Toni is fantastic. She went over and above to make sure that our senior dog had the best care - giving her meds and lots of extra snuggles. She provided lots of updates and photos throughout our time away. We highly recommend Toni!

I was nervous about leaving my buddy Reno for more than 2 weeks especially since I had just moved to Asheville. But my worries went away after meeting Megan and seeing the big fenced yard where he could play and then all the photos where it was evident that Reno was enjoying himself. I highly recommend Megan to care for your best friend too.

Daniella did such a great job with the dogs! We have never left them this long before and we were worried how they would be when we got back. They came home happy and full of energy, totally their normal selves. It was great getting photo updates every day. I would certainly use Danielle again. Thanks so much Daniella!

Rick took great care of our 14yo dachshund. As a rescue, Ozzie can sometimes need extra TLC, which he absolutely received! We already have our next dogsitting scheduled.

We could not have asked for better sitters than Connie and Ron. They took SUCH good care of our two pups while we were away on vacation for a week. They messaged us every day with pictures and videos. It was such a comfort to know that they were in such caring and loving hands. Our pups got daily walks and lots of play time in Connie and Ron’s spacious back yard. They got lots of play time with their toys and cozy time in front of the fire…definitely a luxury they don’t get at home. They were fed on schedule and slept just like they do at home. Connie and Ron made sure they knew all their habits, including which bed belongs to which dog, what room they normally sleep in, etc. Connie and Ron very obviously loved our dogs very much and we pretty much now consider them extended family. We will find excuses to leave our pups with them again because they won’t want to be away from Connie and Ron—their amazing second parents—for too long! ❤️

Nellie had a great time. Brody was kind and Nellie enjoyed her stay. He sent me video’s showing me how Nellie was doing. She loved running and playing with the other dogs. I loved the fact she was not in a crate. I hope to continue using Brody for other occasions.

About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, two sassy cats, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.

Amy did a wonderful job with our dog Eo. We could tell that Eo had a great time when we picked her up evidenced by her reluctance to leave Amy's house. We will definitely be using Amy's services again and would recommend her to friends.

Lindsay’s boarding was awesome for us! She was super responsive to our out of town questions and she sent us updates and photos of Gabby during her stay. Gabby has several daily meds and there were no issues handling that. Lindsay’s dogs welcomed their guest and all got along. We travel to the area often and would use Lindsay again and 100% recommend.

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
