About: Rescuing dogs — especially puppies — is the most rewarding feeling in life. The most important thing with our furry friends is consistency. If you're stricter with your dog, you need a sitter who'll uphold those rules, not let them slide. I've taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family for years, and I've learned that it's not about what I want — it's about honoring what the owner has built with their pet. I work with the public in my day job, so patience is second nature to me. Pets are no different. They need someone who can read their energy, stay calm, and meet them where they're at. I also love running and playing with animals. Exercise is huge — but I get that a walk isn't always about distance. Sometimes they need to run. Sometimes they need to stop and smell everything. I match their pace, not mine. I don't know if anything really sets me apart from other sitters. I just genuinely want to be there for the furry family member. My availability in inconsistent due to Firefighting but I will always respond as soon as I'm able too. I understand due to my schedule I won't the best sitter for if you need someone daily, but if you need someone to drop-in, walk your dog, or just need a night out, feel free to leave a message. Currently working for a fire department, schedule can be inconsistent. Great for drop in play times and walks. Days off from fire department can be great for unexpected care. Currently unable to have pets in home due to renting rules. Will make sure to confirm and follow all rules with you before accepting the job.

“Ginger is the best dog sitter we have ever used! Even before arriving, she texted us to let us know that she would be at our rental house an hour before requested to get familiar with our dogs. We have two young rescue dogs who love to play and can be rambunctious and Ginger was loving and gentle with them. She sent pictures each day and also texted to let us know how they were doing. Ginger followed every directive we left and went above and beyond by washing their dishes and toys each day. In addition to taking excellent care of the house and the dogs, Ginger also became our travel agent during our stay and gave us fabulous suggestions on places to visit from Asheville to Cades Cove. One day, we were a little late getting back because we went to one of her suggested sites and I texted her to apologize but Ginger immediately texted me back and said not to worry but to enjoy ourselves.
