About: Almost 20 years experience caring for cats, dogs and rodents with special care of elderly and medically fragile pets. I have pet sat all over the USA through trusted house sitters app and can’t wait to be spending regular time caring for animals again. I have experience training my own cat to do tricks, wear a harness, and go on walks. I’m currently a student at App State and spend time in both Black Mountain with my wife and in Boone for school. I have a flexible schedule during the weekdays and weekends open availability. I love going on walks and runs daily and leash trained my cat to go with me sometimes. I will also be available holidays and have more time during school semester breaks. I only care for pets in their own home due to wanting to keep a stable environment for my own cat. I believe attention and routine are important for pets and strive to give them as much time as possible while also sticking with their regular routines for walking, feeding, training, etc.
“I am so glad we found Ashlee. She arrived on time and immediately connected in a lovely way with my pup, Murphy. I was able to accomplish my errands with my mind completely at ease. Ashlee is kind friendly capable and experienced. I highly recommend her services.”

About: 25 years of heartfelt experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and ages, I bring genuine love and expert knowledge to every furry friend. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a wise senior cat, or anything in between, my deep understanding ensures compassionate, personalized care that nurtures their health and happiness. Every pet is treated like family, making their well-being and joy my top priority. Extremely flexible schedule, I am willing to travel, work remotely, willing to respond quickly, living on 1.5 acres, here to help with your pet needs. I have plenty of space to walk the dogs, a dog runner, crate, and one female cat named Bubbles. Bubbles will most likely stay in the basement where she thrives in her own space.
About: I've grown up with several cats. My best friend and the love of my life is a tabby cat I've had since I was 12 years old. I didn't have a dog growing up but I frequently cared for my neighbors Great Pyrenees. My first dog as an adult was a rescue coonhound mix and my current dog is a purebred Redbone Coonhound. I live in an apartment with 2 cats and a dog. I work part time at Food Lion, but I'm wanting to be a full-time pet sitter. Humans are too complicated for me. Plus it gives me the opportunity to spend more time with my dog! I live in an apartment but I'm very active. I utilize all the trails and parks in the area and I bring along my buddy Kashmir, my Redbone Coonhound puppy who loves other dogs!

About: Rescuing dogs — especially puppies — is the most rewarding feeling in life. The most important thing with our furry friends is consistency. If you're stricter with your dog, you need a sitter who'll uphold those rules, not let them slide. I've taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family for years, and I've learned that it's not about what I want — it's about honoring what the owner has built with their pet. I work with the public in my day job, so patience is second nature to me. Pets are no different. They need someone who can read their energy, stay calm, and meet them where they're at. I also love running and playing with animals. Exercise is huge — but I get that a walk isn't always about distance. Sometimes they need to run. Sometimes they need to stop and smell everything. I match their pace, not mine. I don't know if anything really sets me apart from other sitters. I just genuinely want to be there for the furry family member. My availability in inconsistent due to Firefighting but I will always respond as soon as I'm able too. I understand due to my schedule I won't the best sitter for if you need someone daily, but if you need someone to drop-in, walk your dog, or just need a night out, feel free to leave a message. Currently working for a fire department, schedule can be inconsistent. Great for drop in play times and walks. Days off from fire department can be great for unexpected care. Currently unable to have pets in home due to renting rules. Will make sure to confirm and follow all rules with you before accepting the job.
About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember and have years of experience caring for them through every stage of life. Today, my wife and I care for our Australian Cattle Dog, Dakota, whom we adopted when she was a year old. Training Dakota has given me valuable experience in understanding canine body language, behavior, and communication. I’ve learned how to recognize signs of stress, excitement, fear, and overstimulation, and how to respond in a calm, positive way to help dogs feel safe and comfortable. Whether we’re out on walks, visiting public places, or relaxing at home, I’m always attentive to a dog’s needs and surroundings. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, administering basic care, maintaining routines, providing exercise and enrichment, and giving each dog the patience and attention they deserve. Every dog has a unique personality, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel happy, secure, and loved. Above all, I believe every pet should be treated with the same care, respect, and affection that I’d want for my own! I’m currently a full-time online student and teach online part-time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pup! I can build my own schedule, so I'm fully available. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home and follow their normal routine. My goal is to provide dependable, personalized care that helps them feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re away. I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, potty breaks, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any other routines that are important to your pet. I pay close attention to body language and behavior so I can make sure your dog is comfortable and enjoying our time together. Whether I’m stopping by for a visit, taking your dog on a walk, or staying in your home, I’ll treat your pet with patience, kindness, and the same level of care and attention I’d want for my own. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands.

About: https://www.rover.com/sit/kaitlr39001 I have about 4 years of experience with medically fragile dogs as my dog is a diabetic and takes insulin and requires a prescription diet with frequent potty breaks as well as one other dog who is on daily medications. My other senior pup has discospondylosis so daily medications are something I am very very familiar with as well as being more careful and slower with pups. About: Hi! I’m Celeste — your dog’s new favorite auntie 🐾 I’m a lifelong animal lover originally from Denver, now living right in downtown Asheville with my 5-year-old “puppy” (yes, she still thinks she’s a baby). We go on daily mountain walks, explore the city, and spend way too much time cuddling — so your dog will fit right into our routine. I’m dependable, nurturing, and super communicative. I’ll treat your fur baby like my own, keep you updated with plenty of photos, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and entertained the whole time. Whether your pup needs hikes, chill couch time, consistent structure, or someone who just gets dog personalities — I’m your girl. Can’t wait to meet your four-legged best friend! 🐶💛 My schedule is super flexible. I’m home most days and can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits. Because I live right in downtown Asheville, I’m able to pop in quickly for walks, check-ins, or longer stays. I’m available weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and I can often take last-minute bookings. If you need consistent care, overnight sitting, or a recurring schedule, I’m happy to make that work too — just send me a message! In My Home: I create a calm, safe, and loving environment. I live in downtown Asheville with my friendly 5-year-old pup, and we follow a steady routine of walks, playtime, and mellow downtime. Visiting pets get the same treatment as my own — constant supervision, lots of affection, fresh water at all times, and a cozy place to relax. I keep my space clean, dog-proofed, and stress-free so every animal feels comfortable and at home. In Their Home: I follow your pet’s normal routine to keep them grounded and secure. I handle feeding, walking, potty schedules, medication (if needed), enrichment, and plenty of snuggles. I’m big on communication, so you’ll get updates and photos as often as you’d like. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and understood while you’re away — no disruption, just comfort.
About: I’m an Asheville native who loves nature and animals deeply. I communicate well & efficiently. Working with animals fills me with so much joy. I happily work with animals of all ages, sizes, breeds, etc. You can rest assured your pets will receive the best care possible each time they are with me. I love being able to help out fellow humans with the awesome bonus of keeping your animals happy & healthy :) I am a mama to a young boy, who is also good with animals. Although, he is in school most of the time. I do not usually come out late in the evenings due to my son’s bedtime, but can make it work if you are located close by. During the day time I have a good bit of flexibility, which allows this job to fit in my lifestyle well. I am currently only offering services at the clients home - I prefer to meet prior so I can visibly see what I will need to do. If this is under shorter notice / a meet cannot occur, please either write or text me a message of any needs, concerns or details necessary to make it the best experience for your pets. You can fully trust that your pets will be happy, safe and well taken care of.
About: I’ve had pets all of my life ranging from cats and dogs to a bearded dragon. I love and care for all animals and will do that for yours as well. As my apartment doesn’t allow pets, currently I don’t own any, but I love to go home and see our family dog Kodi. For Kodi we have a set time for food, walk her when we have free time everyday, and water is available at any time and we have set times in the morning and evening to let her out for the bathroom, while allowing her to go out at other times when needed. I will act according to the owners specific instructions, while doing what I need to do to take care of their pets in the best way possible.
About: I have owned dogs my entire life with many cats in between. I have had the pleasure of sitting dogs and cats all over the country, including house sits in California, Oregon, Washington, and now North Carolina. I have experience with young puppies, as well as elderly dogs with a plethora of health problems; I also have experience with big dogs like German shepherds, Australian shepherds, and Rottweilers, to teacup Pomeranians, spitz, and many more. I have been told I’m very high energy and fun, and the animals I have looked after always seem to pick up on that great energy and can’t wait to hang out. :) I sell vintage clothing, so being self employed allows me to better accommodate to all the needs of the animals. In our own home, our dog Endo is the King. He gets to enjoy long daily walks amidst the beauty of DuPont forest, swims in the lake behind our house, and nightly fresh cooked meals. My services on house sits include obviously feeding and general care of the animals, as well as promptly following specific dietary regimens and health requirements of every animal. I have cared for very old dogs that needed assistance in bowel movements as well as simple motivation for stubborn dogs that don’t like to walk. I have also looked after countless plants and hot tubs, ensuring proper watering and chlorination.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
