With the exclusion of running errands, while your dog is with me, they will never be left alone for more than a few hours extended amount of time. I have a fenced in back yard for your dog to run free in. I also have a senior chihuahua who is very chill and unbothered, so as long as your dog likes other dogs, they will get along just fine. I do let dogs sit on the couch and get on the bed, however, I will respect that boundary if you do not allow that for your pets. About: I have a stay at home job where my hours are very flexible. I do have visits with clients that can last 1-3 hours but if I know that I’m caring for your dog I will do my very best to not schedule two visits in a day! I will spend lots of quality time with your dog and make sure it is getting more than enough love and care that it needs! I work in social work, so I usually have 2-3 visits per week that last between 1-3 hours. Other than that, and the other activities I spend my time doing, I will give your dog so much love when I am home! I am rarely ever gone for more than 3 hours at a time. I am available any day of the week on a normal week. I live at an apartment complex, but we are only on the second floor, have a good amount of space, and our complex even has a dog park!

Setting firm boundaries while expressing deep compassion and care is my go-to. I adore playing with active pets and giving them plenty of cuddles and attention - but if a pet is skittish of strangers or doesn't like being touched I will always give them the space they need to be themselves. Trust is a two-way street and as a human it is my responsibility to bridge the language gap with patience, love, and consistency. Making sure pets are safe and accommodated for in weather is a priority, whether that is in the form of hydration, giving them a coat, or assuaging their fears.

“I can't thank Gail and Dog Vacay enough!! Right from the meet and greet I knew I had picked the best. Our 12 year old Aussie/Collie mix Sydney felt so at home immediately. Gail's comfortable home let Sydney keep up with her daily pastimes: sleeping on the sofa and looking out the window! :) Sydney takes daily meds which were administered with no problem. Gail sent updates and even pictures to us that made my vacation more relaxed too. Gail's other little border gave Sydney a fun friend. I'm not sure Sydney wanted us to come home!
