Highly-rated overnight sitters - Montreat
“Caroline and her family were amazing dog sitters. My nervous little doggy was right at home there! Caroline was so responsive to all my initial questions, sent photos and updates daily, and really made me feel comfortable leaving my furry son at her house. Booking my next stay with her now!”

“All I can say is that I didn’t know Georgie could possibly be more spoiled than he already was but he is and that is a good thing! Made the entire trip away perfect knowing he was being so loved. Anyone who adores their dog and considers them their baby and not just a pet, do not hesitate to trust Toni to care for them.”

“Linsey has been a dream dog-sitter! She and her family invited my miniature dachshund/chichuahua mutt, Lodi in and made him part of their family. She sent pictures and notes keeping me updated on how he was doing! I can’t recommend Kinsey highly enough.”

“Katie & Jeremy were very communicative and provided updates throughout my dog’s whole stay which helped so much. My dog takes a while to open up around new people and they were very patient and understanding with him.”

“Very sweet! Yuki loved staying with Megan. Megan was willing to care for my pup VERY last minute and I couldn’t be more thankful! Megan’s yard is perfect for dogs! Definitely will have yuki here again!”

“Brody is great! I felt very comfortable leaving my 2 dogs with him, his set up is perfect and there are river dogs around for them to play with all week. Brody treats the pups like his own and we will definitely use him again!”

“Richard was watching my puppy when hurricane Helene hit. Despite the chaos and crisis he stayed in communication as best he could and kept her safe the entire time I was gone. Words can’t express my gratitude. Aside from that, he was very accommodating of her puppy needs and took great care of her.”

“Daniella and her family are amazing people. Our dogs were well cared for and it was so nice not having to worry about them. We will definitely continue using them for our dogs.”

“If you want to leave your furry friend(s) with folks that will treat him/her/them like one of the family reach out to Ann & Jaren! This was our first time ever boarding our dog, Opal. The experience could not have gone better. The initial meeting with Jaren, drop off, communication during the week, and pick up was AMAZING! We received pictures and videos of her playing and being cuddled. We could tell Opal was having a blast with her new friends, which allowed us to relax with no worries. We will definitely be using them again in the future.”

“I’d give Vicky 10 stars if I could. Lucy loved her time with Vicky and I felt at ease knowing she was being well loved. Vicky sent us multiple videos of Lucy, which made our time apart much more comforting. Many thanks to you, Vicky”

“Caleb, a fairly recent rescue dog with residual anxiety, spent two weeks with Kristin and took only a few hours to readjust to being back home with us. I think this reflects the attention and secure, loving home that Kristin provided. Caleb had other dogs to play with, a cozy indoor environment, and a regular schedule at his home-away-from-home. I would certainly recommend Kristin and will use her again in the future.”

“Erin took great care of our sweet dog, Lily. She was easy to communicate with, replied quickly, and sent pictures to let us know how much fun Lily was having playing in the river with Erin. I will be using her again, soon, and would highly recommend her to anyone!”
“Sarah was extremely easy to work with and Jasper had a great time with her dog Jimmy and her family. Communication was excellent and Jasper loved his time at her home!”

About: I grew up with feisty terriers, and now have a high energy Dalmatian. I’m up for the task! It’s a pleasure to play hard, and get them tuckered out for cuddle time. By spending time with our Dalmatian, high energy pups will meet their match and older dogs will tap into their youth. Looking forward to it! I work from home, and already have dog-care built into my routine. Our fenced in yard makes it easy for them to run-around. Daily walks around the block. We have a fenced in yard, great for them to run free. We’ve got dog beds, fun toys and lots of fresh water always available.
“Kali was amazing with our pup Lotus. This was our second time booking with her and she was able to coordinate with us last minute. I felt at ease during my time away knowing Lotus was in good hands and it was great to receive video/pics updates. I highly recommend her!”

“My baby was in very good hands with Jessica and John (Jack). Thanks for taking such good care of Zeus on his first away from home stay. I really enjoyed the pictures and videos and know you spoiled him a lot. He went around our house this morning sniffing everything, glad he was home. But I know he will be in very good hands if we ever have to leave him home again. Thanks again J and J. We appreciate you!”

“Our pups were treated like royalty! Such an amazingly beautiful place for doggies. Alyssa and Brian were very communicative and sent so many great pictures to keep in touch. So happy to have found them and we will definitely use them in the future. Thanks so much!”

“Laird was stellar home away from home for our fur baby! Her beautiful, secure back yard was perfect for lots of carefree romping and running and he was showered with TLC by the whole family! Franklin is already planning his next visit! Thanks Laird!!”

“I want to share how kind and responsible Savannah has been each time she has sat for my cat Obi. She has been wonderful from the beginning, but this time was even more because the day before I had to leave, Obi got an ear infection. I took him to the vet and they gave him a prescription for ear drops. I was so worried because I could not cancel my trip! I talked to Savannah and she set me at ease that she could give him the meds, and assured me that if she had any issues, she would call me. The second she got the drops in his ears she texted me a pic and I felt so much better. She also took great care of my place and was very prompt about responding to any of my questions. I find it hard to leave Obi and I know can be a little bit of a worrier! Savannah makes me feel at ease because I know she takes her job very seriously. Thank you so much, Savannah. Until next time…”

“Pamela is great! She is punctual and our kitty loves her! She communicates regularly. She even went the extra mile and replaced the batteries in our touch-activated faucet. Thanks Pamela!”

“Tresalyn did a wonderful job looking after my two kitties, especially with one being extremely shy! She made me feel so comfortable leaving them in her care by sending photos, reassuring they have food, water, clean litter, etc. I highly recommend Tresalyn to watch your fur babies!!!”

About: My style is very gentle, understanding, and affectionate, though I am also very clear with boundaries and behaviors. I was a foster parent for Lap Dog Rescue of New Mexico for three years. I have special experience with pregnant dogs and cats, newborns, and I have a big soft spot for senior pets. I am an avid hiker and walker, so your babies will get plenty of exercise! I am a retired childbirth educator, doula, and Hypnotherapist. I am blessed to have my days to myself and am home all day except for errands and hikes. We live in Sun City, Georgetown, Texas. Since I'm retired, my schedule is wide open. Lana, my partner, works full time from home. Our two little 5 year old poodle mixes are used to welcoming and entertaining new furry friends, since they have "fostered" many dogs over the years.

“Cera is amazing! She is kind, very responsive, and flexible. My mind was at ease knowing my cat was in the best hands while I was gone. She kept me updated with lots of adorable pictures and was happy to accommodate a couple other household tasks I asked her to do. I’m so glad to have found her and look forward to using her services in the future.”

“This was my first time using Rover service for my two kitties. I am very pleased with how it worked out. Larry did a great job following directions for my cats care! He send me daily pictures and notes about them- fed them their dinner each night, checked on them, scooped the box and even brought in the mail. I will gladly use Larry again when I travel. Glad to find a nearby neighbor that’s a caring, responsible animal lover. Thanks Larry!”
“We always get so nervous leaving our sweet boy for long periods of time, Kasidy was wonderful in sending pictures and updates that helped put us at ease. She also clearly vocalized her affection for our boy that helped assure he was in good hands with someone who loved spending time with him!”

“One of our dog seriously hurt her leg two days before we were leaving for a week long vacation. Lena stepped in without hesitation to help with meds and provide extra care per our vet's instructions. She made a stressful situation much easier to handle—both for us and our hurt dog! She also took awesome pics!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong cat lover with years of hands-on experience caring for multiple cats, each with their own unique personalities, routines, and quirks. I understand that cats thrive on consistency, patience, and trust—and I take the time to make every visit calm, respectful, and stress-free. I treat every cat as if they were my own, whether that means playful engagement, gentle companionship, or simply giving them space while making sure they’re safe and well cared for. I’m also a full-time mom to an eight-month-old, which has deepened my nurturing nature and attention to detail. Cat care allows me to contribute financially to my household while doing something that truly brings me joy—caring for animals with love, responsibility, and heart. Your cat’s comfort, safety, and happiness will always be my top priority. 🐱💛
About: What sets me apart is my calm, intuitive approach to pet care. I’m the proud human of a poodle with a mohawk and two cats, so I’m fluent in both high-energy zoomies and quiet companionship. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs, whether that’s patient walks, extra reassurance for seniors, or playful engagement for younger pups. I’m especially great with senior pets, shy animals, and pets who need a steady, gentle presence. I don’t rush visits, I don’t overwhelm, and I treat every pet like they’re part of my own pack—because that’s how I’d want mine cared for. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine. I structure my schedule around walks and drop-in visits, allowing plenty of time for each pet so they’re never rushed. Caring for my own dog and cats every day keeps me consistent, attentive, and flexible, and I plan client visits thoughtfully to ensure reliable, calm, and focused care. I care for pets by following their normal routines as closely as possible, whether in my home or in my client’s home. For drop-in visits and walks, I make sure pets are fed, walked, and given plenty of attention and affection, along with any enrichment they enjoy. I pay close attention to safety, cleanliness, and each pet’s comfort, and I always take time to observe their behavior and needs so they feel secure, calm, and well cared for while their owners are away.
“Katie is great! We were anxious to leave our 2 cats (our first time since COVID) for a week, but Katie took great care of them. She sent beautiful photos, made sure they had food/water, played with them, and even checked our mail. When we go out of town again, Katie will definitely be our first pick!”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Montreat
“Janet was absolutely amazing with my dog Boden! He sometimes struggles with separation anxiety, but Janet was able to make him feel so comfortable that he was actually excited to go back to her house for daycare after just one day! Not only did she take great care of him, but she was also fantastic at communicating with me throughout the day, keeping me updated on how Boden was doing. She took him on walks and even to the dog park, which he absolutely loved! Plus, he had the best time playing with her dogs too! I cannot recommend Janet enough - she is truly a wonderful dog caregiver.”

About: I love animals! After having my daughter I opted to pet sit for friends instead of adopting another dog of my own, and it's been a great treat. Now I'm opening up my services to others! I have a great fenced in yard and will make sure your fur-baby gets regular walks around town. I've volunteered with shelters and rescue organizations, and been through a lot of training with my own dogs. I work from home, so am able to provide walks in the morning and evening, and potty breaks throughout the day. I am happy to follow any protocol for care. I am very attentive to pets and they will always be under my watchful eye! Even when outside. I am comfortable crating, or they can have free range in the house.
“Doggy daycare (while on vacation) was a success! Our boys Sunny and Cooper got to spend the whole day with Lindsey’s fam and it was a super easy drop off / pick up right near town. If visiting Black Mountain, definitely recommend Lindsey!”

“Lena did a great job taking care of my pup who had surgery and needed some love while I was gone for long clinical days at the hospital. It gave me peace of mind she was being well taken care of. I will definitely be using Lena again to care for my pups.”
“We were from out of town , camping, and visiting Biltmore. We needed someone to watch our standard Poodle for the day. We booked with Kinsey and it couldn’t have been better. We had issues with our camper and had to reschedule. She was so understanding. We did a pre visit and our boy fell in love! We were able to drop him off and feel so confident that he would have a wonderful day! Will definitely use again if in the area.”

“Jackie and Sammy are great. Loretta loved their backyard and all the walks and cuddles. They truly treated Loretta like she was their own. Would definitely recommend!”

“Alyssa and Bryan took such great care of our two girls and they have come back happy and tired both times we’ve sent them! They kept us updated with photos and letting us know what they had been up to. They asked a lot of thoughtful questions about Zoe and Riley and I’m very happy to have found them to take care of my crew. They have a great space and yard for the dogs to play and explore, which was a big draw for me. Will definitely book them again!”

“My sweet 8 mo old golden retriever, Cedar, had two big days of fun doing daycare at Laird’s home Saturday and Sunday! Beautiful fenced in backyard with lots of room for the pups to play! Cedar came home happy and sleepy. Loved the great communication and photos and videos throughout the day of Cedar living his best life.”

About: Hi! My names Elli, I've been a dog mom for many years now and love my fur babies. I've spent some time doing service dog training years ago so I have a good understanding of dogs and the way they function and learn. I will ensure your pet is well taken care of and has plenty of fun whether I'm walking them, checking on them, or keeping them company while you are away! No dog is too big or small for me to handle and with several great dog parks and walking trails in my area there is always something for us to do. Thanks for reading my "About Me", I hope it answers any questions you may have and puts minds at ease! I am a stay at home mom at the moment. “Our dog Mint came to us as an adult rescue with a tender heart and big separation anxiety. She trembles and cries to ride in a car, uncertain where she’s being taken. On her third visit with Brody, as soon as we turned into his driveway she quieted and started wagging. As I drove away, the rearview mirror showed her dancing around his legs and eagerly running to his front door. Priceless peace of mind!”

“Stephanie was very sweet and patient with my baby and I am so appreciative. She sent me updates throughout the day which I enjoyed. She was accommodating to my hectic schedule.”

About: **About me & my home** Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — they are simply woven into who I am. I hold an associate's degree in pre-veterinary medicine and have volunteered alongside veterinarians, which gave me hands-on clinical experience and a deeper understanding of animal health and behavior. I have spent a lifetime learning what truly makes dogs tick, and it shows in how I care for them. I live with my husband and our Boston Terrier, **Leo** — just the three of us. We are a quiet, dog-loving household with no children or other pets, which means your dog will enjoy a calm, attentive environment from the moment they arrive. Leo is charming, friendly, and absolutely loves meeting new dogs and playing. My husband and I are both devoted dog lovers, so your pup will never be short on affection. I am currently not working, which means I am home all day, every day — your dog will have my complete, undivided attention around the clock. No rushing off to an office, no leaving your pup alone. Just full-time, devoted care. I am also a photographer, so expect an abundance of beautiful, candid photos and videos of your dog throughout their stay — memories you'll want to keep forever. **My approach: quality over quantity, always** I accept one family at a time — this is intentional and non-negotiable. Your dog deserves undivided attention, not a crowded boarding environment. Families with two dogs are warmly welcome; that is the perfect arrangement. Your pets will be treated like family: long walks on beautiful forested trails right from my door, plenty of love, proper nutrition, and full-time human companionship every single day. **Good to know before booking** - I do not accept aggressive dogs under any circumstances. - I do not accept females in heat. - Please bathe your dog before arrival — I have allergies, and a fresh coat makes a meaningful difference. Bathing on arrival is available for an additional fee. - Please bring: crate, bed, bowls, leash, favorite toys, and any medications. - Medication administration fee: 1 medication once/day $3 · twice/day $5 | 2 medications once/day $5 · twice/day $10. - Tell me everything — quirks, anxieties, funny habits, challenging behaviors. I've heard and seen it all, and I never judge. The more you share, the better I can care for your loved one. - Not a good fit for very large or extremely powerful dogs that require exceptional physical strength to handle safely on a leash. **Other pets I can care for:** Turtles · Hamsters · Guinea pigs · Bunnies · Fish · Birds NEW CLIENTS: $20 of your first booking when you use this link to book: https://www.rover.com/sit/linao I am all day at home, doggies will have me around pretty much all the time; except when I go out to run an errand. About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for my own pets—including two large dog breeds and multiple cats. I truly have a huge heart for animals and treat every pet in my care as if they were my own, with patience, attention, and lots of love. I understand the needs of bigger dogs as well as the unique personalities of cats, and I’m comfortable handling a variety of temperaments and routines. I’m also a full-time mom to an eight-month-old, which has only deepened my sense of responsibility, nurturing, and attentiveness. Pet sitting is a meaningful way for me to help support my family financially while doing something I genuinely love—caring for animals like they’re part of my family. 🐾 As a full-time mom working from home, I have flexible daytime availability and can easily accommodate regular pet check-ins and walks throughout the day. I’m home-based, dependable, and able to give pets consistent attention rather than rushed visits. With enough advance notice, overnight house sitting is absolutely an option as well, allowing me to provide extended, attentive care when needed. I care for pets with the same attention, respect, and love I give my own. I follow each pet’s established routine closely—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions—to help them feel safe and comfortable. In a client’s home, I prioritize calm, low-stress visits, keeping their space clean and their pet happy, exercised, and well cared for. Whether it’s active play, gentle companionship, or simply being a reassuring presence, I tailor my care to each pet’s needs and personality, treating every animal as if they were part of my family.
“Marti was very kind and professional during the meet with Sadie. Sadie loved her. Sadie loves to sniff while walking and Marti was thoughtful enough to go slow and careful. We will definitely hire her again when the need arises. Thanks Marti.”
About: I have grown up with animals my whole life. I’m a pre-veterinary major and love all sorts of creatures. Want to care for animals while in school! I’ve dog and cat sat many times, dog walked, bathed, fed, and more for many different people such as friends, family, and neighbors. When at home, I not only spend time with my two dogs, but I also help to care for them by feeding them, giving them their medicine, taking them on walks, giving them baths, and just loving on them. I have a special touch with animals and understand that trust between the animal is key. I let them come to me and adjust at their pace. Always approach with love and care and treat them how I do my own!
“Kyle did a great job with Patches. He was very responsive and took lots of pictures of Patches. He helped feed and walk her while I was out of town. He did a great job keeping Patches calm and making sure she got lots of walks. I would highly recommend.”

“Alex is an absolute gem- he is so kind with both our animals (even the one he’s not hired to care for!). He is very thorough and let me know each thing he did at our house. He we will definitely book with him again in the future 🙂 Thanks so much Alex!”

About: I grew up riding horses and spending most of my free time at the barn, where I eventually started working and gained years of experience with all kinds of animals, especially dogs. I’ve house-sat countless times for my former trainer, taking care of her four Dobermans, along with other pets and farm animals. When she began breeding Dobermans, I was hands-on in raising several litters, giving me extensive puppy care experience. This past summer I was the head caretaker and instructor for five Golden Doodle puppies at a girls’ summer camp. I managed their feeding schedules, socialization, crate training, and daily care. I also have a strong foundation in animal health and behavior from both school and hands-on work in animal-focused environments. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from high-energy puppies to older dogs who just want some gentle company. I’m confident, reliable, and genuinely love being around dogs. I’d be honored to care for yours like they’re my own! I attend Warren Wilson College, which is a work college meaning I work 12 hours a week on campus in addition to my classes. Despite that, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to consistently prioritize pet care. My mornings are free until 10am, and my evenings open up after 6pm throughout the week. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits Monday through Friday, and I can board or house-sit over the weekends (Friday–Sunday). Because I’m used to balancing school, work, and animal care, I’m reliable and great at time management. I truly enjoy building pet care into my routine- it’s something I look forward to! I’m happy to work around your schedule and your pet’s needs as much as possible. My approach to pet care always depends on what makes your animal feel safest and most comfortable. For cats, I follow their lead- whether that means quiet companionship, lots of play, or giving them space. I’m happy to stick to any routine they’re used to, and I’ll make sure they feel secure, relaxed, and well cared for in your home. With dogs, I’m naturally very active and love spending time outdoors. There’s a beautiful creek and plenty of trails near my school, and- if you’re comfortable with it- I’d love to take your pup out for some light adventuring and enrichment! I’m also totally happy to stick to their normal walking route and routine if that’s what they’re used to. I’m attentive, always respectful of your preferences, and always focused on keeping your pet safe, happy, and well loved.
“Not a single complaint from my sweet lady! She was a happy girl while I way away. I was able to book last minute with no issue (which was amazing). Very good at communicating, responded in minutes. Would recommend and will book again.”

I am not quite ready to get a new dog but would love to spend time with some furry friends with my current flexibility! I work from home, my husband works a lot and my 16 year old is busy being a teenager. I’m very flexible and can do doggy walks, overnights stays and even host dogs at my house. I have no current pets. I have a fenced in yard and a great neighborhood for walking dogs! Working from home allows plenty of time for extra snuggles and playing.

“This was by far the best sitter I’ve ever had. The booking was a breeze the communication and everything went well. My pup was happy met other dogs and I appreciate you guys going over and beyond!!!”

“Toby had a great weekend with Ali and Penny. Ali took great care of him, gave frequent updates, and went above and beyond in her flexibility and taking care of our boy. Will definitely be asking her to watch Toby again next time I need a sitter.”

About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, one sassy cat, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. If you’re looking for a medically experienced caretaker for your kids, I’m your gal! *also have grooming experience with medical needs animals I just moved to the Asheville area, so Im excited to explore around. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my daily schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.
“This is my first time using Rover and we had a wonderful experience with Michelle. From the pictures we received our dog Levi looked like he was on vacation too. He loved swimming in the doggie pool and his hikes. It makes you time away so much more enjoyable when you know your dog is being so well cared for”

“Buddy had the best time with Kyle and her pup, Louie. They were all fast friends. Kyle was flexible and communicative before and during his stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her again!”

“Miranda is awesome with our pup! She asked all the right questions to hear our preferences and to make us all comfortable with the stay. She send a perfect number of pics/videos/messages to let us know how he was doing. Our little guy came back rested and happy. Thank you, Miranda!!”

“Amy and her 8 Year old daughter were so loving and entertaining for our two dogs, Arlo and Otis. Both of our dogs love long walks and lots of love and enjoyed their stay with Amy and CeCe. We had a meet and greet a few days before we dropped the boys off and both dogs liked Amy and her daughter right away. Amy has a wonderful fenced in yard and close to town for great options for dog walks. We will definitely use her again on our next trip out of town.”
