“Jessica has been amazing with Ace! I broke my leg and needed some extra help to take care of him throughout the day! She has gone above and beyond. She is super responsive. I appreciate that she could come and help out very last minute! Would highly recommend booking with her as she knows what she’s doing and really loves the fur babies!”

About: I have cared for my friend’s dogs while they are away many times. I enjoy providing animals with enrichment and making sure they get ample exercise. I am careful around new dogs to let them show me what kind of care they prefer, and strive to make my time with them as enjoyable as possible for both of us. I have full time evening employment. I am available to care for pets Sunday-Thursday 9am to 2pm (meaning my latest available visit would start at 1:30pm for an 30 min visit), and All day Fridays and Saturdays! I have lots of experience with sneaky animals who love eating things they are not supposed to eat or hiding in places they should not be. I am diligent with putting away foodstuffs and making sure doors/ screens are shut. Please let me know if your pet has these behaviors so I can be prepared before the visit.
“Came over the day before to meet Sawyer. Went for walk on trail near my house even though I said they could just walk the neighborhood. Went above and beyond, would book again!”

About: Hi, I’m Chris! Dogs have always been a huge part of my life—I’ve spent 30+ years caring for pets for friends and family and I volunteer at a local shelter as a dog walker. I work from home and now have the flexibility to spend more time doing what I love: keeping good dogs (and cats) company. Your dog will get plenty of attention, care, and a walk they’ll look forward to. With a work-from-home schedule, I’m able to offer flexible, attentive care for your pup. We regularly walk around Loose Park and the Plaza and would love to include your dog. When visiting your home, I make sure each walk is tailored to your neighborhood and your dog’s routine. I provide a safe, structured, and attentive environment tailored to each dog’s needs. I take the time to understand your pet’s routine—feeding, exercise, and any specific preferences—so they feel comfortable and cared for from the start. In your home, I’m respectful and detail-oriented, ensuring doors, gates, and leashes are handled carefully at all times. Walks are attentive and controlled, with a focus on safety, awareness, and your dog’s comfort level. With my background in shelter volunteering, I’m experienced with a range of temperaments and prioritize calm, positive interactions. I also provide regular updates, so you can feel confident your dog is in good hands while you’re away.
“Caleb was outstanding. He was so patient with my dog and took the time to allow him to get comfortable before taking him out for a walk the first time. I appreciated Caleb’s kindness and knowing how to respond appropriately to my dog. I’ve already planned more walking appointments with him. Highly recommend!”

About: I have taken care of friends and neighbors animals since a young age. I have grown up around animals because of living on a farm. I only work 3 days a week, so have availability on my off days. I would love to fill those off days with caring for your animal. I am experienced with dog walking with dogs either knowing how to heel or those that pull. I am comfortable with keeping animals safe on walks and during play.
“Kimball is wonderful! She happily met our pup beforehand and was very professional and attentive to her needs. She did a great job of walking her and loving on her, making sure she got a good walk in while we are at work.”
About: I’m an animal lover, and have had pets throughout my entire life, primarily dogs and cats but also small animals. I have house sat and pet sat for friends and co-workers on occasion if they leave to go on vacation. I would help feed, walk, clean up after, and play with dogs and cats. I would love to provide love and care for your fur babies while you’re away! Every morning I make sure my pets have food and water before leaving for work for the day. When I get home from work, I will make sure I clean up any messes and do a manual cycle on the Litter Robot. In the evening, I provide my cats with some wet food (primarily pate) as their evening meal. For my cats, I make sure my cats always stay inside to prevent pests and injuries/illnesses. About: Hi, I’m Sandy! 🐾 I have over 8 years of experience caring for dogs for friends, family, and clients. As a lifelong dog lover and dog owner myself, I understand that pets are family and deserve to be treated with love, patience, and attention. In addition to raising and caring for my own dogs, I worked at a doggy daycare in Los Angeles for a year and a half after COVID, where I gained hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. Before moving to Kansas City, I also provided in-home care for an Celebrity’s Pomeranian, staying at the owner’s home to ensure their pet felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for while they were away. Since relocating to Kansas City, I’ve cared for two Afghan Hounds through overnight house sitting, including a senior dog that required extra attention and care. Whether your pet is young and energetic or older and needs a gentler approach, I am committed to providing reliable, loving care tailored to their needs. I’m also a proud first-time cat owner and have experience cat sitting for friends in Los Angeles. I understand that cats need patience, comfort, and personalized care to feel safe and happy while you’re away. 🐾 My goal is to make both pets and owners feel comfortable, confident, and stress-free while they’re apart. I treat every dog as if they were my own and look forward to meeting your furry family member! Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of maintaining routines, providing exercise, playtime, companionship, and lots of love. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the attention they deserve, whether it's daily visits, walks, overnight stays, or extended care. I make it a priority to keep owners updated and ensure their pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while they're away. My top priority is making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their familiar environment. I follow each pet's routine closely, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions provided by the owner. With experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, cats, and multiple breeds, I understand that every pet has unique needs. When house sitting, I treat both your pet and your home with the utmost respect, providing attentive care, companionship, and regular updates for your peace of mind.
About: Flexible availability. I have been around all sorts of dogs from tiny Yorkies to big Newfoundlands! I love giving dogs the love and attention they deserve! I have experience with puppies and senior dogs so no dog is too much to handle! I had a high maintenance yorkie and a very energetic pitbull mix so I am comfortable with dogs of any temperament, size and shape. I’m very patient and will do everything to gain your pets trust and make sure that they’re very comfortable around me. I look forward to meeting and loving your furry friend! I work from home most weekdays and just moved to the downtown KC area. I work from home 2-3 days of the week and am in the office 2-3 days. During the week I am able to care for your pet before 7:30, between 12-1, and after 5:30. When I am working from home I’m more flexible. Weekends I am fully available! I have a small fenced yard your pup can run around in by themselves or with my own very friendly and submissive dog! When in your home I will respect any and all rules you have for your pet and make sure any messes are cleaned up and organized once I leave.
About: I've been relied upon by neighbors for years to dog-sit, dog-walk, and pet-sit for cats as well. I'm a big lover of all animals and grew up with dogs, cats, and even chickens! I started caring for these animals at an early age, handling tasks such as feeding, scooping litter, picking up dog droppings, and cleaning the chicken coop. We have an old cat with kidney and heart problems ourselves who needs to be pilled and have a cream applied to his ear twice a day. I understand how our pets are, quite literally, additional family members to the household, and I recognize the importance of ensuring they are loved and cared for, just like all of us!!! I’m a huge fan of walking and this fits into my daily and weekly routine. I also love the social aspect of meeting new people and pets are ALWAYS the best way to meet new people! I can easily drive to your home to walk your dog in the your neighborhood. I’m gentle, friendly and love a big scratch on an animals bottom(if they are welcome to it of course!)
Mount Hope dog parents share their Rover experiences
Vanessa was wonderful to work with! She was easy to communicate with and incredibly accommodating, especially with my last-minute request. We had to make a few adjustments due to the weather, but communication was seamless and she was very flexible throughout the process. I really appreciated how easy she made everything, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and responsive sitter/walker. Thanks again, Vanessa! 🐾😊

Wow! Derek is great. My boys, an exuberant Cardigan Welsh Corgi and a reserved Aussie foster, both enjoyed their walks with him. I can recommend Derek without reservation. He is very professional and easy to work with. Most importantly, he has a great way with dogs. You can trust Derek with your cherished companion.
Kushi was absolutely amazing! She was able to accommodate me and my dog last minute this weekend due to a medical procedure, and I truly don’t know what I would have done without her. She was incredibly attentive to all the details, right on time, and super responsive with communication from start to finish. She really showed up for us when we needed her most, and that kind of reliability and care means everything. I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in such good hands. I can’t recommend Kushi enough!

After Melissa watch Nelson earlier this summer, I knew it would be a great fit for her to come by on a day where we were gonna be out of the house for over 12 hours. It’s such a relief to know that Nelson is happy with Melissa and that she wouldn’t be alone for the whole time! P.S she always takes the best pictures!!
