm here to help!
About: First and foremost, I absolutely adore animals! Even as a kid, I would only accompany my mother to visit her friends, who had dogs or cats in their home. I appreciate, respect, and can relate to the bond humans have with their pets. They are very much family and there's nothing more satisfying than seeing your fur baby comfortable, relaxed, and content, in our home or yours, while you're away. We only board 2 dogs at a time, to ensure a quiet, calm, and more relaxing stay, and have a large fenced in backyard for playtime. Dogs staying with us must be house trained. We also have a cat, who loves to play with dogs, so to ensure his safety, any dogs boarding with us must be cat friendly. Some of my previous work experience includes 4 years as a veterinary assistant and I'm comfortable with administering medication, if needed. I have dog training experience and have even trained two of our own to become registered therapy dogs. Together, we serve our community by providing pet therapy in shelters for domestic violence victims, assisted living facilities, our local university, in elementary schools, and wherever she's needed. I currently work with German Shepherd Rescue organizations, assessing temperaments/behavior, conducting home visits, and fostering. We live near the airport, which makes it ideal for dropping off and picking up when traveling for work or going on vacation. Several of my clients leave their babies with us when leaving the country. In addition to dog sitting for many friends and family members over the years, I've also taken care of cats, horses, goats, and even iguanas! I can't wait to provide extra love, play time, and affection for your fur baby, too! I work from home and we have one dog and a cat. I closely supervise any dogs that are our guests here and can provide potty breaks as frequently as needed. Any pets staying with us are supervised inside and out. Our yard is large and fenced in, so it's a great place for play sessions. For drop in visits, I customize it to the owner's wishes and dog's needs.

About: Hi! I might be new to Rover but not pet sitting! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently own two pugs and a soon to be therapy dog named Zoey. I also live with my husband Mike! He is an engineer at Duke Energy & isn’t always home. But I work from home so cuddles are always available for your pup! Beyond caring for my own pets, I’ve volunteered with the Blue Ridge Humane Society and spent several years fostering animals in need, helping them transition into loving forever homes. Through fostering, I’ve gained experience working with shy, energetic, anxious, and special needs pets, always focusing on patience, safety, and positive reinforcement. I understand that leaving your pet with someone else requires trust, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, cuddles, or simply a calm and caring companion while you’re away, my goal is to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Please reach out for special requests. I can try to accommodate such as picking up your pet or dropping you off at the airport. I live 6 minutes away from AVL. About: I grew up with dogs as family pets and have always considered myself a “dog person.” My family had a sheepdog, a black lab, and a Scottish sheepdog, which helped shape my lifelong love for animals. About 30 years ago, I met my wife, a true cat person through and through, and over time I happily transitioned into becoming a devoted cat lover as well. Over the years, my wife and I have shared life with three cats, even taking them on leash walks around the neighborhood—yes, I am proudly that person now. Bella, my 18-year-old super senior cat, just lost her struggle with kidney disease and we miss her dearly. My wife and I spoil our animals all the time. Our cats have always been like children to us and the bonds we build with our animals over the years have been deeply meaningful. I believe animals teach unconditional love, friendship, and have a beautiful way of offering comfort exactly when it’s needed most. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have spent years looking after neighbors’ chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, hamsters, and even a rat! After 13 years of teaching English at a nearby Early College, I recently retired from education and am excited to begin this new chapter with Rover. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. When I am not caring for animals, I run a professional mountain biking guide service in Asheville called Pisgah Mountain Bike Adventures. With more than 40 years of passion for mountain biking, being outdoors and in the mountains is where I feel most at home. I also run an Airbnb in our finished basement and I am currently writing a memoir. I am excited to be part of the Rover team and I look forward to caring for your dog, cat, or other beloved pet with the same level of attentiveness and heart that I have given to everything in my life. I am all in. I am excited to continue growing with Rover and embrace this new direction in my life with enthusiasm and hope, proving it’s never too late to follow a new calling! I am available 7 days a week for dog walks, overnight care, drop in visits, pet transport and housesitting. I am pet first aide and CPR certified and ready to help care for your fur babies anytime. I will board your dog or cat in my home or yours. I am an outdoor enthusiast, so will provide outdoor enrichment, long walks and various activities like playing fetch in the park or snuggles and extra 1 on 1 time for your pet. As a retired teacher, I bring professional level customer service, reliablity and professional pet care for you and your fur babies. I am very flexible with scheduling. Your pet or house is in good hands, leaving you free to go about your day and not worry about your home or fur babies. Thanks for trusting in menfor your pet and houshold needs.

About: I've grown up with several cats. My best friend and the love of my life is a tabby cat I've had since I was 12 years old. I didn't have a dog growing up but I frequently cared for my neighbors Great Pyrenees. My first dog as an adult was a rescue coonhound mix and my current dog is a purebred Redbone Coonhound. I live in an apartment with 2 cats and a dog. I work part time at Food Lion, but I'm wanting to be a full-time pet sitter. Humans are too complicated for me. Plus it gives me the opportunity to spend more time with my dog! I live in an apartment but I'm very active. I utilize all the trails and parks in the area and I bring along my buddy Kashmir, my Redbone Coonhound puppy who loves other dogs!
About: Hello! My name is Heather. I am 53 and semi-retired. I drive for Uber to fill some of my time. I have cared for animals all of my life, starting with a farm when I was little. My first dog was named Tandy and my first cat was Tasha. I have been a fur baby mamma, pretty much always, as well as a sitter for friends and family. I have experience with puppies, kittens and senior animals. I recently moved to Asheville and into a place that doesn’t allow pets. I miss having a fur baby, so it would be an honor to care for yours. I have a very open schedule. I drive for Uber part time, and other than that I like to fill my days with hiking, walking, pickleball and yoga. I would love to have a furry friend come along on my adventures! I am unable to bring pets into my rental home. I will travel to your home and stay overnight with your pet, and I will treat both with love, care and respect. I will make sure to follow feeding, potty and walking schedules closely. I will also ask about favorite games and comfort toys and routines. I will send pictures and a recap of the day. I want you, and your pet, to feel comfortable and safe.

About: Rescuing dogs — especially puppies — is the most rewarding feeling in life. The most important thing with our furry friends is consistency. If you're stricter with your dog, you need a sitter who'll uphold those rules, not let them slide. I've taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family for years, and I've learned that it's not about what I want — it's about honoring what the owner has built with their pet. I work with the public in my day job, so patience is second nature to me. Pets are no different. They need someone who can read their energy, stay calm, and meet them where they're at. I also love running and playing with animals. Exercise is huge — but I get that a walk isn't always about distance. Sometimes they need to run. Sometimes they need to stop and smell everything. I match their pace, not mine. I don't know if anything really sets me apart from other sitters. I just genuinely want to be there for the furry family member. My availability in inconsistent due to Firefighting but I will always respond as soon as I'm able too. I understand due to my schedule I won't the best sitter for if you need someone daily, but if you need someone to drop-in, walk your dog, or just need a night out, feel free to leave a message. Currently working for a fire department, schedule can be inconsistent. Great for drop in play times and walks. Days off from fire department can be great for unexpected care. Currently unable to have pets in home due to renting rules. Will make sure to confirm and follow all rules with you before accepting the job.

About: I have been taking care of other people's animals since middle school and just love getting to know your pets! Experience with dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, and fish! Willing to take on pets with medical needs! I work 40 hours over 5 days days a week. I am typically away from the house from 9 am - 5 pm or 11 am - 7 pm. Depending on your location, I may be able to pop back to the house on my short lunch break. I am comfortable walking your animals on leashes, pushing them in strollers, using a treadmill, playing with them in the yard, or whatever else is your routine and preference!
About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember and have years of experience caring for them through every stage of life. Today, my wife and I care for our Australian Cattle Dog, Dakota, whom we adopted when she was a year old. Training Dakota has given me valuable experience in understanding canine body language, behavior, and communication. I’ve learned how to recognize signs of stress, excitement, fear, and overstimulation, and how to respond in a calm, positive way to help dogs feel safe and comfortable. Whether we’re out on walks, visiting public places, or relaxing at home, I’m always attentive to a dog’s needs and surroundings. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, administering basic care, maintaining routines, providing exercise and enrichment, and giving each dog the patience and attention they deserve. Every dog has a unique personality, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel happy, secure, and loved. Above all, I believe every pet should be treated with the same care, respect, and affection that I’d want for my own! I’m currently a full-time online student and teach online part-time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pup! I can build my own schedule, so I'm fully available. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home and follow their normal routine. My goal is to provide dependable, personalized care that helps them feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re away. I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, potty breaks, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any other routines that are important to your pet. I pay close attention to body language and behavior so I can make sure your dog is comfortable and enjoying our time together. Whether I’m stopping by for a visit, taking your dog on a walk, or staying in your home, I’ll treat your pet with patience, kindness, and the same level of care and attention I’d want for my own. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands.

About: I’m an Asheville native who loves nature and animals deeply. I communicate well & efficiently. Working with animals fills me with so much joy. I happily work with animals of all ages, sizes, breeds, etc. You can rest assured your pets will receive the best care possible each time they are with me. I love being able to help out fellow humans with the awesome bonus of keeping your animals happy & healthy :) I am a mama to a young boy, who is also good with animals. Although, he is in school most of the time. I do not usually come out late in the evenings due to my son’s bedtime, but can make it work if you are located close by. During the day time I have a good bit of flexibility, which allows this job to fit in my lifestyle well. I am currently only offering services at the clients home - I prefer to meet prior so I can visibly see what I will need to do. If this is under shorter notice / a meet cannot occur, please either write or text me a message of any needs, concerns or details necessary to make it the best experience for your pets. You can fully trust that your pets will be happy, safe and well taken care of.

“So happy to have found Sarah and her sweet family. Lincoln stays with ease and seems right at home in their environment. The backyard for Lincoln is an extra plus.”

“This was our first time leaving our pup “away from home “ and we were a bit concerned how things would go. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the care and attention Katie and Jeremy provided. Katie gave us multiple updates each day and sent several photos and videos highlighting just how much fun our girl was having. We will definitely have them watch our girl in the future.”

“Nikki was beyond amazing with her care for our pup! Her home and property are a dog’s dream for endless running and outdoor time. She also made sure Asha got lots of great hikes on the nearby trails! Also, her dog is a wonderful play buddy! Nikki even gave us some goodies from her garden when we arrived and then made sure Asha got an early morning trail hike/romp early in the morning before we picked her up. We couldn’t have asked for better care for our fur-kid. Thank you, Nikki!!”

“Pisco had a wonderful time with Alexis. Long walks, regular attention, and a nice place to relax. We appreciated her regular stream of photos. Highly recommend Alexis. We'll use her again.”

“Toby had a great weekend with Ali and Penny. Ali took great care of him, gave frequent updates, and went above and beyond in her flexibility and taking care of our boy. Will definitely be asking her to watch Toby again next time I need a sitter.”

“Buddy had the best time with Kyle and her pup, Louie. They were all fast friends. Kyle was flexible and communicative before and during his stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her again!”

“My pup Pickles stayed with Brody for a week while I was out of town. Brody has great demeanor and command with all the dogs he takes care of. Always seems to have multiple on site which was a bonus for me as it gave Pickles lots of social time with the others. Every dog that was there, when I was present, listened well and and seemed very happy. I had the chance to check out the set-up before booking and there's plenty of room to roam, play or relax - whether each dog wants to socialize or just hang out by themselves. Finally, his "dog cave" (think Man-Cave/She-shed) was perfect for the dogs to cool off and sleep in a climate controlled and peaceful environment - with each dog having their own crate to call home. Brody provided pics/videos of Pickles to ease my mind - knowing he was being well taken care of and happy in my absence.”

“Nola loves her stays with Katie and Preston and their furry family. I trust them to give her all the attention she needs and to provide great care. It’s great to have a trustworthy home away from home for her and she will be returning the next time I go out of town.”

“Jessica and Jack were such nice people. They were very communicative and responded quickly to anything I wrote. They sent me photos and videos of Lupe and their daughters. Lupe seemed to be having a good time. It was the perfect environment for Lupe. They took good care of her while she was recovering from a leg injury. She seems to be doing better after her long weekend with them.”
