“Baleigh took great care of our two dogs while we were out of town! She provided check-ins with pictures, which was so appreciated. We asked her to housesit as well and she left things tidy and exactly as we left things. I highly recommend Baleigh!”

“Jessica is great! She was very responsive and sent us pictures of our dog and cats daily. We could tell they were very well cared for while we were gone. She also kept the house very tidy. We will absolutely inquire about her services in future.”

“Allison was very attentive and loving with our animals. She went out of her way to send us picture updates of all of our cats, even the ones who were hiding. She is very dedicated and caring. Thank you for letting us know our gang was in good hands! Will be rebooking with Allison for all of our housesitting needs in the future :)”
About: I had a pet Chihuahua Ratterrier mix growing up and have experience babysitting a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel for one family. For them, I follow a feeding and walking schedule they give me. Any specific instructions and requirements are no problem for me. Let me love your dog! I am a college student at UMKC trying to save up for a trip to New York by October. I have classes Monday-Thursday (with an online class on Wednesday) but even on school days my schedule is pretty flexible. If the pet is friendly and sociable, I try to give them as much attention as possible. Animals love love but also I love to love on animals so I consider that a win-win. But I also know some pets are shy with strangers so I respect whatever the pet is feeling. If the pet is known to be destructive, I keep an eye on them as much as possible. I sometimes do have homework and responsibilities so I might be on my laptop at times as well but any concerns owners may have with that can be worked out easily. I understand all animals have their own unique personalities and needs that come with them.
About: I have always loved dogs growing up and playing with them brings me a sense of joy. I have dogs of my own and I always make sure that they are loved and cared for I currently work as a receptionist part time, so I’m free anytime to love, play, and take care of your pets whenever it’s necessary for you! At my home we have an electric fence, but we also have leashes for our dogs and others friends incase we have company over there
“Kathy watched our dogs over 4th of July weekend and did a wonderful job taking care of them and managing their anxiety. She kept me updated all weekend and left our house in great shape. We will absolutely be booking with her again in the future!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs of every shape, size, and personality since I was a child. Over the years, neighbors, friends, and family have counted on me to walk their pups, keep them fed and happy, and even tackle the occasional bath time. I love getting to know each dog’s quirks, whether they’re zoomie champions, cuddle experts, or treat connoisseurs. And it’s not just dogs, I’m a huge cat lover too! From playful kittens to laid-back loungers, I’m always excited to give them just as much care and attention. I’m currently a part-time college student, which means my schedule is super flexible and leaves me with plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m available every day and almost any time you might need, morning, midday, or night, except for Thursday afternoons when I’m in class. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feedings, or just keeping your pets company, I’m more than happy to work around your routine and make sure your animals feel cared for and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I fully adapt to your pet’s usual schedule and routines so they feel comfortable and secure. My goal is to make their day feel just like it would if you were home, with plenty of attention, patience, and care.
“Saige did a great job taking care of our pup. It felt good knowing she was watching our house while we traveled. Our dog felt loved and cared for, our house was tidy after she had left, and it was over all a great experience!”

About: Dogs have always had a special place in my heart. Since I was very small, I've connected easily with all dogs, and felt a lot of love and kindness towards them. Besides taking care of my own dogs throughout my life, I also have experience with dogsitting for friends and family. At home, I have 2 boxer lab mixes who I love dearly. Whether it's walking, bathing, feeding, or playing fetch with your dog - I promise to be a thouhtful and compassionate helper. My schedule is extreamly flexible. Whether letting them out to run in the yard, taking them for walks, or making a trip to the park; I am ready and willing to keep your dog's world as stable, dependable and joyful as possible. I am comfortable accommodating special needs like administering medications and following diet and exercise routines. My goal is to make sure your dog thrives.
“Pamela was great! She was responsive via text and left the house in perfect shape. We felt reassured knowing our pups were in good hands while we were away for a whole week!”

“Lizzie is the best. She came over first for a meet and greet and kept me up to date on how the pets were doing while in her care. She was also able to administer insulin to our diabetic pup. Would definitely recommend her.”

About: I grew up with three dogs and trained them to do the basics. I love animals of all sizes, not just dogs. I don’t have much experience with other animals but would love to learn and be as much help as possible! I currently work a full time job however my hours have been cut to part time hours so my availability is pretty open. Unfortunately my job is not a set 9-5 Mon. through Fri. There is a mid sized dog park at my apartment complex however I cannot bring my animal inside my apartment. I can definitely travel to your home and take care of your animal is one long stay or visits. And I also love taking dogs on walks so that is no problem as well.
“Caitlin has been our sitter for several years and we are so happy we found her! She is reliable and makes sure to send pictures of our pups which we love to see! Highly recommend!”

“I used Jessica for the first time and couldn’t be happier with the experience of her staying in our home and caring for Wrigley! From the start, communication was clear, timely, and reassuring. It’s never easy leaving your dog with someone new, but Jessica made me feel completely comfortable. Wrigley was well cared for, happy, and clearly got lots of attention and love while away. I really appreciated the updates and photos—it made all the difference knowing everything was going so well. I’ll absolutely be using Jessica again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring dog sitter!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Blue Springs
Allison was very communicative and exceeded our expectations as first time Rover users. She provided multiple check-ins per day with pictures we loved. During our first meet with Allison, we got a clear impression that she has done this before and she knew the right questions to ask to ensure our pets were properly cared for. Overall we really enjoyed working with Allison and will absolutely book again!

We had a wonderful experience with Mary! She was incredibly communicative throughout our trip and sent us regular updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious she truly cared about Leo and made sure he felt safe, comfortable, and kept to his normal routine. She even went above and beyond by taking our trash out, which was such a thoughtful surprise. We came home to a happy, well cared for puppy, and we could tell he had been in great hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and reliable to watch their pet!

I couldn’t be more pleased with Brittany. She conducts herself with grace and professionalism. She is responsive and prompt with messages and arrival time. I hired Brittany to sit with my dog, Aspen, because she has separation anxiety. She was very good about communicating with me about how Aspen was doing. Because Aspen was whining some, she communicated that to me immediately. Brittany wanted to be sure Aspen was ok and she didn’t need something from her that she wasn’t aware of, which wasn’t the case. Aspen was just anxious because I wasn’t home. She sent me photos of her and loved on her which was exactly what I wanted…someone to love and comfort my girl while I had to be away for the day! You cannot go wrong with Brittany!!!! HIGHLY recommend!!! I plan to use her services in the future. Knowing she was with Aspen made my day much easier mentally as I wasn’t stressed and rushing to get back home.

Baleigh took fantastic care of our four-legged daughter while we were out of town. Asked all the right questions about her care, watched the house while we were away, was clean neat professional, fantastic communication. Will definitely be booking with her again in the future. I highly recommend Baleigh for all your pet and house sitting needs!!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Blue Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Blue Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Blue Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Blue Springs. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
