“This was my first time using Rover and Mya made the experience amazing! I will definitely be using her again. My dog is very shy and not good with strangers but Mya took her time to be patient and calming. My dog started warming up to her very fast and I belive dogs have a good judge of character ;)”

About: I have a wide range of experience with dogs, cats, reptiles and small animals. I have owned cats, dogs, mice, rats, geckos, birds, fish, ferrets and rabbits. I currently have several cats of my own and they are treated like they are my kids. I have alot of experience with feral cats and cats with behavioral issues. I have a cat who is diabetic so I have experience in giving insulin shots. I also have experience with and own both FIV+ and FeLV+ cats. I have experience in medicating cats as well, as I have several on medication in my home. I work overnights Sunday through Thursday. I have my own cats and a few fosters, we have a set routine with breakfast and medications when I get home. In the evenings is playtime, social and cuddle time. Then before I go to work at night, they are all tucked in with a special treat before I leave. I like to stick to routine with my cats, it helps them feel safe and makes everything run smoother in a multi pet home. I am available in the evenings to help with your pet(s) Sunday through Thursday and on Fridays and Saturdays I have a very flexible schedule and can work with almost any times of the day/evening/afternoons. I also am available during holidays. I assure you your pet is safe in my hands. I do alot of work behind the scenes with friends in rescue and have alot of hands on experience with handling and caring for animals safely. My home environment is safe and clean. I am trust-worthy and kind, and I love all living things. I have to pass background checks for the type of work I do, so I have a clean background. I may be able to board cats on occasion under certain circumstances. If it is short term boarding, I have a nice sized bathroom that they could have the freedom of staying in there with me. I have leukemia positive cats in my home so this would keep them safely in their own area without exposure to my cats. They would have their own clean litter box and food bowls and lots of toys/and amenities will staying in the "Paula's luxury bathroom suite"!
“Kate has been such a blessing, again! She is absolutely fantastic with our Duke, sends detailed updates on every visit and goes above and beyond to take care of our guy. We will always request Kate for care, she’s the best!”

“Joseph was so kind to meet our pups ahead of time. They were well taken care of while we were away for the day. we did not worry about our pups. Lots of communication with pictures. Thank you Joseph!!”

“Kat was terrific to work with. She took the time to come over and meet our two bulldogs, so she and they were familiar with things. Kat even did things like keep the dog's play area picked up and safe, which was very kind of her to do. My wife and I travel several times a year and would absolutely use her again to sit for us.”
“Emily promptly responded to my initial request for drop-in services for our cat. She was attentive to our cat’s needs and updated us accordingly. Our kitty enjoyed her very much!!”

“Maggie has been excellent with Oliver. She even checked to make sure he was up to date on his tick prevention as some of the grass is tall. One walk after it had rained she dried him off prior to the end of her visit. I would definitely recommend her for all your fur babies!!!”

About: Hi, I am Tricia and i have had dogs all my life. I love pets very much and have worked at local animal shelters. Working in animal welfare has graced me with all sorts of experience with all types of animal behaviors and personalities. I also have lots of animal medical experience. I have worked with animals with aggression, separation anxiety, seizures, deaf, shy and fearful and much more. I can also medicate animals in any way needed. I am experienced in giving shots and pilling animals. Basic training is something I like to work on with all animals as I believe it helps them not only build their confidence but also keeps their mind busy and wears them out! Please let me know if I can help you out! I am currently working from home meaning I can spend tons of time with your pups staying at my home! We also love to go get pup cups often! I have a fenced yard and dogs that also love other dogs. My house is centered around dogs with lots of comfy beds, toys and other fun stuff!

About: I'm retired, so I'm available most of the time. I have worked with two different German Shepherd Rescues as a foster mom. I also volunteer at the local regional animal shelter. I have helped train many dogs over the years. I also have quite a bit of cat experience, as well as birds, fish (both salt and freshwater tanks) and reptiles, I enjoy cats, and find that they are all very unique. I enjoy being a pet sitter, providing safety and love for them while their parents are away. I offer FREE MEET & GREETS! (A Meet & Greet is necessary for the first visit, no exceptions). Also, I need 3 days advance notice in order to consider your pet for boarding. I have many reviews in my profile from past sitting jobs. Thanks I am retired and available as noted on my calendar. I make every attempt to feed dogs and cats at the same time as the owners. I find that keeping pets on a schedule helps them to feel safe and comfortable when their owners are away. My dog, Sky, is AKC "Star Puppy" and "Advanced Obedience" trained. I have a strong skill set for helping anxious dogs. I understand how to keep a pet engaged, both in general play and affection.
“Kody took care of my two pugs for almost a month and he goes beyond what I ask him to do, he walks them late night and played with them after, he is also very easy to talk to, willing to do stuff that is not part of the job. Definitely someone I will be calling again the next time I will go out of town. Thank you very much”

About: I've had dogs for as long as I can remember. Very rarely do I find a dog or cat I can't connect with, and I am a very patient and admittedly stubborn person that just wants to be friendly with every pet I encounter. I've taken care of puppies who have worms all the way to senior dogs who gotta take their medication every day to stay healthy for as long as possible. On weekdays, I work from home 7:30AM-4PM. It's a very lax job where I can be hands off of my computer for the most part and take care of important things like pet care. Otherwise, my schedule is generally free. I'll happily watch, feed, play, walk, and take pets to go potty as often as necessary. I'll be sure to attempt to gain their trust while I'm taking care of them because they should be able to relax too while their owner is away. And if they are aloof, then I'll keep and eye on them and make sure to keep a comfortable distance.
About: I currently have my own pets that require varying levels of needs from upset tummies and picky eaters to highly anxious and severe food allergies: keeping your pet happy and healthy will be no different from the level of care my pets get at home! Medication schedules, allergies, or a full house of pets is no different from my day to day life! Before now, I have been in the Human Resources industry for 10 years, so you can also expect a highly optimistic, reliable, problem solver on your team! For house sitting, I stay home with your pets around the clock 💖 Please let me know if you can't find an affordable sitter for your loved ones and I'd be happy to find a solution that works for us! I currently can be very flexible and open! I'm available over the weekdays, weekends, and holidays as well! Let me know what you and your pets needs are and I'll always work to prioritize keeping you and your pets on the schedule you prefer! I believe the best care starts with trust. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and comfort level so they feel safe and at ease in their own environment. Whether it’s quiet patience, playful energy, or gentle reassurance, I meet every animal where they are to create a calm, loving space they can rely on too. Please let me know what your pronouns are too in your first booking request! It's completely alright if you'd like to leave it out 😊
“Kristina was wonderful! She loved my dog and you could tell she loves all animals! My vacation was extended, unexpectedly, due to an hospital admission. and she even picked up the extra shifts which helped alleviate my stress immensely. So I highly recommend Kristina!”

I had a great experience with Jessica and would absolutely book with them again. They were reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about my cat’s comfort and well-being. I really appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. My cats were happy and well cared for when I returned, and everything was left clean and tidy. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive sitter!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
