“Savannah was great through and through! She was very communicative and prompt with both the meet and greet and the dog walks and made sure that our boy felt comfortable and at home with her. Looking forward to booking again!”

“Pam is a great dog walker. She is very warm and had an instant rapport with my shy rescue dog. She communicates well, is flexible, confident, and reliable. I highly recommend her and hope that we'll have her again.”
About: My style is very gentle, understanding, and affectionate, though I am also very clear with boundaries and behaviors. I was a foster parent for Lap Dog Rescue of New Mexico for three years. I have special experience with pregnant dogs and cats, newborns, and I have a big soft spot for senior pets. I am an avid hiker and walker, so your babies will get plenty of exercise! I am a retired childbirth educator, doula, and Hypnotherapist. I am blessed to have my days to myself and am home all day except for errands and hikes. We live in Sun City, Georgetown, Texas. Since I'm retired, my schedule is wide open. Lana, my partner, works full time from home. Our two little 5 year old poodle mixes are used to welcoming and entertaining new furry friends, since they have "fostered" many dogs over the years.
About: I have had pets my whole life and taken care of friends and neighbors pets as well. We have a beloved dog named Marley, a ball python, and 15 chickens. I love animals and can’t wait to meet and get to know yours! My availability is open, so let me know if you need set walking times, or pet sitting, Especially during the week, but also weekends work! I can come to you, to walk your dog, or care for any pets in your home, clean out liter boxes, water plants or check mail.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for my own pets—including two large dog breeds and multiple cats. I truly have a huge heart for animals and treat every pet in my care as if they were my own, with patience, attention, and lots of love. I understand the needs of bigger dogs as well as the unique personalities of cats, and I’m comfortable handling a variety of temperaments and routines. I’m also a full-time mom to an eight-month-old, which has only deepened my sense of responsibility, nurturing, and attentiveness. Pet sitting is a meaningful way for me to help support my family financially while doing something I genuinely love—caring for animals like they’re part of my family. 🐾 As a full-time mom working from home, I have flexible daytime availability and can easily accommodate regular pet check-ins and walks throughout the day. I’m home-based, dependable, and able to give pets consistent attention rather than rushed visits. With enough advance notice, overnight house sitting is absolutely an option as well, allowing me to provide extended, attentive care when needed. I care for pets with the same attention, respect, and love I give my own. I follow each pet’s established routine closely—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions—to help them feel safe and comfortable. In a client’s home, I prioritize calm, low-stress visits, keeping their space clean and their pet happy, exercised, and well cared for. Whether it’s active play, gentle companionship, or simply being a reassuring presence, I tailor my care to each pet’s needs and personality, treating every animal as if they were part of my family.
About: I have grown up with animals my whole life. I’m a pre-veterinary major and love all sorts of creatures. Want to care for animals while in school! I’ve dog and cat sat many times, dog walked, bathed, fed, and more for many different people such as friends, family, and neighbors. When at home, I not only spend time with my two dogs, but I also help to care for them by feeding them, giving them their medicine, taking them on walks, giving them baths, and just loving on them. I have a special touch with animals and understand that trust between the animal is key. I let them come to me and adjust at their pace. Always approach with love and care and treat them how I do my own!
“Marti was very kind and professional during the meet with Sadie. Sadie loved her. Sadie loves to sniff while walking and Marti was thoughtful enough to go slow and careful. We will definitely hire her again when the need arises. Thanks Marti.”

“Alex is highly recommended by us and our dog, Duncan. Before finding Alex, we have never trusted the care of our dog or house to anyone. We can’t tell you how thankful we are for finding Alex!”

“Kyle did a great job with Patches. He was very responsive and took lots of pictures of Patches. He helped feed and walk her while I was out of town. He did a great job keeping Patches calm and making sure she got lots of walks. I would highly recommend.”

“Lauren responded quickly and was very accommodating for our short notice request. We loved the communication throughout the day including photos of our happy dogs. We highly recommend!”
About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, one sassy cat, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my daily schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.
About: I grew up riding horses and spending most of my free time at the barn, where I eventually started working and gained years of experience with all kinds of animals, especially dogs. I’ve house-sat countless times for my former trainer, taking care of her four Dobermans, along with other pets and farm animals. When she began breeding Dobermans, I was hands-on in raising several litters, giving me extensive puppy care experience. This past summer I was the head caretaker and instructor for five Golden Doodle puppies at a girls’ summer camp. I managed their feeding schedules, socialization, crate training, and daily care. I also have a strong foundation in animal health and behavior from both school and hands-on work in animal-focused environments. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from high-energy puppies to older dogs who just want some gentle company. I’m confident, reliable, and genuinely love being around dogs. I’d be honored to care for yours like they’re my own! I attend Warren Wilson College, which is a work college meaning I work 12 hours a week on campus in addition to my classes. Despite that, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to consistently prioritize pet care. My mornings are free until 10am, and my evenings open up after 6pm throughout the week. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits Monday through Friday, and I can board or house-sit over the weekends (Friday–Sunday). Because I’m used to balancing school, work, and animal care, I’m reliable and great at time management. I truly enjoy building pet care into my routine- it’s something I look forward to! I’m happy to work around your schedule and your pet’s needs as much as possible. My approach to pet care always depends on what makes your animal feel safest and most comfortable. For cats, I follow their lead- whether that means quiet companionship, lots of play, or giving them space. I’m happy to stick to any routine they’re used to, and I’ll make sure they feel secure, relaxed, and well cared for in your home. With dogs, I’m naturally very active and love spending time outdoors. There’s a beautiful creek and plenty of trails near my school, and- if you’re comfortable with it- I’d love to take your pup out for some light adventuring and enrichment! I’m also totally happy to stick to their normal walking route and routine if that’s what they’re used to. I’m attentive, always respectful of your preferences, and always focused on keeping your pet safe, happy, and well loved.
About: I’ve had and cared for dogs and cats my entire life. My neighbors call on me as they know how much I love their pets as my own. I have experience with training and had an Australian Labradoodle as well as cat. I am not quite ready to get a new dog but would love to spend time with some furry friends with my current flexibility! I work from home, my husband works a lot and my 16 year old is busy being a teenager. I’m very flexible and can do doggy walks, overnights stays and even host dogs at my house. I have no current pets. I have a fenced in yard and a great neighborhood for walking dogs! Working from home allows plenty of time for extra snuggles and playing.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
