About: Hi! I'm Brooklyn, and I've been around dogs my entire life. I've cared for my own Bulldog and Pitbull/Mastiff mix, giving me experience with both strong, energetic dogs and more relaxed companions. I understand that every dog has their own personality and routine, and I pride myself on being dependable, patient, and attentive to their needs. Whether your pup needs a long walk, some exercise, or just a little extra love and attention while you're away, I'll treat them like one of my own. I also love sending photo updates so you can feel confident your furry friend is in great hands! I'm available for dog walking on weekends and enjoy spending my free time outdoors. Whether your pup needs a quick walk, extra exercise, or some fresh air and attention while you're busy, I'd love to help. I strive to be reliable, punctual, and flexible so both you and your dog have a great experience. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. During walks, I'll always keep your dog securely leashed, follow any instructions you provide, and pay close attention to their behavior and surroundings. I'm experienced with larger breeds and understand the importance of staying alert, using proper leash handling, and ensuring every walk is both safe and enjoyable. I'll also provide updates and photos so you can feel confident your pup is in good hands.
“Whitney is AMAZING with my puppy. He’s 2 months old and a lot of work but she’s sooo good and patient with him. She’s very reliable and punctual. I love getting his pictures and a summary throughout the day while they are on their walks. She’s such an animal lover. My puppy and my kitty just love her. I trust her and recommend her 100%.”
“Sarah has been a staple in our house for almost a year now! She’s so great with Milo and he loves his walks with her. She is so responsive to every message and always sends cute pictures at the end of every visit :). Couldn’t recommend her enough.”

About: I’ve loved animals of all kinds since I was a kid! For the last 8 years I have worked as a veterinary assistant working hands on with pets of all kinds including anxious pets, special needs pets, and geriatric pets. I’m comfortable giving medications or following specific directions for pets that need just a little more attention. I of course love pets of all ages whether that’s playing with young pets or giving older pets more accommodations. I’m currently working part-time at an animal clinic, so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your pet! I go for walks twice daily already and your pet would make a perfect addition! I live in an apartment with my 13 year old cat, Juliet. Juliet is a very sweet cat but will typically hide when other pets are boarded in the home. My apartment is located in the Volker neighborhood with parks and plenty of walking trails nearby. For in home boarding, pets are welcome on my furniture including the bed. I am happy to follow any and all requests for boarding / caretaking inside your home, including giving medications either orally or injectables.

“Kat was amazing. My girl is scared being normally a country dog moving to the city. Kat was patient and kind with her. Ms Lagertha just adores her. Kat is a wealth of knowledge and provided me with some tips and tricks to help. I would recommend her a 1000%.”

About: I grew up on a family farm in Iowa, raising beef cattle, chickens, dogs, cats, horses and the occasional raccoon! I have experience from bottlefeeding newborn baby animals up to senior pets. My schedule varies weekly. I am a professional photographer that works on site and from home. My “home work” location is flexible as long as I have Wi-Fi! I can be fairly flexible with times as well as staying with your pet. For pets in my home, I live in an apartment with my boyfriend and there’s a river trail nearby for longer walks along with a pet area at my complex. I have previously stayed at and checked daily friends, family, and clients homes while they’re out of town/at work to care for their pets as well as farm animals. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Kansas City
Wow! Derek is great. My boys, an exuberant Cardigan Welsh Corgi and a reserved Aussie foster, both enjoyed their walks with him. I can recommend Derek without reservation. He is very professional and easy to work with. Most importantly, he has a great way with dogs. You can trust Derek with your cherished companion.

Kushi was absolutely amazing! She was able to accommodate me and my dog last minute this weekend due to a medical procedure, and I truly don’t know what I would have done without her. She was incredibly attentive to all the details, right on time, and super responsive with communication from start to finish. She really showed up for us when we needed her most, and that kind of reliability and care means everything. I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in such good hands. I can’t recommend Kushi enough!

- 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
