“Another great experience with Jacki watching our kitties. She was available over New Years while we had a wedding to attend and we are so grateful she was able to help us out!”

“We highly recommend Katie’s service and care for our cats, including a senior diabetic cat who requires insulin shots. She is reliable, kind and caring and we know our pets are in good hands when we leave town.”

“Jessica is wonderful with our active kitty. She plays with him to get some of that energy out. She gives him the loving that he needs while we are away. She does everything you ask her to do. I definitely recommend Jessica.”

About: Pets have been a part of my life my whole life. I've owned everything from dogs, cats, rodents, fish, and ferrets. In high school I spent all my extra time volunteering at Kansas City Ferret Rescue. We even ran some of the shelter out of our house for a while. Currently I own 2 pit bulls and boy do I love my bully breeds. I have Marvel who is 11 and hes my gentle giant. We adopted his mother and had her her whole life and kept him from a litter of puppies she had. We've been together since birth. I also have Alice and she is getting ready to turn 5, we adopted her at 8 weeks old from a neighbor. She's super energetic. I have LOTS of training in taking care of puppies. I also own a 13 year old black Maine coon cat. I adopted him from wayside waifs when he was a tiny 8 week old kitten. My pets are very loved and yours will be also! We will have lots of fun playing with toys, going on walks and all the belly rubs. I am currently a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to spend with your babies while your away. There will be no hurry in my visits. I currently walk my dogs everyday. They are fed twice a day, morning and evening. We also play ball and Frisbee in our backyard. I will try to keep your pets schedule as close as I can to their current schedule with you.
“Tiffany is absolutely wonderful!!!! She took excellent care of our three dogs when we were out of town. She went above and beyond showing all three of them extra attention. We had lots of special quirky dog parent instructions with their medications and potty breaks 😅 and her careful attention to detail was so appreciated, and made us feel at ease while we were away! Tiffany is trusting, caring, and she even was so kind to clean up after one of the dogs had nervous accidents in the house. We will absolutely be using her again, knowing our dogs would look forward to having her back (and so would we!!!!)”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for 5 years. I’m experienced with pets of all kinds. Newborn and elderly pets, healthy and sick pets, small and large pets. I’m used to dogs who are untrained and can handle pets on the wild side. I’m a full time student at UMKC, and have classes two days a week. The longest stretch of time the pets would be alone would be about three to four hours. My schedule is flexible other than my class times, and can accommodate your pets needs. My services offer taking care of your pets in their homes, so they feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I can fit my schedule around your pet, letting them stick to their normal routines.
“Kathleen did an amazing job! She jumped in with last second notice without hesitation and helped our boy who has limited mobility after a surgery. She was prompt and very communicative with a summary of each visit, photos, and videos. Will definitely contact Kathleen again.”

“Jacqueline is outstanding! She took great care of our furbabies while we were out of town. She gave medication as prescribed and sent us pictures along with a report card every visit. Thank you so much, Jacqueline!!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs of every shape, size, and personality since I was a child. Over the years, neighbors, friends, and family have counted on me to walk their pups, keep them fed and happy, and even tackle the occasional bath time. I love getting to know each dog’s quirks, whether they’re zoomie champions, cuddle experts, or treat connoisseurs. And it’s not just dogs, I’m a huge cat lover too! From playful kittens to laid-back loungers, I’m always excited to give them just as much care and attention. I’m currently a part-time college student, which means my schedule is super flexible and leaves me with plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m available every day and almost any time you might need, morning, midday, or night, except for Thursday afternoons when I’m in class. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feedings, or just keeping your pets company, I’m more than happy to work around your routine and make sure your animals feel cared for and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I fully adapt to your pet’s usual schedule and routines so they feel comfortable and secure. “We have used Allison a few times now and she has exceeded any expectations each time. She is very responsive, punctual, and leaves great reports for our animals. I can always count on her and can’t recommend her enough.”

About: I've had a dog of my own for the past 8 years, so I understand the daily commitment, patience, and love that pets need. Being around animals is something I truly enjoy, and I treat every pet I care for with the same attention and affection I give my own. I am currently doing school so I would have plenty time to go for walks with a lot of dogs that are available at any time. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. I take the time to get to know each pet’s needs—whether it’s feeding schedules, preferred walking routes, or special care instructions.
About: I have cared for dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes from a young age. At 10 years old I stayed up all night helping my cat have her kittens and since then I've been hooked. I currently have two big fluffy dogs at home, both rescues. I'd love to share my love with your animals as well. I currently work part time Thursdays and Fridays so I have lots of time to share with your little critters. I am a snuggler myself and can't wait to love on your fur babies. I am adding more steps into my day and what better way than to play with your pets! I love nature and nurture a d would love to share that with your animals while getting outside.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Blue Springs
You did a wonderful job and I want to say thank you and appreciate all that you did with our puppies. I am sure they were not as easy as you think. Lincoln can be a handful. Stubborn well all three of them are stubborn. Thank you again and I hope to use you again for your services.

Absolutely wonderful!! We were very nervous about leaving our 11yo golden at home while we vacationed because his health is declining. She listened to all my instructions, texted me every day along with pictures, and eased my mind about leaving him. She did drop in visits and walked him around outside each day. We definitely found our sitter!
If you are looking for the best Rover(s) in KC - look no further. Steffney and Brandon are absolutely lovely - great people and treat the pets entrusted to them as their own! They helped transport and look after our golden retriever, Willow, on the day of my wedding so that she could be present for photos after our ceremony. They were communicative, timely, SO kind, and Willow was so comfortable with them that she even fell asleep in their car on the ride home. I highly, highly recommend them!! 😊❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
