Very pleased with Thomas, this was my first time using Rover and I found the perfect person to handle my dog! He did everything right, followed through on his end, communicated updates, and I felt assured my dog was in good hands. Thomas is reliable, trustworthy, provided great care, and I will absolutely be using his services again!

We were gone for the weekend and Mallory was wonderful with our 2 pups! They are usually crazy and destructive when we leave but they loved Mallory and behaved so well! Would highly recommend for pup sitting and walking.

About: Almost 20 years experience caring for cats, dogs and rodents with special care of elderly and medically fragile pets. I have pet sat all over the USA through trusted house sitters app and can’t wait to be spending regular time caring for animals again. I have experience training my own cat to do tricks, wear a harness, and go on walks. I’m currently a student at App State and spend time in both Black Mountain with my wife and in Boone for school. I have a flexible schedule during the weekdays and weekends open availability. I love going on walks and runs daily and leash trained my cat to go with me sometimes. I will also be available holidays and have more time during school semester breaks. I only care for pets in their own home due to wanting to keep a stable environment for my own cat. I believe attention and routine are important for pets and strive to give them as much time as possible while also sticking with their regular routines for walking, feeding, training, etc.

About: I bring a broad background in animal care, with years of experience volunteering at dog and cat rescues in Guatemala. During that time, I fostered dogs, trained puppies, and assisted at spay and neuter clinics. I am active and enjoy running with dogs, which makes me a great match for high-energy pets. In addition to my dog experience, I have worked with horses and lived with cats, giving me a strong understanding of animals with different needs and personalities. My goal is always to provide compassionate, attentive, and reliable care so pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I have a flexible schedule and can provide pet care 24/7. Most of my time is spent managing and maintaining my property, which gives me a steady routine and plenty of availability for pets. I enjoy being active and outdoors, so I’m happy to take dogs for walks, spend quality time with cats, and ensure all pets receive consistent attention, exercise, and care throughout the day. I live on a quiet dead-end road in the woods, right by a river, providing a peaceful and secure environment for pets. I have a friendly cat to keep other animals company when appropriate. I also care for pets in their own homes, spending time training, walking, and engaging them safely outdoors. I am attentive and vigilant, ensuring pets are happy, supervised, and well-cared for at all times.

About: https://www.rover.com/sit/kaitlr39001 I have about 4 years of experience with medically fragile dogs as my dog is a diabetic and takes insulin and requires a prescription diet with frequent potty breaks as well as one other dog who is on daily medications. My other senior pup has discospondylosis so daily medications are something I am very very familiar with as well as being more careful and slower with pups. I currently do part time work from home so I am almost always available to pet sit or board or in home pet sit or even walk your animals. I am a HUGE advocate for animal safety regardless of breed. I love all animals and would never put my dogs or any other animal in harms way.

About: I've grown up with several cats. My best friend and the love of my life is a tabby cat I've had since I was 12 years old. I didn't have a dog growing up but I frequently cared for my neighbors Great Pyrenees. My first dog as an adult was a rescue coonhound mix and my current dog is a purebred Redbone Coonhound. I live in an apartment with 2 cats and a dog. I work part time at Food Lion, but I'm wanting to be a full-time pet sitter. Humans are too complicated for me. Plus it gives me the opportunity to spend more time with my dog! I live in an apartment but I'm very active. I utilize all the trails and parks in the area and I bring along my buddy Cheeto, a Redbone Coonhound who loves other dogs!

About: I’m an Asheville native who loves nature and animals deeply. I communicate well & efficiently. Working with animals fills me with so much joy. I happily work with animals of all ages, sizes, breeds, etc. You can rest assured your pets will receive the best care possible each time they are with me. I love being able to help out fellow humans with the awesome bonus of keeping your animals happy & healthy :) I am a mama to a young boy, who is also good with animals. Although, he is in school most of the time. I do not usually come out late in the evenings due to my son’s bedtime, but can make it work if you are located close by. During the day time I have a good bit of flexibility, which allows this job to fit in my lifestyle well. I am currently only offering services at the clients home - I prefer to meet prior so I can visibly see what I will need to do. If this is under shorter notice / a meet cannot occur, please either write or text me a message of any needs, concerns or details necessary to make it the best experience for your pets. You can fully trust that your pets will be happy, safe and well taken care of.

About: My husband and I both work from home and have a large, fenced-in yard. We have one dog and two cats of our own and have previously fostered both dogs and cats with the Asheville Humane Society. Not only am I a huge animal lover, but I also am well versed in dog behavior and can administer medicine if needed. If you’d like references, please let me know and I’d be happy to provide some for you. I’ll treat your pup like one of my own, including lots of belly rubs, play and treat time and of course, I’ll send you photos so you know your dog or cat is okay. We are conveniently located 15 minutes from Downtown Asheville and 10 minutes from Black Mountain. If you’re visiting Asheville and need recommendations on where to eat and things to do, let me know! My husband and I both work from home, so your dog will receive lots of attention during their stay. We have many dog beds, toys, and big windows that many Rover dogs have enjoyed looking out of. We have a large, fenced-in yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. Our two cats have been with us since they were just a few weeks old (they are foster fails), so they grew up with our dogs and are used to dogs. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I’m happy to customize your experience specifically for your fur baby with their likes and dislikes! We have a secure, fenced in yard for potty breaks and play time. We have reliable transportation should an emergency arise. We have doggy steps for our two senior dogs, if your dog needs to use them too.

About: Hello, my name is Madison! A little about me: -I’m a Hufflepuff to my core which means I’m exceedingly honest and loyal. -I am not a drinker or a smoker. -My idea of a night "out" is drinking a Christmas mocktail at an Elf themed bar. I offer reliable dog/house sitting, dog visits, and walking services so you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are getting the love, care, and attention they deserve while you’re away. I’m definitely known for snapping pictures and doing a mini photoshoot that you didn’t ask for so you feel close to your pup while you’re gone- as well as giving you peace of mind of their safety and comfort. I baby sit/nanny and just as I prioritize respecting boundaries as well as being incredibly cautious of safety and children's comfort, I bring that same care and detail into dog and house sitting as well. I will be making my plans and daily life around my schedule for pet and house sitting along with baby sitting and nannying. I don’t overload my personal schedule. I am a very attentive and careful person, I believe in doing things the right way and that there is a right and a wrong. I have learned a lot of people have a lackadaisical attitude about things that I have always naturally cared about. I have come to learn you don’t have to be the most talented person, but actually caring about things means everything. I will treat your pets and your home as if it is my own with complete respect (and no judgement!)

About: Hello! I have always been surrounded by dogs growing up and lived with a dalmatian, GSP, and weimeraner before moving out of my parents home! I have cared for itty bitty chihuahuas to massive bull mastiff-pitt mix dogs. I have worked with pets who need medication and special care, as well as anxious dogs who need constant activity (or to just be left alone). I understand that pets are a part of the family and need to be cared for as such. I have my own pup now and know how important it is to have a trusted caretaker so you can fully enjoy your time away. I currently work part time in a very flexible environment making it easy to accommodate many different needs and scheduling preferences. Any pets are treated like part of the family and given full priority over any other engagements I’m happt to board other dogs if meet and greet goes well with my own pup! I’m more than willing to stay overnight in others homes if that makes you more comfortable, or just have multiple drop in visits at your preference.

As of August 2026, there are 1,276 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Bat Cave. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Bat Cave. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Bat Cave.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bat Cave. On Rover:

  • 95% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
