“My dog Maggie loves Noelle. Noelle is friendly and spends a lot of time with Maggie and my cat. She sends good photos & I feel that my pets and my property are safe with her.”

“Taylor took care of Charly very well, even being able to send me photos of my very shy cat. She also handled a difficult situation with tenacity and determination while I was away, for which I am very grateful. Taylor did an excellent job.”

“Samantha was a wonderful sitter for my two girl cats. They’re very particular princesses, but they warmed up to her quickly. Samantha set up advance time with me ahead of my trip to meet the cats and walk through their needs, and also was flexible with pilling one of my cats daily. Her updates were a highlight of my trip and will absolutely book her for any future trips!”

“Keesha was a great sitter! She was took amazing care of our 12 year old Maine Coon. The daily drop ins for food, water and treats was just what our grumpy old man needed during our quick weekend away. Daily updates/photos put our minds at ease knowing he was in great hands. Highly recommend Keesha to care for your fur baby! We 100% will be using her again soon!”

“Morgan was great! She was able to help out on short notice and during her visits, she left detailed updates. I felt very comfortable knowing my husky, Bolt was in great hands while I was away.”

“Jasmine has been a lifesaver for the 2 kitties! They were available on short notice and have gone above and beyond to help with the cats health needs. Jasmine was communicative and sent lots of photos! I would highly recommend Jasmine!!”

“Susan is hands down the BEST pet setter we’ve ever had!!! We had a bit of an ant problem while we were out of town for the weekend—Susan offered to pick us up some ant baits from Home Depot since she was planning on going the next day anyways (this was on my to-do list, but I didn’t have time to get them before we left for our trip, so I was so stoked to see her kind offer in my messages!) Not only did she buy us ant baits, but she carefully + creatively placed them around our kitchen, making sure our cat wouldn’t be able to reach them. Thank you, Susan!”

“Taylor did a fantastic job with my kitties! They both came out for her. She spent lots of quality time with them. My home looked and smelled clean when we got home from vacation, which never happens. She refilled my auto feeder when it got low and kept on top of the wet food and water refills. She even ran the vacuum and swept up litter kicked out of the box by my crazy young one. 10/10 recommend!”

“Rafaela was amazing with my two cats. They are anxious (like me) and they were comfortable with her immediately (rolled on their backs for belly rubs) which made me comfortable. She sent great photos and updates, communicated thoroughly, and I felt confident that the cats were well taken care of. When we met to exchange keys, she asked thorough questions and made sure she was prepared with all instructions. Rafaela is really kind, has a gentle energy with pets, and definitely understands how much humans cherish their animal companions. If I need a petsitter in the future, I'm definitely contacting her again. Highly recommend!”

“Nicole is amazing! My cat was super happy when I came back from vacation- the #1 sign of an excellent pet sitter! I will keep Nicole in mind for the future. 💯”

About: I was raised taking care of cats and dogs from the time I could walk. I recently moved to the area and I would love to spend some time with your animal. I currently work an 8-4 maybe a little longer on some days, so I would be able to stop in after I get home at four or anytime on the weekend! I will be able to come over for drop in visits and give your pets a potty break and some attention or anything that’s you need to make yourself and your animals more comfortable!
About: **Cats-only boarding + Dog walking + Drop-ins** Adopted my fur baby over 2 years ago and have been in charge of pet sitting for my friends, since! I know the stress of leaving my pet in others’ care too well, so be prepared for daily proof-of-life pics from me 🤗 I’m also a type a med student, so you best bet my place is cat-proofed and i quadruple check anything that will come in contact with the pets ‼️ Pets will receive personalized attention based on need, but I will have my own cat here as well!! She’s very social and sweet, so she enjoys company. I have a room for your baby to acclimate slowly if need be :) My apartment has a pet elevator and areas to walk dogs, as well. I have a pretty flexible schedule this year, so I will be available at home for most of the weekend and weekday afternoons-evenings. I might skip breakfast if I wake up late, but keeping pet food out is non-negotiable ‼️ I clean litter boxes, groom, brush teeth daily. No cat-toxic plants in environment and all cabinets with household supplies are pet-proofed. Have a cat tree, cat tunnels, and plenty of places for cats to perch and scratch. I use Feliway Multicat calming diffusers to ease introduction between cats. I have experience giving my cat oral medications, training her to use an inhaler as well. My place is kept clean with a cleaning robot and weekly deep cleans.
“Theresa is a superstar!! We mistakenly gave her a key that didn’t work and she went above and beyond to get the correct key while we were out of town. Felt terrible that we had made such a big mistake but she was very reassuring that she wasn’t going to give up on our pets. She sent us a bunch of sweet pictures every day and a very detailed update that left us feeling at ease and sure that our pets were safe, cared for, and getting lots of attention. Great communication from start to finish, we felt like she took care of our little ones as well or better than friends/family!”

About: I grew up on a family farm in Iowa, raising beef cattle, chickens, dogs, cats, horses and the occasional raccoon! I have experience from bottlefeeding newborn baby animals up to senior pets. My schedule varies weekly. I am a professional photographer that works on site and from home. My “home work” location is flexible as long as I have Wi-Fi! I can be fairly flexible with times as well as staying with your pet. For pets in my home, I live in an apartment with my boyfriend and there’s a river trail nearby for longer walks along with a pet area at my complex. I have previously stayed at and checked daily friends, family, and clients homes while they’re out of town/at work to care for their pets as well as farm animals. I have a wide array of experience working with different animals from regular in-home pets to many farm animals with feeding, walking, and giving medication if needed.

“Evey has been terrific with my little rescue Marco. He is frightened of many things but continues to open up with each visit she makes. I do not worry when I am at work because I know he is enjoying her daily visits.”

About: I am new to Rover but I have watched my friends and families dogs over the past few years. I live with my girlfriend and am a dog dad to 2 senior dogs named Roxy and Andrew. As a UMKC business student, I'm hoping to start my own doggy daycare business in the future with my girlfriend and figured Rover would be a great place to start! My dogs are 2 of the most important things in my life and I make sure they know it. At my home your pet will be no different and I hope to become part of their extended family away from home. At my home I will be making sure your pup is comfortable, happy, and enjoys their stay. They will get plenty of potty breaks and exercise in as well as all the R&R that their heart desires. My pups love meeting new friends that they can lounge around with as well. My house is always dog safe and I will always make sure to keep you updated. I currently live with my girlfriend and I've had a dog since 2010. I have 2 senior pups named Roxy and Andrew who are currently living their best life. I make sure that they are fed twice a day with some snacks or treats in between. On nice days I make sure they get enough exercise in the back yard or at the park. I have plenty of dog toys for your little one to play with. We can do a meet and greet as well to make sure everything is perfect during your stay.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kansas City
Noelle is fantastic! She's very nice and took great care of my cats while we were gone. She sent me wonderful pics of them playing so I had total peace of mind while she was looking after them. I'll be booking her to drop in on my pets for as long as she's available to do it!

Regan did a wonderful job with the drop in visits. My dog really liked him and my shyest cat came out to see him, which I consider a good sign. Regan also made sure the feral cats had food and water as requested. Sent me photos & quick updates. I would love to hire Regan again when I go out of town.

Derek was great to work with!! Our cat Rini really liked him and he greeted her immediately when he came to our house for an introduction. He shared a few photos during his check in visits and was prompt in responding when we had questions and while setting up the visits. We will definitely ask Derek to check in with our cat in the future!

Jennifer is an absolute sweetheart and Louie loves having her as a sitter. He even goes to his kennel all by himself while I'm getting ready for work. She checks in regularly and gives me photo updates. The most important thing is that she gives him the care and attention I'm not able to give him while I'm at work. I book with her every week because I'm so happy with the way she takes care of my baby boy.

We had an excellent experience with Kara! From beginning to end, communication was prompt and meticulous. While we were away, she kept us completely at ease by sending lots of photos and detailed updates after each in-home visit. We especially appreciated how thorough she was in describing how each of our cats was doing—their moods, eating habits, playtime, and any little personality quirks that came up. She took the time to get to know our animals individually and cared about their comfort and routine. We would absolutely book with Kara again and recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and communicative pet sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
