My first time sitting my dog was a terrible experience and I was terrified to sit him again but a family emergency popped up and I came across her profile. Her house is clean and she was so nice during the meet and greet, my dog Smokie adores her. Not only did she go over plans on what to do with Smokie while we were away but wrote down a detailed list of everything we told her which sits out in her home in case an emergency happened on her end that anyone coming to watch her own dogs and our dog would know exactly what he needed. She also provided us with all of her emergency contacts so we knew anyone who may be in her home. She also has close contact with the vets in the area if something should happen with our pet. She is amazingly organized and prepared. The dogs have plenty of space to roam and she even had a quiet room for the dogs that can’t roam if she had to pop out of the house and can’t bring the dogs. I will never even consider another sitter after booking with her because they all pale in comparison!”

About: I grew up with dogs as family pets and have always considered myself a “dog person.” My family had a sheepdog, a black lab, and a Scottish sheepdog, which helped shape my lifelong love for animals. About 30 years ago, I met my wife, a true cat person through and through, and over time I happily transitioned into becoming a devoted cat lover as well. Over the years, my wife and I have shared life with three cats, even taking them on leash walks around the neighborhood—yes, I am proudly that person now. Bella, my 18-year-old super senior cat, just lost her struggle with kidney disease and we miss her dearly. My wife and I spoil our animals all the time. Our cats have always been like children to us and the bonds we build with our animals over the years have been deeply meaningful. I believe animals teach unconditional love, friendship, and have a beautiful way of offering comfort exactly when it’s needed most. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have spent years looking after neighbors’ chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, hamsters, and even a rat! After 13 years of teaching English at a nearby Early College, I recently retired from education and am excited to begin this new chapter with Rover. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. I was ignorant of cats until I found my own, listened to many behavioral podcasts along with my research to understand their uniqueness, and now I deeply appreciate and understand wholeheartedly the love earned from such individual little creatures. I’m comfortable administering medications in any form, from pills to inhalers, and my own pets are on daily medication routines so it’s second nature. My background in farming gave me hands-on experience with animal health and handling, and I’ve worked with my own dogs on training from puppyhood. I’m home all day, every day, so your dog gets constant attention and care, not just a place to play and sleep. I work from home Monday through Friday, 9 to 5, with a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of time in the mornings, evenings, and throughout the day. I have lots of time for walks, potty breaks, and playtime, and my job allows me to step away whenever your pup needs attention. I can work from my office or the couch, wherever your dog is most comfortable. On my days off I tend to stay close to home, and if I do need to run an errand I won’t be gone long and can always accommodate you and your dog’s needs. I share my home with three animals who are very well loved. Haddie is my 7 year old spayed terrier mix, about 22 pounds, and my two cats are Zuzu, a spayed senior, and June, who is 4 years old and also spayed. Each of them has their own dietary and medical needs, so I’m already in the routine of specialized diets and medications. Your dog will fit right into that level of care. Haddie goes out every two to four hours and we walk together every day. There’s also plenty of backyard playtime. The backyard is not currently fenced, but a fence is going up soon. In the meantime I have a post with a long leash line in the yard and keep Haddie on a harness. I am always outside with her when using the leash line and never leave her unattended, and will do the same for your dog. My home is clean, open, and pet friendly. The furniture and beds are fair game for your dog. I do have a dedicated cat room with a gate that only the cats can fit through, so they always have their own safe space. All of my houseplants are pet safe as well. I also live at the end of a dead end street near the cul de sac, so it’s a quiet area with only local traffic and no busy roads nearby.

About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. About: I've taken care of dogs since I was five years old. I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.
About: I've grown up with several cats. My best friend and the love of my life is a tabby cat I've had since I was 12 years old. I didn't have a dog growing up but I frequently cared for my neighbors Great Pyrenees. My first dog as an adult was a rescue coonhound mix and my current dog is a purebred Redbone Coonhound. I live in an apartment with 2 cats and a dog. I work part time at Food Lion, but I'm wanting to be a full-time pet sitter. Humans are too complicated for me. Plus it gives me the opportunity to spend more time with my dog! I live in an apartment but I'm very active. I utilize all the trails and parks in the area and I bring along my buddy Cheeto, a Redbone Coonhound who loves other dogs!
About: I have always loved and cared for animals since I was young. I have taken care of my own and other people's fur babies. I love when my friend's pets get excited to see me because I equally share their joy! Dogs: I have always loved dogs and had at least 1 since childhood until a few years ago sadly. The automatic baby voice comes out when I see them! I have found myself spending more time with the dogs than the humans at gatherings sometimes and I love it. I love all breeds and sizes! I ask each owner if it’s okay for me to “say hi”/pet their fur baby before doing so while in passing on walks and such. I tell my kitties often that they will have a canine sibling soon! Cats: Currently a cat mom of 2, the stars in my pictures! I was ignorant of cats until I found my own, and now I deeply appreciate and understand wholeheartedly the love earned from such individual little creatures. My kitties are my shadows, I never use the restroom alone. They have taught me so much and I love the unique personality that I find in each one of them. I know how important it is to respect their space (especially if they're more standoffish) and ensure they have all their resources, especially when their humans are away! Currently working my own flexible schedule so I can make any time work that your fur baby needs. Some pets are used to early mornings and some are used to late evenings. Whatever works for yours! My kitties eat raw, so I make their food daily and give them specific supplements and treats depending on their behavior and the litterbox situation. I'm in tune with my kitty's behaviors and meows knowing what they're requesting in that moment. When caring for other people's pets, I'm mindful of where we use the bathroom (if possible) and clean up appropriately. No details are too many, I'm very supportive of specific needs and how your fur baby may be familiar with their care.

Not only did she go over plans on what to do with Smokie while we were away but wrote down a detailed list of everything we told her which sits out in her home in case an emergency happened on her end that anyone coming to watch her own dogs and our dog would know exactly what he needed. She also provided us with all of her emergency contacts so we knew anyone who may be in her home. She also has close contact with the vets in the area if something should happen with our pet. She is amazingly organized and prepared. The dogs have plenty of space to roam and she even had a quiet room for the dogs that can’t roam if she had to pop out of the house and can’t bring the dogs. I will never even consider another sitter after booking with her because they all pale in comparison!”
