About: I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and love them more than people so let me put all my dog-loving energy into spoiling yours! I work in education so am off during summer break (all of June through mid-July) and available to meet your dogs needs whether it’s a puppy working on training or a senior who needs to take it slow :) I work full time in education so have long break availability (winter and summer break). During the school year, I am mostly only available on weekends but can be flexible with some evenings during the week. Just let me know what you need! I will be respectful of your space when in your home. I can come in and out or sit and stay awhile to keep your pup company.

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and it seemed the family dogs always gravitated toward me. I can’t imagine life without them! I’ve been caring for other’s dogs ever since I got my drivers license. The first dog I watched for a family (a beautiful Alaskan husky) had diabetes and required diabetic shots twice a day. Even though it hurt to have to give him shots, I loved having the opportunity to care for dogs other than my own. Since then I’ve had the opportunity of being the go-to dog watcher for several families with several different dog (and cat) breeds. I will make every effort to give your dog the same care that I was able to give Skyler and the rest of the dogs I’ve had the great fortune of watching and taking care of. There’s not many things that give me more joy than spending time with dogs. Now that I have more time on my hands in my 30’s I have recently gotten connected with volunteering with KC Pet Project. Dogs deserve all the love in the world. I currently work from home Monday and Friday so in addition to the weekend, it opens up availability to be present for the doggie. I’m in the office Tuesday - Thursday but available for morning/evening and quick bathroom breaks over lunch. I have a fenced in backyard and ample space inside the house to make your dog comfortable. I can crate if needed, but also have rooms that can function as “dog” rooms for the periods when I need to leave the house. I have my own Belgian Malinois, who mostly does her own thing. :)

About: With a lifelong love for furry companions, my pet care journey has been shaped by the joyous company of a Labrador and a Chihuahua, both cherished members of my family since their puppy days. This hands-on experience has instilled in me patience, a positive approach, and an unwavering commitment to providing animals with engaging and fulfilling experiences. I am dedicated to extending this passion to your beloved pets, ensuring they receive the utmost care, attention, and joyful moments during our time together. I have flexibility in my day to stretch my legs and accompany your dog on a walk prior to work, during my lunch, or after work. When I take dogs for a walk, I make sure to stay attentive to their requirements. I make a conscious effort to prevent any reactive situations for the dog, strive to make the walk enjoyable by incorporating numerous grassy sniffing areas, and remain consistently vigilant to ensure a positive and pleasant experience for the dog.

About: I have loved and owned animals as long as I can remember. I was raised with dogs, and other small animals! My daughter and I lost our Ollie in August 2022 at 4 years old to lung cancer and would love to care for your pet until we are ready for our next family member. I am comfortable taking care of pets of any age. I can provide food and water bowls, blankets, dog beds, stuffed toys, and I have a medium size kennel. All you need to bring is food, treats, leash/harness and any special comfort items. My daughter loves to go outside every chance she gets so they will have a lot of outside time when the weather permits. They will be allowed to roam the house as they want and are allowed on furniture – like I said- spoiled. I love to send pictures while you are gone to share their adventures while they are here. I do work for the school district 11am-1:30pm but I will be around a majority of the time to play and take care of your family member while they are here. Any drop offs and pick ups will need to be before 9am or after 2:30pm I have a fenced in yard – it is a short fence so fence jumpers are probably not the best fit for me. We can crate them when we are gone if needed and will do our best to stick to their regular routine.

About: Hi! My name is Lyrik. As a lifelong animal lover with 5 years of professional experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to look after your furry family members. Whether it's daily walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, I treat every pet like they're my own — with love, patience, and plenty of playtime! At home, I’m a proud pet parent to two dogs, Honey (2) and Gigi (7), and one sassy cat named Callie (4). They’ve taught me so much about different pet personalities, needs, and the importance of creating a calm, loving environment. I’m experienced with dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and personalities. From high-energy pups to shy senior kitties, I’m attentive to each pet’s unique needs. I’m also CPR/First Aid certified for pets and can administer medications if needed. Reliable communication, timely updates, and lots of photos are part of the experience when your pet is in my care. I want you to feel confident and relaxed while you're away. Let’s schedule a meet-and-greet — I’d love to connect and learn all about your pet’s routine, quirks, and favorite treats! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine! I work full-time remotely, which gives me the flexibility to schedule visits throughout the day. I also babysit my niece and nephew twice a week, but I always make sure to plan my pet care visits around those times. I’m available early in the morning, during my lunch break, and after work, so I can provide consistent, timely care. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my approach is the same: create a calm, loving, and safe environment where your pet feels comfortable and secure. I follow any instructions closely and stick to your pet’s usual routine as much as possible — including feeding times, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any medication needs. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and keep things clean and tidy. I make sure your pet feels cared for, not just watched. I give them plenty of attention, snuggles (if they want them!), and engagement. I also send regular updates with photos so you always know how your pet is doing. If caring for pets in my own home, I make sure it’s a safe and welcoming space. My pets — Honey, Gigi, and Callie — are well-socialized, and I always do a slow, supervised introduction to make sure everyone gets along comfortably. I monitor all interactions closely to ensure an stress-free environment.

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I had my own dog for 15 wonderful years and currently have a cat, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets while they're away. I'm comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and routines, and I'm happy to follow any special instructions to help them feel safe and comfortable. As a high school teacher, I'm dependable, patient, and detail-oriented. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention and care. I'll also send regular photo and text updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is in good hands. I treat every pet as if they were my own and every home with the same respect I would want for mine. I currently have a flexible summer schedule with plenty of availability for pet care. Starting August 10, I'll be available evenings, weekends, holidays, and school breaks. I keep my calendar up to date and will always communicate clearly about my availability. • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
