About: I have had dogs my whole life. I have experience caring for puppies, elderly dogs and sick/disabled dogs. I can administer medication, if needed. My dogs are our family members and yours will be treated the same. I am currently working from home so your pet won’t be left home alone for very long periods. I am available during the week and weekends including holidays. I have two very sweet and mellow Cavalier King Charles Spaniels to keep your doggie company. They will have access to 2 separate fenced in areas, one with a doggie door. Your dog can be crated or not and are welcome on the furniture with our dogs. Ours sleep in an x-pen together but your dog can sleep where ever it prefers. I want them to be comfortable like it is their own home.

About: I grew up with dogs as family pets and have always considered myself a “dog person.” My family had a sheepdog, a black lab, and a Scottish sheepdog, which helped shape my lifelong love for animals. About 30 years ago, I met my wife, a true cat person through and through, and over time I happily transitioned into becoming a devoted cat lover as well. Over the years, my wife and I have shared life with three cats, even taking them on leash walks around the neighborhood—yes, I am proudly that person now. Bella, my 18-year-old super senior cat, just lost her struggle with kidney disease and we miss her dearly. My wife and I spoil our animals all the time. Our cats have always been like children to us and the bonds we build with our animals over the years have been deeply meaningful. I believe animals teach unconditional love, friendship, and have a beautiful way of offering comfort exactly when it’s needed most. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have spent years looking after neighbors’ chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, hamsters, and even a rat! After 13 years of teaching English at a nearby Early College, I recently retired from education and am excited to begin this new chapter with Rover. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. When I am not caring for animals, I run a professional mountain biking guide service in Asheville called Pisgah Mountain Bike Adventures. With more than 40 years of passion for mountain biking, being outdoors and in the mountains is where I feel most at home. I also run an Airbnb in our finished basement and I am currently writing a memoir. I am excited to be part of the Rover team and I look forward to caring for your dog, cat, or other beloved pet with the same level of attentiveness and heart that I have given to everything in my life. I am all in. I am excited to continue growing with Rover and embrace this new direction in my life with enthusiasm and hope, proving it’s never too late to follow a new calling! I am available 7 days a week for dog walks, overnight care, drop in visits, pet transport and housesitting. I am pet first aide and CPR certified and ready to help care for your fur babies anytime. I will board your dog or cat in my home or yours. I am an outdoor enthusiast, so will provide outdoor enrichment, long walks and various activities like playing fetch in the park or snuggles and extra 1 on 1 time for your pet. As a retired teacher, I bring professional level customer service, reliablity and professional pet care for you and your fur babies. I am very flexible with scheduling. About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, two sassy cats, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. Bill gets along with all dogs.. Nate’s backyard is amazing and perfect and shaded. It has a lot of shade for Hot North Carolina days. He was very attentive to my dogs when I had a concern about my female during the day.. he really knows how to handle an acclimate dogs. I highly recommend him.. I never worried about leaving my dogs with him while I was at a very long all day class for three days. When we go back to Asheville if Nate is available, I will definitely ask him to watch my dogs again..”

About: Hi, I am a compassionate and dependable recent retiree. My two senior dogs passed away in the past 6 months and I am without any fur-babies for the first time in decades. I am honored to spend quality time with your loved one so you can have a worry-free vacation and I can have some doggy/kitty time! I am newly retired and have plenty of free time. I do have community activities out but they do not dominate my day. I spend my time focused on creativity (working on art and music projects) at home. So your pup will have company pretty much all day whether you are boarding with me or I am housesitting for you. I am very active and have a daily exercise and yoga routine and my home is a healthy and veg-friendly household. I'll gladly walk your dog to the level he/she is used to (if it's hot I will walk early morning and/or evenings). My intention is to have your baby feel loved and safe with lots of attention and play and by sticking to the routine as you dictate. I am very tidy/neat and respectful of your home. I'm happy to water your plants etc. If boarding in my home, I am here most of the time. My husb and I Iive in a house with a big fenced in yard so there is plenty of room for your pup to do his or her business and run around and chase a toy. The neighborhood is very walkable and dog-friendly. I can also take your dog in the car to favorite walks (with your permission). If boarding in my home, I request that your dog is 100% house-trained and has good social skills/manners as well as being comfortable with having their own bed to sleep in.

Our pup Jack liked him immediately and he made Jack feel at ease, which is not easy to do because he is nervous when we leave him. So glad Gabe jumped in at the last minute to help us out while we were on a quick trip out of town. He came to our hotel room and stayed for a few hours while we were at a concert.”

I have 3 animals of my own including 2 dogs and a cat. I have taken care of baby, Senior, adult, healthy, and sick animals. I’m an animal lover and love meeting new people and animals. I have a lot of knowledge with animals for the simple fact that I have been around 100’s my entire life, from saving strays to having pets. I live in Weaverville and would love to help out with taking care of your pet or pets! I work all day but could be flexible. Im a personal trainer, my hours are 4am-2/3pm. I am available with at least a week notice. I can help on M-F and weekends with drop ins and walks. I have a yard as well as 2 friendly playful dogs. I have crates as well as separated floors that are gated off in my home that always help.

About: I have been an animal lover my whole life! I got into pet grooming at an early age and have worked and managed in a few different salons around Asheville, NC. I have extensive knowledge of animals such as keeping things sanitary and following strict schedules, diets and plans to fit the animals needs. I am currently available any day and am only accepting drop in visits and bathing at this time. I am new to Rover so I am looking for my first bookings. I can provide references of animals I have cared for previously. I can stick to a strict diet plan and bathe if needed. I will keep your home tidy during the visits and follow any instructions that are left with me.
