About: Hello! I have 12+ years of experience caring for pets. 10 years caring for a multiple pet household and 3 years of pet sitting experience. Big and littles! I am new to Rover but can provide references from families I have pet sit for outside of Rover. I can handle medications and other daily needs. I have a lot of fun with animals but understand they also need a lot of structure. Most of my experience is with high drive and energy dogs that I know require exercise, enrichment, and structure. I have experience navigating training tools like ecollars if your pup utilizes those, and would follow your specific training system for your pet. We can go on walks in your neighborhood or a drive out to a walking trail. I’m familiar and comfortable with pups that are crate trained as well. Anxious doggos are no problem, I would just want to get info on how you best care for them when they struggle. I welcome dogs of all ages, and especially love carrying on any training you may be doing with your puppy or adult dog.i live in Rutherford county nc but am available in the greater Asheville area since my work is flexible locations. I work out of the home most of the time but I make my own schedule and work within the community. So I’m able to schedule check ins through out the day. However, because of this, I typically keep puppy or high needs (requiring constant monitoring) to weekends and holidays. My husband also helps with check ins throughout the day and some days, I am home most of the day since I have some hybrid work as well :) but I like to do a walk in the morning and evening, at least. I also enjoy enrichment time with indoor activities or training in the evenings or during poor weather. I am available many holidays, just reach out. I am okay with fenced or unfenced, as I am happy to walk your pup with a leash. I would want to know if they have issues walking though so I can plan for that and ensure it’s an enjoyable experience for everyone :) i take care of the home i am sitting as much as the animals, and i pride myself on leaving things better than i found them. I’m very meticulous and usually, you’ll hardly know I was there.

About: Rescuing dogs — especially puppies — is the most rewarding feeling in life. The most important thing with our furry friends is consistency. If you're stricter with your dog, you need a sitter who'll uphold those rules, not let them slide. I've taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family for years, and I've learned that it's not about what I want — it's about honoring what the owner has built with their pet. I work with the public in my day job, so patience is second nature to me. Pets are no different. They need someone who can read their energy, stay calm, and meet them where they're at. I also love running and playing with animals. Exercise is huge — but I get that a walk isn't always about distance. Sometimes they need to run. Sometimes they need to stop and smell everything. I match their pace, not mine. I don't know if anything really sets me apart from other sitters. I just genuinely want to be there for the furry family member. My availability in inconsistent due to Firefighting but I will always respond as soon as I'm able too. I understand due to my schedule I won't the best sitter for if you need someone daily, but if you need someone to drop-in, walk your dog, or just need a night out, feel free to leave a message. Currently working for a fire department, schedule can be inconsistent. Great for drop in play times and walks. Days off from fire department can be great for unexpected care. Currently unable to have pets in home due to renting rules. Will make sure to confirm and follow all rules with you before accepting the job.

Our dog is a little loud because she’s hard of hearing and will act a little tough at first with a tiny growl (hey! She’s been my baby since I bottle fed her at 5 weeks, she’s gotta protect her fam) and she will bark for awhile but she gets used to every pet she’s been around in a matter of minutes. Never had any fights or incidents with her. We just ask that if your animal has any aggressive tendencies, to please consider other options or contact me for a meet and greet to see if we make a good fit. I’m here to play with your pet during the day and take them out/feed them/give them treats as much as needed. I do ask that you be as honest as possible about your pet’s potty-training issues (if any) and temperament/energy levels - we want them to be comfortable with us but we also have to look out for our kiddo. I can assure you though, your furbaby will be in the best of hands and may even end up coming home with a few new tricks to show off!! XO - M & B

About: I've provided loving care to all sorts of animals! I am new to Rover, but not new to caring for fur babies, especially dogs and cats. I have 2 dogs and a cat myself, and have been a nanny for almost a decade. I love to nurture! I've always adored critters of all kinds since an early age, I grew up with a family dog and 3 cats, as well as hamsters, reptiles, fish, birds and more. I am one of those people who finds it is easier to connect with animals than humans at times, and I have a good general knowledge of dog training, reading body language and caring for reactive or higher needs animals. I am currently only working 1 day per week for 4 hours at a pottery studio in Asheville, and one day a week I work remote. My schedule is very flexible, during my free time I am a ceramic artist and help my partner run our farm in Marshall, so have a lot of freedom in creating my schedule based on house sitting / pet care needs. I am a slow morning person, so will take the time to provide potty breaks, playtime and cuddles to your fur baby! I pride myself on safety and keeping your pets comfortable and at ease. I will keep off limit foods/items out of reach, and have a lot of awareness around things in the home or outside that could be dangerous. If something comes up and I am unsure on how you'd like it to be handled, I will contact you and keep you informed.
