“Caroline and her family were amazing dog sitters. My nervous little doggy was right at home there! Caroline was so responsive to all my initial questions, sent photos and updates daily, and really made me feel comfortable leaving my furry son at her house. Booking my next stay with her now!”

“Toni is fantastic. She went over and above to make sure that our senior dog had the best care - giving her meds and lots of extra snuggles. She provided lots of updates and photos throughout our time away. We highly recommend Toni!”
“Kinsey was AMAZING SPECTACULAR SO WONDERFUL on our wedding weekend. She was so gracious and flexible, hosting not just our dog but, at various points, both our officiant's dog and our neighbor's dog as well (they all know each other and we cleared it in advance). She was communicative and kind, shared all kinds of fun photos and updates and even ferried our pup to and from our venue so he could participate in our ceremony!! She and her family will always hold a special place in our hearts for our special day and we can't recommend her enough.”

“This was our first time leaving our pup “away from home “ and we were a bit concerned how things would go. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the care and attention Katie and Jeremy provided. Katie gave us multiple updates each day and sent several photos and videos highlighting just how much fun our girl was having. We will definitely have them watch our girl in the future.”

“Megan and her family were amazing with our two pups! She has a great fenced in yard with plenty of room to run and cozy places for the dogs to sleep and hang out. One of our dogs is really scared of thunderstorms and Megan went above and beyond to make him comfortable during some very strong storms. Our pups have made friends for life! We will definitely be repeat customers and highly recommend Megan.”

“Willow loved her stay with Daniella. We will definitely use her again. She sent pictures that made me feel we didn’t need to worry about Willow while we were gone. A real relief about having to leave her.”

“Ann and Jaren were absolutely wonderful! They took such great care of my sweet Ernie for 10 days, and I could tell he was happy and loved while I was gone. It was such a relief knowing he was in such good hands. On top of that, they made things so easy for me—I was able to leave my car at their house, and they even gave me a ride to the airport. Truly above and beyond! I’m so grateful to have found them and wouldn’t hesitate to ask them again.”

“Rick loves dogs and takes good care of them. This was the first time my dog had stayed with someone she didn't know but he knew what to do and gave her lots of love. Poppy looks forward to staying with him again.”

“Jen completely removed our worry and doubt that we had from trying to find a sitter! When our pup is with her we know that she's taken care of and just as comfortable in her home as if she would still be in ours!!”

“I am so grateful of Vicky’s hard work to help my skittish pup come out of her shell while I was out of town. Vicky was great at communicating and sending pictures throughout the visit! Thanks Vicky!!”

“Sarah was extremely easy to work with and Jasper had a great time with her dog Jimmy and her family. Communication was excellent and Jasper loved his time at her home!”

About: I grew up with feisty terriers, and now have a high energy Dalmatian. I’m up for the task! It’s a pleasure to play hard, and get them tuckered out for cuddle time. By spending time with our Dalmatian, high energy pups will meet their match and older dogs will tap into their youth. Looking forward to it! I work from home, and already have dog-care built into my routine. Our fenced in yard makes it easy for them to run-around. Daily walks around the block. We have a fenced in yard, great for them to run free. We’ve got dog beds, fun toys and lots of fresh water always available.
“Jessica and John were amazing! My pup Ruby had so much fun with them - exploring the woods and trails outside and cuddling on the couch with their two girls! They are communicative, professional, and their love and care of dogs is evident! I had some travel delays and they were really understanding and flexible in coordinating pick up which was such a relief. Looking forward to her next stay with them!”

“Lilac was the most incredible cat sitter we’ve had. Not only did she send the cutest photos everyday, but she also took photos of our kitties eating and their water bowls to show us that they were eating and getting fresh water everyday. She was very communicative and accommodating. When lilac came over for her visit to meet the cats it was apparent that she knew what she was doing, that she was responsible and serious about her job, but also so excited to be working with our animals. Anyone who books with Lilac can be confident that their pets are being loved on and cared for!”

“Cera is amazing! She is kind, very responsive, and flexible. My mind was at ease knowing my cat was in the best hands while I was gone. I’m so glad to have found her and look forward to using her services in the future.”

We immediately felt comfortable with her at our meet and greet, and wouldn’t hesitate to have her back! Anna is a communicative, considerate, and compassionate sitter.”

“This was my first time using Rover service for my two kitties. I am very pleased with how it worked out. Larry did a great job following directions for my cats care! He send me daily pictures and notes about them- fed them their dinner each night, checked on them, scooped the box and even brought in the mail. I will gladly use Larry again when I travel. Glad to find a nearby neighbor that’s a caring, responsible animal lover. Thanks Larry!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong cat lover with years of hands-on experience caring for multiple cats, each with their own unique personalities, routines, and quirks. I understand that cats thrive on consistency, patience, and trust—and I take the time to make every visit calm, respectful, and stress-free. I treat every cat as if they were my own, whether that means playful engagement, gentle companionship, or simply giving them space while making sure they’re safe and well cared for. I’m also a full-time mom to an eight-month-old, which has deepened my nurturing nature and attention to detail. Cat care allows me to contribute financially to my household while doing something that truly brings me joy—caring for animals with love, responsibility, and heart. Your cat’s comfort, safety, and happiness will always be my top priority. 🐱💛
About: What sets me apart is my calm, intuitive approach to pet care. I’m the proud human of a poodle with a mohawk and two cats, so I’m fluent in both high-energy zoomies and quiet companionship. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs, whether that’s patient walks, extra reassurance for seniors, or playful engagement for younger pups. I’m especially great with senior pets, shy animals, and pets who need a steady, gentle presence. I don’t rush visits, I don’t overwhelm, and I treat every pet like they’re part of my own pack—because that’s how I’d want mine cared for. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine. I structure my schedule around walks and drop-in visits, allowing plenty of time for each pet so they’re never rushed. Caring for my own dog and cats every day keeps me consistent, attentive, and flexible, and I plan client visits thoughtfully to ensure reliable, calm, and focused care. I care for pets by following their normal routines as closely as possible, whether in my home or in my client’s home. For drop-in visits and walks, I make sure pets are fed, walked, and given plenty of attention and affection, along with any enrichment they enjoy. I pay close attention to safety, cleanliness, and each pet’s comfort, and I always take time to observe their behavior and needs so they feel secure, calm, and well cared for while their owners are away.
“Katie is great! We were anxious to leave our 2 cats (our first time since COVID) for a week, but Katie took great care of them. She sent beautiful photos, made sure they had food/water, played with them, and even checked our mail. When we go out of town again, Katie will definitely be our first pick!”

“Thomas was AMAZING with our two kitties! He kept us updated and sent the funniest, cutest pics! Thomas is very professional, kind, and an expert with animals. He made the entire process easy and I felt lessed stress knowing our babies were in his care. I think our cats like him better than us! 😂”

About: I love animals! After having my daughter I opted to pet sit for friends instead of adopting another dog of my own, and it's been a great treat. Now I'm opening up my services to others! I have a great fenced in yard and will make sure your fur-baby gets regular walks around town. I've volunteered with shelters and rescue organizations, and been through a lot of training with my own dogs. I work from home, so am able to provide walks in the morning and evening, and potty breaks throughout the day. I am happy to follow any protocol for care. I am very attentive to pets and they will always be under my watchful eye! Even when outside. I am comfortable crating, or they can have free range in the house.
“Today was Winnie's first stay with Lindsey and it was great! Winnie had a fun day running in the back yard and playing with her dog, Coco. We are so happy with Lindsey and Andrew! She kept us posted and sent cute photos! Winnie has another stay coming up in October.”

“Lena did a great job taking care of my pup who had surgery and needed some love while I was gone for long clinical days at the hospital. It gave me peace of mind she was being well taken care of. I will definitely be using Lena again to care for my pups.”
“Janet was absolutely amazing with my dog Boden! He sometimes struggles with separation anxiety, but Janet was able to make him feel so comfortable that he was actually excited to go back to her house for daycare after just one day! Not only did she take great care of him, but she was also fantastic at communicating with me throughout the day, keeping me updated on how Boden was doing. She took him on walks and even to the dog park, which he absolutely loved! Plus, he had the best time playing with her dogs too! I cannot recommend Janet enough - she is truly a wonderful dog caregiver.”

“We were from out of town , camping, and visiting Biltmore. We needed someone to watch our standard Poodle for the day. We booked with Kinsey and it couldn’t have been better. We had issues with our camper and had to reschedule. She was so understanding. We did a pre visit and our boy fell in love! We were able to drop him off and feel so confident that he would have a wonderful day! Will definitely use again if in the area.”

“Piper and I were very pleased with the care provided by Jacqueline & Sammy! Very friendly, welcoming, obvious dog lovers, and excellent communication. Piper really enjoyed having access to a fenced yard for some zoomies, but the best part of the stay was a long walk followed by belly rubs and a nap. They went above & beyond by washing the mud towel I left in case Piper got muddy paws. If we're ever in the Asheville area, again, we'll be a repeat customer!”

“Alyssa and Bryan took such great care of our two girls and they have come back happy and tired both times we’ve sent them! They kept us updated with photos and letting us know what they had been up to. They asked a lot of thoughtful questions about Zoe and Riley and I’m very happy to have found them to take care of my crew. They have a great space and yard for the dogs to play and explore, which was a big draw for me. Will definitely book them again!”

I've spent some time doing service dog training years ago so I have a good understanding of dogs and the way they function and learn. I will ensure your pet is well taken care of and has plenty of fun whether I'm walking them, checking on them, or keeping them company while you are away! No dog is too big or small for me to handle and with several great dog parks and walking trails in my area there is always something for us to do. About: **About me & my home** Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — they are simply woven into who I am. I hold an associate's degree in pre-veterinary medicine and have volunteered alongside veterinarians, which gave me hands-on clinical experience and a deeper understanding of animal health and behavior. I have spent a lifetime learning what truly makes dogs tick, and it shows in how I care for them. I live with my husband and our Boston Terrier, **Leo** — just the three of us. We are a quiet, dog-loving household with no children or other pets, which means your dog will enjoy a calm, attentive environment from the moment they arrive. Leo is charming, friendly, and absolutely loves meeting new dogs and playing. My husband and I are both devoted dog lovers, so your pup will never be short on affection. I am currently not working, which means I am home all day, every day — your dog will have my complete, undivided attention around the clock. No rushing off to an office, no leaving your pup alone. Just full-time, devoted care. I am also a photographer, so expect an abundance of beautiful, candid photos and videos of your dog throughout their stay — memories you'll want to keep forever. **My approach: quality over quantity, always** I accept one family at a time — this is intentional and non-negotiable. Your dog deserves undivided attention, not a crowded boarding environment. Families with two dogs are warmly welcome; that is the perfect arrangement. Your pets will be treated like family: long walks on beautiful forested trails right from my door, plenty of love, proper nutrition, and full-time human companionship every single day. **Good to know before booking** - I do not accept aggressive dogs under any circumstances. - I do not accept females in heat. - Please bathe your dog before arrival — I have allergies, and a fresh coat makes a meaningful difference. Bathing on arrival is available for an additional fee. - Please bring: crate, bed, bowls, leash, favorite toys, and any medications. - Medication administration fee: 1 medication once/day $3 · twice/day $5 | 2 medications once/day $5 · twice/day $10. - Tell me everything — quirks, anxieties, funny habits, challenging behaviors. I've heard and seen it all, and I never judge. The more you share, the better I can care for your loved one. - Not a good fit for very large or extremely powerful dogs that require exceptional physical strength to handle safely on a leash. **Other pets I can care for:** Turtles · Hamsters · Guinea pigs · Bunnies · Fish · Birds NEW CLIENTS: $20 of your first booking when you use this link to book: https://www.rover.com/sit/linao I am all day at home, doggies will have me around pretty much all the time; except when I go out to run an errand. About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for my own pets—including two large dog breeds and multiple cats. I truly have a huge heart for animals and treat every pet in my care as if they were my own, with patience, attention, and lots of love. I understand the needs of bigger dogs as well as the unique personalities of cats, and I’m comfortable handling a variety of temperaments and routines. I’m also a full-time mom to an eight-month-old, which has only deepened my sense of responsibility, nurturing, and attentiveness. Pet sitting is a meaningful way for me to help support my family financially while doing something I genuinely love—caring for animals like they’re part of my family. 🐾 As a full-time mom working from home, I have flexible daytime availability and can easily accommodate regular pet check-ins and walks throughout the day. I’m home-based, dependable, and able to give pets consistent attention rather than rushed visits. With enough advance notice, overnight house sitting is absolutely an option as well, allowing me to provide extended, attentive care when needed. I care for pets with the same attention, respect, and love I give my own. I follow each pet’s established routine closely—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions—to help them feel safe and comfortable. In a client’s home, I prioritize calm, low-stress visits, keeping their space clean and their pet happy, exercised, and well cared for. Whether it’s active play, gentle companionship, or simply being a reassuring presence, I tailor my care to each pet’s needs and personality, treating every animal as if they were part of my family.

About: I have grown up with animals my whole life. I’m a pre-veterinary major and love all sorts of creatures. Want to care for animals while in school! I’ve dog and cat sat many times, dog walked, bathed, fed, and more for many different people such as friends, family, and neighbors. When at home, I not only spend time with my two dogs, but I also help to care for them by feeding them, giving them their medicine, taking them on walks, giving them baths, and just loving on them. I have a special touch with animals and understand that trust between the animal is key. I let them come to me and adjust at their pace. Always approach with love and care and treat them how I do my own!

About: I grew up riding horses and spending most of my free time at the barn, where I eventually started working and gained years of experience with all kinds of animals, especially dogs. I’ve house-sat countless times for my former trainer, taking care of her four Dobermans, along with other pets and farm animals. When she began breeding Dobermans, I was hands-on in raising several litters, giving me extensive puppy care experience. This past summer I was the head caretaker and instructor for five Golden Doodle puppies at a girls’ summer camp. I managed their feeding schedules, socialization, crate training, and daily care. I also have a strong foundation in animal health and behavior from both school and hands-on work in animal-focused environments. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from high-energy puppies to older dogs who just want some gentle company. I’m confident, reliable, and genuinely love being around dogs. I’d be honored to care for yours like they’re my own! I attend Warren Wilson College, which is a work college meaning I work 12 hours a week on campus in addition to my classes. Despite that, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to consistently prioritize pet care. My mornings are free until 10am, and my evenings open up after 6pm throughout the week. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits Monday through Friday, and I can board or house-sit over the weekends (Friday–Sunday). Because I’m used to balancing school, work, and animal care, I’m reliable and great at time management. I truly enjoy building pet care into my routine- it’s something I look forward to! I’m happy to work around your schedule and your pet’s needs as much as possible. My approach to pet care always depends on what makes your animal feel safest and most comfortable. For cats, I follow their lead- whether that means quiet companionship, lots of play, or giving them space. I’m happy to stick to any routine they’re used to, and I’ll make sure they feel secure, relaxed, and well cared for in your home. With dogs, I’m naturally very active and love spending time outdoors. There’s a beautiful creek and plenty of trails near my school, and- if you’re comfortable with it- I’d love to take your pup out for some light adventuring and enrichment! I’m also totally happy to stick to their normal walking route and routine if that’s what they’re used to. I’m attentive, always respectful of your preferences, and always focused on keeping your pet safe, happy, and well loved.
About: I’ve had and cared for dogs and cats my entire life. My neighbors call on me as they know how much I love their pets as my own. I have experience with training and had an Australian Labradoodle as well as cat. I am not quite ready to get a new dog but would love to spend time with some furry friends with my current flexibility! I work from home, my husband works a lot and my 16 year old is busy being a teenager. I’m very flexible and can do doggy walks, overnights stays and even host dogs at my house. I have no current pets. I have a fenced in yard and a great neighborhood for walking dogs! Working from home allows plenty of time for extra snuggles and playing.
About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, one sassy cat, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my daily schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.
About: I love pretty much anything with 4 legs. I have great patience with puppies, and a soft spot for older dogs with specialty care needs. I’m able to give medication and cater to most schedule requirements. My current job is part time during the earlier hours of the day, this allows me to be available for early afternoons and evenings. Also, because I work close to home I am able to provide regular morning routines that your pet may be used to. My goal is to care for your pet just as well as you do! If they are used to crates or simply being out in your home, that’s what they’ll experience with me. I don’t have pets of my own so yours will be sure to get my undivided attention. I live in a quiet neighborhood with safe roads to walk on, and trails close by for higher energy pets! My flexible schedule allows plenty of time for driving to and from your home if necessary, and a chance to give your dog the attention they need.

“Caroline and her family were amazing dog sitters. My nervous little doggy was right at home there! Caroline was so responsive to all my initial questions, sent photos and updates daily, and really made me feel comfortable leaving my furry son at her house. Booking my next stay with her now!”

“Laird was exceptional in sharing “the life of Addy” while watching our dog…lots of videos and pictures of her. We will definitely be a repeat customer when we visit Asheville again..”

“Toby had a great weekend with Ali and Penny. Ali took great care of him, gave frequent updates, and went above and beyond in her flexibility and taking care of our boy. Will definitely be asking her to watch Toby again next time I need a sitter.”

“This was by far the best sitter I’ve ever had. The booking was a breeze the communication and everything went well. My pup was happy met other dogs and I appreciate you guys going over and beyond!!!”

“Michelle and Dale provided excellent care to our Sapphire. This was our first experience with Rover and will surely be rebooking with Rover Michelle and Dale in the future. They even provided for drop off service at our home as a courtesy. 5 star all the way. -Marc”

“Miranda was great! My husband and I had a trip planned to Maui. We found a sitter months in advance. Then the hurricane hit. Our booked sitter had a tree go through her house. The second sitter we found was unable to get their flooded house repaired in time. The third sitter we found texted me the week before we left to let me know she would be going out of town too, but that our dog would be fine and the neighbor could let us in when we return. I contacted Miranda several days before we left for our trip. Our pup stayed with her 12 days. She is only 7 months old and was able to get great socialization in, with both people and other dogs. Miranda sent us daily updates and pictures, and even some videos. Barbara had a great time and was able to sleep in the bed, cuddle on the couch, and have fun running and playing outside in her big backyard with all of her new friends. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that our dog was taken such great care of. Will definitely use her again. By the way, Miranda's house is an hour from us, but well worth the drive. Will definitely be using her as our sitter from now on.”

“Alexis did a great job watching my dog Elroy for 3.5 days while we were away. She sent us updates and photos and let us know how he was getting along with the other dogs she was watching. I felt very comfortable leaving my baby with her and he came back tired and happy. I’ll definitely be returning next time I need someone.”
About: I absolutely love dogs and cats. I am willing to do check ins when you go out of town. I love all size dogs. If i do check ins I can come pretty much anytime of the day. I am also available on weekends. I am very responsible and trustworthy. I have watched dogs for many friends and family members. If you let me watch your dogs i will take great care of them for you! Dogs are the best animals and they are fun to be around. I also cat sit. I have a diabetic cat so I know a lot about cats. I will board your dog at my house but they have to be friendly with young kids and another dog and cat. I am also not too far from Weaverville. I’m a stay at home mom so I can be available all different times of the day. I am available weekdays and on the weekends. I do not have a fenced in yard but we do have bushes that separate it from the road and I can stay outside with them.
“Kyle was great! My sweet girl Hope is very shy, but Kyle gave me assurance that she would be well taken care of and she was. She came out of her shell and even play with their dog Lou. I highly recommend her and will use her services in the future. Thanks again Kyle, Randy and Lou!”

“My dogs loved staying with Breanne and her family! You can tell they really love dogs, and my dogs came home much happier than they usually do when I pick them up from a boarding facility. I would happily board with Breanne again!”
